Phase 5 — Advanced Integration

Objective

Give Timmy a distinctive voice in The Nexus using Gemini Native Audio and TTS API.

Design

  • Gemini TTS for reading chat responses aloud in The Nexus
  • Gemini Native Audio for hyper-realistic narration (announcements, briefings)
  • Voice selection and tuning to match Timmy's personality
  • User toggle: text-only, TTS, or full audio mode

Acceptance

  • Evaluate available TTS voices and select Timmy's voice
  • Implement TTS on chat responses in The Nexus
  • Add audio controls to the Nexus HUD (voice on/off, volume)
  • Test Native Audio for announcement/briefing generation
  • Implement audio caching to avoid re-generating repeated responses
