Goal: Investigate and resolve why PR #809 (AdaptiveCalibrator for local cost estimation) is marked NOT mergeable, and either fix it or close with explanation.

Tasks:

  1. Pull the PR branch and inspect conflicts
  2. Check if underlying issue #770 is still valid
  3. Resolve merge conflicts or rebase
  4. If code is sound, merge. If not, close PR with explanation.
  5. Update issue #809 status

Why Tonight:

Open PRs that can't merge are dead weight. This is the only open PR in the-nexus right now. Clean it up so the repo is in a healthy state for the next sprint.

Definition of Done:

  • PR #809 either merged or closed with documented reason
  • No stale open PRs in the-nexus
