Inspired by: Algorithmic Trading / Investment Engine that generates funds passively

Concept

In the game, the AI builds an investment engine to passively generate money for more wire. For us, the "investment" is:

  • Free inference credits (OpenRouter free tier, Groq free tier)
  • Local model capability (one-time compute investment, infinite returns)
  • Skill library (invest time writing skills, save time forever)
  • Automation (crons, watchdogs pay dividends every night)

Build an investment tracker:

  • Track cost per issue closed (cloud $ vs local $0)
  • Track ROI of each automation (cron saves X hours/week)
  • Track free vs paid inference ratio (sovereignty metric)
  • Optimize for lowest cost per closed issue

Acceptance Criteria

  • Cost tracker integrated into metrics pipeline
  • Weekly ROI report: cost per issue, free vs paid ratio
  • "Investment" recommendations: what to automate next for best ROI
  • Target: 80% of work done on free/local inference
