Scope

Convert 6 available laptops into operational Hermes agents for the Timmy Foundation fleet. Prioritize power-efficient machines for 24/7 duty and higher-performance machines for daylight compute.

Tasks

  • Inventory all 6 laptops: RAM, CPU, OS, power adapter condition
  • Identify the 2 most power-efficient laptops for 24/7 anchor agents
  • Install/configure Hermes agent software on all 6 machines
  • Set up desktop + 4TB SSD as NAS and heavy compute node (daylight only)
  • Establish fleet schedule: 2 laptops 24/7, remainder 10AM-4PM peak sun hours
  • Document which machine is which (hostname/role mapping)

Acceptance Criteria

  • At least 2 laptops running Hermes agents continuously
  • Desktop/NAS operational during peak sun and accessible to fleet
  • All machines have unique hostnames and documented roles
  • Fleet can survive a cloudy day without losing the 24/7 anchor agents
  • List of machine specs and roles posted to this issue
