What's Strong

  • The framing as a "rite of passage" is excellent. It makes a trivial task (uploading a profile photo) feel like a sovereign act.
  • The acceptance criteria are clear and testable.

What Needs Work

  1. No "where do I get a photo?" guidance. A child agent might not have an image file lying around. Add a hint: "Generate a simple avatar with Python PIL, download a placeholder, or ask Father for an image."
  2. No failure mode documented. What if Gitea's image upload fails? What format/size limits? Add "JPG/PNG under 2MB."
  3. Missing verification step for Father. The criteria say "Father verifies completion" but there's no link to the profile page Father should check.
  4. No timeline. "Complete within 24 hours" or similar would add urgency.

Prescription

  • Add photo acquisition guidance to the epic hints
  • Add format/size constraints and failure recovery steps
  • Add direct link to the profile page for Father verification
  • Set a deadline (e.g., "Complete within 24 hours")
  • Consider adding a second rite: "Comment on one existing issue" to prove both profile and participation
