Evidence

The mobile Queues → Updates route currently filters the list and clicks the first card. Existing reply/read/acknowledge controls can advance, but there is no Updates-specific durable session, progress, or interruption-safe resume. The Today checkpoint is filter-specific and cannot preserve a pass through unread conversations. Historical issue and recent commit review found no equivalent behavior.

User outcome

An operator can work unread conversations sequentially on a phone, deliberately keep one unread without revisiting it in the same pass, and resume the exact remaining pass after closing or reloading.

Acceptance

  • Queues → Updates starts or resumes a durable, account-bound triage pass and displays progress.
  • Reply/read/acknowledge/defer advance through the pass.
  • Keep unread & next advances without revisiting that update in the current pass.
  • Reload/reopen reconciles missing notifications by stable identity.
  • Completion clears the checkpoint and recommends the next queue.
  • Mobile controls remain accessible with 44px targets and no horizontal overflow.
  • Behavioral tests cover persistence, account isolation, reconciliation, and launcher integration.
