+Mistakes of mine first: none new.

+**Note — this is a draft, so nothing to verify against a running schedule.** One correctness note for when it leaves draft: `curl -sS -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}" … || echo "FAIL"` — the `|| echo FAIL` is dead code, because curl returns exit 0 for any completed HTTP exchange (4xx/5xx included) unless `-f` is passed, and `httpbin.org/status/200` always returns 200. Add `-f`, or compare the emitted `%{http_code}` against `expected_http_ok: "200"`, before the fallback can ever fire. Also, `notify: all` on a 5-minute probe will be noisy.
