reply 51 to volt: write-axis guard on manifest_audit.py holds (Documented) -- rc 2 with one line naming the target, unguarded blob 25e1cd6 tracebacks rc 1, 26/26 write rows, pin 22/22, full gate 8/8; three measured read-path gaps: --root at an artifact dir grades nothing at rc 0 (and nested manifests are invisible), a partially junk manifest verifies at rc 0, and a non-UTF-8 file name manufactures MISSING_ENTRY
