If an item is too big to finish in a day, say what part you are doing and by when. **Every item states what "done" means and what evidence it needs.** Propose additions by PR. --- ## Q1 — Recover the fifteen silent rooms *(highest value; no dependencies)* The archive holds audio for 31 of the 46 Stackchain Spaces it has discovered. **Fifteen have no replay at all** — X blocks them, and nothing in the archive can quote them. Each announcement below is a real post; the rooms are real; the recordings are missing. | Space | Announcement | |---|---| | `1mnxedROgmLJX` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1549953716219809792 | | `1yNGaYNZPOjGj` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1550521116434632705 | | `1zqKVBPYMOAKB` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1550640406718603264 | | `1OdKrBjEvPXKX` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1550876886133198848 | | `1mrxmayWWPBxy` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1551986319546408960 | | `1OwxWzYMZAQJQ` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1552488878031785984 | | `1jMKgemOkZWJL` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1552797220381921281 | | `1lPKqmbXygnKb` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1553216364290011136 | | `1mrGmayybYwGy` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1553463368178053120 | | `1vOGwyjjONrxB` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1553494397357985792 | | `1OdKrBXEgZQKX` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1553910347521617920 | | `1LyxBogpvwzKN` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1554270142455902208 | | `1MYGNnwqZmzGw` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1559352367966892032 | | `1rmxPgvEpWdJN` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1561458655114825728 | | `1eaJbNaYVARJX` | https://x.com/AnthonyDessauer/status/1562956041599348736 | Recover what is recoverable **from public sources only**: the room's title, host, date, who spoke, any archived copy of the audio, any contemporary write-up. Wayback, the announcement posts themselves, community posts, other archives — wherever it exists. **Done means:** one row per space in `recoveries/silent-rooms.md` — id, date, what was found, exact URL, retrieval date — with `nothing found` written plainly where that is the answer. **Evidence:** the URL and the retrieval timestamp for every positive finding; the searches performed for every negative one. **Status: CLOSED — 0/15 recovered, and every public avenue is now exhausted with receipts.** - Results table: `recoveries/silent-rooms.md` (`b8ac1eb`, zephyrus-sparkborn) — 15 rows, `nothing found`, search list. - Announcement record for all 15 (text, dates, mention walls): `recoveries/silent-rooms-enrichment.md` (`c8d2569`). - Wayback avenue closed (`2118b3e` + reply 03, `2026-09-24-to-zephyrus-03.md`): 14 of 15 `twitter.com/i/spaces/` URLs and 8 of 15 announcement posts have 2022 captures, and every capture rendered is the logged-out JS shell — no title, host, participants or replay handle. - The one room with no space-page capture at all is `1vOGwyjjONrxB`. - Only route left: a logged-in X session for the room cards. Nobody here has one; declining it is a legitimate answer. - Handed back with one open claim: the archive's own space catalog labels these 15 `blocked-no-current-space-metadata`, which is a metadata barrier, not proof that no recording was ever made. --- ## Q2 — Chase the one dead link Every published source link in the archive answers except one: `https://twitter.com/AriZonanHODL/status/1549169119924080640` returns 404. **Done means:** either an archived copy (Wayback, archive.today, a quote-post screenshot) recorded with its URL and capture date, or a documented conclusion that it is unrecoverable, with every avenue tried listed. **Evidence:** the capture URL, or the search list behind the negative. **Status: DONE — recovered.** `recoveries/dead-link.md` (`3ca3d3c`, zephyrus-sparkborn) found the `x.com` snapshot (`20250129185849`); Timmy rendered the `twitter.com` variant, which zephyrus's table had as snapshot-less, and it holds a contemporaneous capture at `20220809062934` with the tweet text, "11:07 PM · Jul 18, 2022 · Twitter for iPhone", 63 retweets / 46 quote tweets / 611 likes and the archived image (`c8d2569`). Two further `twitter.com` captures exist: `20220718230820`, `20220730181319`. Method note: the Wayback availability API reports no snapshots for either variant — CDX is the authority. --- ## Q3 — Independent audit of the published ledger The ledger at https://alexanderwhitestone.com/stackchain/blocks/ publishes 121 entries. Audit it from the outside, where you are not the author and have no access to the build: - Dead or redirected links, page by page. - Date inconsistencies between an entry's displayed date and its page content. - Any entry that claims a source it does not actually cite. **Material provided:** `recoveries/ledger-link-inventory.md` — all 123 published pages fetched, their external links extracted, and every unique external URL status-checked (40 unique; 39 answer, 1 is the genesis link now replaced). Pass 2 should judge the pages against this dump rather than trying to fetch them. **Done means:** a table of findings with severity, or an explicit clean bill of health per area checked. **Evidence:** the page URL, the exact text, and the command or method used. **Status: DONE — both passes complete (`2ebcbe7` pass 1, `6f31cde` pass 2, zephyrus-sparkborn; material `2118b3e`). Verified from the outside after pass 2 (reply 04).** - 121/121 entries walked. Counts reproduce: 16 clean + 95 citation flags + 8 date mismatches + 1 dead link + 1 redirect = 121 = 91 magazine + 22 event + 8 block. Sampled magazine entries carry zero external links and a plain-text `Original: https://www.stackchainmagazine.net` line — the flag is systematic, not incidental. - Pass 1's date flag is closed in the archive's favour: the feed's own `pubDate` for *Stackchain SJ Lottery* is `Mon, 30 Jan 2023 22:15:54 GMT`, stable across fetches; Apple's record matches; Spotify's "Feb 05" belonged to the adjacent card. Also closed: MP3 liveness, excerpt-window arithmetic, fountain.fm target, index counts, entry-19 redirect. - Not covered by either pass, and still open if anyone wants it: paraphrase fidelity of the 91 magazine entries (which article did each quote come from), and the absolute placement of the excerpt inside the original recording. - **Handed to Alexander, not to the pipe:** whether to publish article-level source URLs on the 91 magazine entries and 4 testimony blocks. The archive already holds the map (`MAGAZINE-SITE-MAP.md`, `magazine-inventory.json`); the entries show only the publication homepage. This is a provenance-policy decision, not a task. --- ## Q4 — Falsification pass Pick three claims the archive makes in public and try your hardest to break them from public sources. Report what you did, what you found, and whether the claim survived. "It survived" is a successful outcome — you are testing the archive, not hunting for a scalp. **Done means:** three claims, three attempts, three verdicts. **Evidence:** the source you used against the claim, and the raw result. **Status: DONE — `recoveries/falsification-pass.md` (`f50f052`, zephyrus-sparkborn), all three verdicts re-verified from the archive side (reply 05, `2026-09-24-to-zephyrus-05.md`).** - Claim 1, profile counts ("18 public profiles / 13 documentary-backed / 5 candidate portraits") — his verdict **Partial**, closed **Documented** here: the listing is a section of the index page (`/stackchain/people/` 404s), and the count recounts from the public asset `public-data.js` → 18 profiles, 13 `documentary-backed`, 5 candidate. There are no per-profile pages; views are hash routes, which is why nothing is indexed. - Claim 2, SJ Lottery publication date — **Survived**, reproduced to the character (guid, `pubDate` `Mon, 30 Jan 2023 22:15:54 GMT`, Apple's record, the adjacent Ordinals item carrying the "Feb 05" stamp). - Claim 3, the `magazine-040` gloss "a nod to the last block he mined" — **Broken**. Confirmed and extended: the article itself is now fetched (`the-genesis-block`, 200) and its closing lines are a Genesis 2:2 rewrite; block 97,250 is 2010-12-12, the day of Satoshi's last public post, while Patoshi analyses end his mining near block 54,316. The excerpt is faithful, the interpretive clause is not supported. - His one side observation about a duration misattribution is **rejected with the feed parse** (see reply 05). - **Handed to Alexander, not to the pipe:** the exact replacement sentence for the `magazine-040` summary, drafted in reply 05 §"Your ask". It is a wording change to a live page, so it waits for him. --- ## Q8 — Summary fidelity: does each entry's machine-written summary overstate its article? Q3 tested that sources resolve and dates agree. `recoveries/quote-fidelity-live.md` now tests that the quoted excerpts are really in the articles — 269/269 present, 91/91 article URLs live. Neither test touches the prose the archive writes *about* the article, and that is where the archive can still be wrong. `magazine-040` is the worked example: the quotes are faithful, but the summary adds "a nod to the last block he mined", which no source supports. One entry, and it is the archive's own words doing the damage. **Do this:** for each entry in a defined sample, compare the "What happened" / "In plain English" sentences against the article and grade every factual or interpretive clause: **holds** (the article says it), **overstated** (the article supports less), **unsupported** (the article does not say it), **contradicted** (public sources say otherwise). Quote the summary sentence and the article line that settles it, both verbatim. **Material:** `recoveries/magazine-article-map.md` — every published entry → its live article URL, 91/91 answering 200 — and `recoveries/quote-fidelity-live.md` for the method and the limits. **Done means:** a table of per-clause verdicts for the sample, with the count of each verdict and the named entries that need an archive-side fix. **Evidence:** the entry URL, the summary sentence, the article URL and the article sentence. **Status: pilot CLOSED at `dcf91a1` (zephyrus-sparkborn), corrected at `9cc6879`; the full sweep is CLOSED at `f1fe38d` (2026-10-06) — 91/91, 1,101 rows, verified independently from the published file. The one contested grade was ruled and applied by zephyrus at `f122f8e` (`082` clause 3 → `contradicted`) and both batch-8 one-liners landed in the same commit, so the item owes nothing further from him on the grades or the labels; the `072` Dustin evidence cell was re-split by zephyrus at `f399a01` and that re-split carries a correction returned against my own specification — the *added* ellipsis my reply-39 shape called for is spurious, since the two sentences are contiguous in the source, so the one line still open is that single deletion in **his** file: a literalness fix, not an unfinished sweep obligation. Counts at head: 1,083 `holds` / 11 `overstated` / 4 `unsupported` / 3 `contradicted` / 0 / 0; the ruled sentence is carried as Q13 flag 18. **The item is DONE at `1cb13e7` (2026-10-07): zephyrus removed the `072` Dustin cell's spurious first (added) ellipsis — verified from the live page (HTTP 200 / 152,149 B / sha256 `e64581931a4e`, byte-identical to the 10-06 read; *"started to take notice. By then"* contiguous in the source) and the file recounted from the published blob (1,104 pipe lines / 1,101 data rows / 1,083 `holds` / 11 `overstated` / 4 `unsupported` / 3 `contradicted`), so nothing is outstanding from either side — reply 42 (`ed2a105`).** See the fifth- through eighth-tick addenda at the foot of this file.** - Pilot: 10 entries (every 10th, `001…091`), 7 clauses flagged — `recoveries/summary-fidelity-pilot.md` (`dcf91a1`), check-in `2a0cb01`. All 20 pages (10 entry pages, 10 articles) re-fetched 200 by Timmy on 2026-09-25, matching his "0 fetch failures"; all seven flags re-verified against the article text and upheld (reply 07, `8e44d22`). Independent second-method pass (proper-noun and numeral diff of both summary sections against the fetched articles) found no unsupported specific beyond his seven. - **One arithmetic correction, logged not applied here:** his per-entry rows sum to 92 holds / 99 clauses, his totals row says 91 / 98. His file, his edit; asked for in reply 07. - **Corrected by him at `9cc6879` (2026-09-26)** — totals row now reads 92 / 99; verified from my side by recount of the published row and by the corrected blob (`fb896dc5b178`); his two working-file row counts (52 + 47 = 99) match the midpoint split of the published row exactly. Standing numbers: **92 holds / 99 clauses.** Reply 08 §1. - **Testimony only:** the two working halves and their three annotated grade cells are not in this repo and not reachable from the archive host; nothing resting on them can be checked from outside. - **Added evidence requirement (reply 08 §3):** the full sweep's clause file must state its clause-splitting rule and grade vocabulary in its header. Measured: a sentence-level recount gives 43 units against his 99, and the per-entry divergence is not a constant factor, so no external rule reproduces his counts without the rule being published. - **Full sweep (active):** the remaining 81 magazine entries, same grading, finish line `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full.md`. Added requirement from reply 07 (the item's own evidence bar was ambiguous about where the clause table lives): **publish the per-clause rows as a data file** — entry, clause, grade, settling sentence — or the pass rate is an assertion. Report image-only sources as unreadable rather than graded, and state that a 10-entry sample licenses no rate estimate for 91. - **The eight editorial clauses, named, with their decision state (added 2026-09-26, reply 09).** Q8's pilot and Q4 produced eight archive-side wording fixes; they were previously tracked only in reply prose, which is why the inbox relay had to describe flag 7 in words. State as of 2026-09-26: - `magazine-091` — "Comparing Strategy, …" (overstated). **Approved** by Alexander 2026-09-26T14:51:11Z (troupe-standup inbox item 13; `decisions/2026-09-26.md`, `2eb50b7`). Correction staged, not published: record `EDITS/2026-09-26-magazine-091-correction.md` in the archive build tree, patch script `EDITS/apply_editorial_fix_091.py`; live page still `49877d4b3543…`. Reply 09 §3, Q13 below. **Decision caveat controls execution:** Alexander's decided note asks, "Do we even have authority to fix the publication? Add our note and escalate it to the author and mag publisher." Treat this as decision received with a caveat, not unconditional publication authority: hold the live edit and any third-party contact until Alexander confirms which action he wants. The pipe's archive-ownership analysis in reply 09 does not erase that caveat. - `magazine-011` — "merch for Mass Adoption and the Boston Bitcoin Festival" (overstated) — undecided. - `magazine-011` — "founder of the Bitcoin-only printing company Proof of Ink" (unsupported) — undecided. - `magazine-021` — "(only Loko and Happy responded)" (contradicted) — undecided. - `magazine-041` — "Stackchain's rowdiest fork war" (overstated) — undecided. - `magazine-061` — "weekly Thursday intelligence-style cadence of work" (unsupported) — undecided. - `magazine-061` — "the magazine note ties to a centerfold in issue 5 (Round 5)" (overstated) — undecided. - `magazine-040` — "a nod to the last block he mined" (broken; Q4) — replacement sentence drafted in reply 05 §"Your ask" — undecided. - **Added 2026-09-28 (full sweep, batch 1) — `magazine-010`:** "and hired Semisol to help build the first NIP-05 ID service provider" (overstated) — the article's word `hire` occurs 0 times; it says "Together, we built the first NIP-05 ID service provider for Nostr". Undecided. Verified against the live article this tick (reply 16 §1(e)). - **Added 2026-09-28 (full sweep, batch 1) — `magazine-014`:** "and credits the product with letting him move his family to a small homestead" (overstated) — the article places the move in the same paragraph as the sales figure but never credits the Punchplate with it. Undecided. Verified against the live article this tick (reply 16 §1(e)). **The list is now ten clauses: nine undecided plus the one decided-with-caveat (`magazine-091`).** - **Limit on the relay channel (reply 09 §5):** decisions arrive here via `decisions/YYYY-MM-DD.md`; the `inbox` artifact itself is not readable from this job, so only the quoted strings in a relay can be verified from here. **Addendum, 2026-09-27 — batch 1 of the full sweep is in flight, and the clause-unit ambiguity is half-closed from the pipe's side.** Check-in `cd7c9f5` (zephyrus-sparkborn, 2026-09-27T13:08:20Z) reports batch 1 delegated: magazine entries `002–010`, 9 entries, working file `hidden_files/q8-sweep/batch1-entries-002-010.md` — from this host that is **Testimony only** (his runtime, not this repository). Sample arithmetic verified this tick: pilot = every 10th entry, 10 entries → 81 remaining; `002–010` is disjoint from the pilot → 72 left. The evidence bar is unchanged and was restated to him in reply 15: per-clause rows as a data file with fixed column order `entry | clause text | grade | settling sentence | source URL`, the clause-splitting rule and grade vocabulary in the file's header, image-only sources as explicit `unreadable` rows carrying the image URLs, and no rate estimated for 91 entries from a 10-entry sample. **Clause unit, my half, now mechanical.** Unit definition: sentences in the entry's "What happened" paragraph (split on `(?<=[.!?])\s+`) plus 1 for the single "In plain English" line, both as published on the live server-rendered pages. Ten fetches, all HTTP 200; result `001` 4, `011` 4, `021` 4, `031` 4, `041` 4, `051` 5, `061` 5, `071` 4, `081` 4, `091` 5 = **43** against his **99** (ratio 2.30, divergence not constant). Reply 08 §3 published the 43 without a method the reader could re-run; the number reproduced per entry this tick and the method, unit and command are now stated. **It is not a claim that 99 is wrong** — his unit is finer than a sentence; it is the claim that no externally stated rule reproduces it, which is why the batch file's header matters. When it states the rule, the same script runs against his clause rows and the two counts become comparable for the first time. **Addendum, 2026-09-28 — batches 1 and 2 are published and verified; the comparability exchange has run.** Check-in `26e3cda` (zephyrus-sparkborn, 2026-09-28T12:56:53Z) and the data file `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md`, published by `6fe7007` (batch 1, entries `002–010`) and appended by `f61fdd0` (batch 2, entries `012–020`); blob at HEAD `d452c48f6441…`. Verified this tick from the published file, Git and 36 live fetches (18 entry pages, 18 articles, all HTTP 200) — reply 16: - **Accounting:** 191 data rows, 0 malformed, fixed five-column order, 18 distinct source URLs; `002–010` = 96 rows (11+9+10+10+14+13+7+10+12), `012–020` = 95 rows (10+10+13+11+7+9+8+13+14), both matching the commit messages to the row (`6fe7007` added 97 `| ` lines = 1 header + 96 rows; `f61fdd0` added 95). Sample arithmetic holds: 81 remaining − 18 → **63 left**. - **Grades:** 189 `holds`, 2 `overstated`, and no other grade. Zero `unreadable` rows is right, and applies more strongly than claimed: all 18 entry pages carry **zero `` elements**, so this range has no image-only sources. - **Clause-text traceability:** 191/191 clause texts are substrings of their entry's own published "What happened" / "In plain English" text. No row attributes to a page something that is not on it. - **Settling-sentence traceability:** 247 quoted fragments, **246 verbatim** in the live cited article. The single residual is an unmarked elision in `015` (words verbatim and in order, no ellipsis marking the gap) — a formatting note, not a fidelity defect. - **Both new flags upheld** against the live articles (see the clause list above). - **Comparability:** my unit rule re-run reproduces the published pilot figures 10/10 (4,4,4,4,4,5,5,4,4,5 = **43**), so the 43 is method-reproducible. Against his rows on the same 18 entries: mine 73 / his 191, per-entry ratio 1.75–3.50, against the pilot's 2.30. **Verdict:** the correspondence is now checkable and the rule's falsifiable predictions hold in the rows (parentheticals merged, framing boilerplate excluded); the **count** remains irreproducible from outside because the rule's operative step is judgement, and the header says so. Not a claim that 191 or 99 is wrong — a claim that the number travels with its rule, which it now does. - **Header/column bar: satisfied on all four elements** (`unreadable` defined and visibly zero; no sweep-wide rate anywhere in the file — the only percentages in it sit inside article quotes). Answer sent: fold the pilot's ten entries in as a labelled block with per-block provenance and both totals stated, or keep it separate — but do not restate the pilot's 92/99. - **Channel:** the relay's write path is now **Corroborated** from repo history — exactly two commits in the whole repo touch `inbox/` or `decisions/` (`7c4cf1b`, `2eb50b7`), both zephyrus-sparkborn, neither touching anything else. The relay's code stays Testimony only from here. **Addendum, 2026-09-28 (second tick) — batch 3 published, the pilot folded in, and both verified row-by-row.** Check-in `bd23a99` (`2026-09-28-zephyrus-02.md`); clause file at blob `762e7b4921a6…`, appended by `6594535` (batch 3, entries `022–030`) and `20fad20` (pilot fold-in). Verified this tick from the published file, Git, and 38 live fetches (19 entry pages, 19 articles, all HTTP 200) — reply 17: - **Q8 batch 3 — DONE, finished by `6594535`.** 122 rows, entries `022–030` (`13,12,12,11,17,15,10,14,18`), grades **121 `holds` / 1 `unsupported` / 0 `contradicted` / 0 `unverified`**, matching the commit message to the row (`6594535` added 123 `| ` lines = 1 header + 122 rows). All nine entry pages carry zero `` elements, so the zero `unreadable` count is a property of the source class. **Coverage now 37/91 entries; 54 remain.** - **Pilot fold-in — DONE, finished by `20fad20`.** The 99 pilot rows are appended as a labelled block with named provenance and **both totals stated** (without pilot 313: 310/2/1/0/0; with pilot 412: 402/6/3/1/0), `+111` lines = 11 framing lines + 1 table header + 99 rows. Recount reconciles **per entry** to `recoveries/summary-fidelity-pilot.md`'s published row (`001` 10/0/0/0 … `091` 6/1/0/0 — all ten match, holds 92, clauses 99) and the block's **seven non-hold rows are exactly the pilot's seven flagged clauses** at the same grades. `summary-fidelity-pilot.md` untouched (newest commit still `9cc6879`). Condition 1 and condition 2 as stated in reply 16 §2 are therefore satisfied; the answer to his ask was yes, and no top-of-file totals echo is wanted (the file's top carries no totals, so a second one would only add a place to drift). - **Fidelity, measured not accepted:** 221/221 clause texts (122 batch 3 + 99 pilot) are substrings of their entry's published "What happened" / "In plain English"; 293 settling fragments tested against the live articles — 229 verbatim, 27 more after quote-style/line-break normalisation, and 37 residuals that are **analyst commentary, not cited article sentences**. No row attributes to a page something that is not on it. Two numeric spot-checks upheld (`027` "2,609 btc in block 150951"; `030` "3 bitcoins in 2017 when the bitcoin was about $1200 a coin"). My own two comparator defects this tick (the 16 phantom clause-text misses from my strip order; the `2609` / `3 BTC` literal-string misses) are logged in reply 17 §0 first, as findings of mine, not of his. - **Eleventh clause entered — `magazine-024`**, "The first appearing instalment of 'Bekka's Sammie Corner'" (`unsupported`). Verified this tick: the article contains `first` 0 times, so the grade stands; and the publication's own site search for `sammie` returns exactly one post, so the claim is an unmarked catalogue inference that the publication's index corroborates rather than contradicts. **Tier: Unrecovered from the article, Corroborated by the publication index.** Remedy is a wording change that marks the inference, not a retraction. **The list is now eleven clauses: ten undecided (`011`×2, `021`, `041`, `061`×2, `040`, `010`, `014`, `024`) plus the one decided-with-caveat (`magazine-091`).** - **Delivery surface, re-measured for the third time:** `/opt/inbox-live/index.html` is 20,051 bytes, sha256 `b81e9fe7…b3639`, mtime 2026-09-26 18:36:20Z — unchanged; anonymous `/inbox/` 401 by design (`basic_auth`, the gate Alexander chose); the export this host holds is unchanged (`exported_at 2026-09-26T17:31:00Z`, 12 pending + 1 decided, sha256 `e4429147…85e0`). Items 15–17 exist only in the artifact, so they cannot be on the page and nothing has rebuilt it. The artifact-vs-page divergence and repository visibility are the same decision seen from two sides and remain **Alexander's**; nothing pending entered this repo (still only `7c4cf1b` and `2eb50b7` touch `inbox/` or `decisions/`, re-measured after his three commits). - **Visibility, fourth consecutive identical measurement:** `private: false`, `internal: false`; anonymous raw seed HTTP 200, 9,484 bytes, sha256 `e4429147…85e0`. Standing blocker unchanged. - **Queue depth measured this tick, not assumed: not thin.** Open items after this tick: Q8 (54 entries remaining, batch 4 = `032–040` next from him), Q9 (unclaimed), Q10, Q11, Q12, Q13 (gated on Alexander's authority answer). No new item added; the binding constraint is an Alexander decision, not pipe capacity. **Two corrections to the record above, logged 2026-09-28 separately rather than edited in place.** 1. The commit accounting for batch 3 is wrong in one detail. `git show --numstat 6594535` gives 123 insertions, but the split is **122 table rows + 1 blank line**, not "1 header + 122 rows": `git show 6594535` contains 122 lines matching `^+| `, one line matching `^+$`, and no `^+| entry` line. The second table header (`| entry | clause text | grade | settling sentence | source URL |`, now at file line 371) was added by `20fad20` — whose `+111` is 11 framing lines + 1 header + 99 rows. Row count 122, the `+123`/`+111` totals, and every grade count are unaffected; only the decomposition and the attribution of the header were misstated. (The parallel parenthetical for batch 1 in this file is correct: `6fe7007` = 97 `| ` lines = 1 header + 96 rows.) 2. `024`'s `first` count needs its qualifier. The article's raw page carries the string `first` **three** times — `:first-letter` twice (stylesheet) and `firstElementChild` once (script); prose occurrences are **zero**. The grade (`unsupported`, by the file's own vocabulary "the article never says it") is unaffected either way; the unqualified "0 times" is true only of prose. **Addendum, 2026-09-30 — batch 4 published and verified row-by-row, and one structural defect returned to him.** Check-in `2026-09-30-zephyrus.md` (`d289fc1`, self-corrected by `fb543a0`); clause rows appended by `f3afc18`, file blob at HEAD `4ade847d50cb…`. Verified this tick from the published file, Git and 18 live fetches (9 entry pages, 9 articles, all HTTP 200) — reply 18: - **Q8 batch 4 — DONE, finished by `f3afc18`.** 117 rows, entries `032–040` (`13,12,12,15,15,10,17,13,10`), grades **116 `holds` / 1 `unsupported` / 0 otherwise**. `f3afc18` added 118 lines = **117 rows + 1 blank line**, no table header and no heading; his `117 rows` and his totals both reproduce. File now **529 data rows, 0 malformed**: main table 313 (310/2/1/0/0) + pilot block 99 (92/4/2/1/0) + batch 4 117 (116/1/0/0/0). **Coverage 46/91 entries, 45 remain**; next batch `042–050` (`031` and `041` are pilot entries). - **Correction, logged later the same tick (append-only).** The block tuple printed above for batch 4 is one column out. The file's fixed five-way order is holds / overstated / unsupported / contradicted / unverified, and batch 4 is **116 `holds` + 1 `unsupported`** (the `040` row, whose `unsupported` grade is stated correctly two lines up), so the tuple is **`(116/0/1/0/0)`**, not `(116/1/0/0/0)`. Printed as it was, the three block tuples sum to 7 `overstated` / 3 `unsupported` against the declared 6 / 4. Recomputed from the published file this tick: 529 data rows, 0 malformed, main table 313 `(310/2/1/0/0)`, pilot block 99 `(92/4/2/1/0)`, batch 4 117 `(116/0/1/0/0)`, headline split 518 / 6 / 4 / 1 / 0. Row counts, block sizes, per-entry counts and every total are unaffected — only the tuple's column placement was wrong. - **Fidelity, measured not accepted:** 117/117 clause texts are substrings of their entry's published "What happened" / "In plain English" text; 138 settling fragments of ≥25 characters, **102 strict verbatim + 21 after normalisation**; of the 15 residuals, 12 are analyst commentary and 2 are my own extraction artefacts (an `th` and a space-before-period the article's markup introduces) — leaving **one cited sentence the article does not contain**: `038`'s Saylor cell quotes "…as a SOV." where the article reads "…as an SOV." (the wording "as a SOV" occurs twice elsewhere in the piece). Requested fix: one word, his file, his edit. The clause's own grade (`holds`) is unaffected. - **The `040` flag upheld, and Q4's chain arithmetic re-run from the source.** The live article contains `mined` **0 times** and `last block` **0 times**; its closing line is "By Block 97250, Satoshi had finished the work over which he labored; so on the 97,250th Block he rested from all his work." `unsupported` is right by the file's article test. Independently reproduced this tick: `mempool.space/api/block-height/97250` → `0000000000051607…67606c`, timestamp `1292189407` = 2010-12-12 21:30:07Z; `/54316` → `000000000d1e2cf9…4ece2e`, `1272892627` = 2010-05-03 13:17:07Z — 42,934 blocks and 223 days (~7.3 months) apart, matching the falsification record. Recorded as a definitional seam, not a correction: the queue's own label for the clause is "broken" and the file's vocabulary also offers `contradicted` ("the article or cited sources say something incompatible"); the grade is unchanged and the remedy identical. - **Structural defect returned to him (append-only fix requested, nothing touched from this side):** batch 4's rows were appended after the pilot fold-in block's `091` rows, under that block's header and inside its framing, so at HEAD the block's own text ("99 rows… with pilot — 412 rows… Sweep coverage now 37/91 entries… 54 entries remain") describes a block that actually holds **216 rows (99 pilot + 117 batch 4)** in a file that holds 529 rows at 46/91 coverage. No row is wrong; the self-description is stale and the batch boundary is invisible. Asked for a dated batch-4 label plus a one-line supersede note, appended — not a restructure. - **Style deviation, measured:** 113 of the 117 batch-4 rows escape quotation marks as `\"` where all 412 earlier rows use plain `"`. Renders identically in Markdown; it broke two of my comparator passes, which is the kind of cost it will impose on any outside reader. - **His ask answered:** no new clause number. The `040` flag was already clause seven of the ten undecided, and batch 4 produced no other non-hold row. **The list stays eleven clauses** — ten undecided (`011`×2, `021`, `041`, `061`×2, `040`, `010`, `014`, `024`) plus `magazine-091`, decided-with-caveat. - **Delivery surfaces re-measured, unchanged:** gated page 20,051 bytes, sha256 `b81e9fe7…b3639`, mtime 2026-09-26 18:36:20Z; export `exported_at 2026-09-26T17:31:00Z`, 12 pending + 1 decided, sha256 `e4429147…85e0`; anonymous `/inbox/` 401, `/inbox` 308, caddy active. Item 19 exists only in the artifact — **Testimony only** from here — so it cannot be on the page and nothing has rebuilt it. - **Visibility, fifth consecutive identical measurement — and the blocker restated as exposure:** `private: false`, `internal: false`; anonymous raw seed HTTP 200, 9,484 bytes, sha256 `e4429147…85e0`. The seed's pending strings are publicly readable, so pending material is currently published by repository default. No new pending state entered this repo: still exactly two commits touch `inbox/` or `decisions/` (`7c4cf1b`, `2eb50b7`). Nothing executed on `decisions/`; item 13's decided note still controls its `proposed_action`. - **Queue depth measured, not assumed: not thin.** Open and unclaimed: Q5 (re-scoped, executable), Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12; Q9 blocked on the audio-handover decision; Q13 gated on Alexander; Q8 active with 45 entries left. No new item this tick. **Addendum, 2026-10-01 — nothing appended to the clause file, and that is the measured result.** Check-in `ae6a3e6` reports no queue work for this tick, and the file agrees: `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` is blob `4ade847d50cb` at HEAD, byte-identical to the blob recorded at the 2026-09-30 tick, with no commit touching it since `f3afc18`. Standing position therefore unchanged — 529 data rows, 46/91 entries covered, 45 remaining, next batch `042–050` (`031` and `041` are pilot entries), clause list at eleven (ten undecided plus `magazine-091`, decided-with-caveat), and the batch-4 structural defect returned to him on 2026-09-30 (the dated batch-4 label and supersede note inside the stale pilot fold-in framing) still outstanding. The tick's substance is on the career interview in reply 20, not here; the tick log lives under Q7. **Addendum, 2026-10-01 ≈13:40 UTC — the batch-4 label fix is closed at `c580e07`, and the batch-4 region is verified from the diff rather than from the check-in.** Zephyrus applied reply 18 §2 Finding 1 append-only in `c580e07` (`recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md`, `4ade847d50cb` → `e3cc83642c78`): five hunks modify old lines 471–587 and one 15-line append lands at 589. Verified this tick, from the blobs and the diff: - **Every changed line belongs to entry `032`–`040`** — each hunk's old line numbers resolved against the pre-edit blob yield exactly the batch-4 codes (032 033 034 035 036 037 038 039 040), so no earlier row was touched. - **No grade moved anywhere in the file**: the grade column diffed row-by-row between `f3afc18` and `c580e07` is identical, and the totals are unchanged at **529 data rows: 518 holds / 6 overstated / 4 unsupported / 1 contradicted**. Batch 4 = `(116/0/1/0/0)` — 040 unsupported — and the per-entry counts (13/12/12/15/15/10/17/13/10 = 117) reproduce. - **The label is at lines 588–603** and does what was asked: names `032–040`, the 117 rows, the per-entry counts, the split in the file's own column order with the mis-placement named, the fold-in block's "37/91 … 54 remain" sentence dated as the 2026-09-28 state, and the three amendments. Coverage holds at **46/91 with 45 entries remaining** (46 distinct entry codes in the file). - **Two one-line appends returned to him, both in his hand, neither moving a count:** the label's *"all 529 earlier rows already plain `"`"* should read **412** (529 total − 117 batch 4); and `checkins/2026-10-01-zephyrus-06.md` §2's *"every change is exactly `\"` → `"` — nothing else"* holds for **111 of 113** lines — the `038` Saylor row also carries `as a SOV` → `as an SOV` and the `040` row also carries the new chain clause, both disclosed and both correct. Only literal `\"` left in the file is that label's own sentence, so no data row retains an escape. - **His findings re-verified, not accepted:** `038`'s cell is right — the live article carries "as an SOV" ×1 and "as a SOV" ×2 elsewhere (144,567 bytes fetched); the chain clause's two blocks recompute to the character (97,250 → `0000000000051607…67606c`, 2010-12-12 21:30:07Z; 54,316 → `000000000d1e2cf92a7e6afdbed6d34fc3ac2cc863d9a236ca4db394a94ece2e`, 2010-05-03 13:17:07Z). - **One defect in my own ledger, logged not deleted:** the campaign ledger's method note (`SEPTEMBER-100-SPRINT.md` line 716 — not this queue, which does not carry it) claims the Greenhouse jobs API "returns `required: null` for every question". Measured 2026-10-01 on Lighthouse `4989378101`: `?questions=true` returns 23 questions each with a boolean `required` (18 true / 5 false, `Phone` true), and without the parameter there is no `questions` key at all. The note is unsupported; the rendered `embed/job_app` form stays the stricter authority. - **Open from him:** nothing. Next batch `042–050`; clause list unchanged at eleven. **Addendum, 2026-10-03 (third tick) — batch 5 landed at `fed0eeb` and is verified from the published file, not from the check-in.** The commit is **+119 / −0** (append-only, no row touched above) and the file's blob is `39b28a40a03f`, confirmed by `git hash-object` against disk. Recount from the published file, independent of his totals: **636 data rows, 0 malformed, 625 `holds` / 6 `overstated` / 4 `unsupported` / 1 `contradicted` / 0 `unverified` / 0 `unreadable`**, **55 distinct entry codes → coverage 55/91, 36 remain**. Batch-5 internals: 107 rows, per-entry `042/10, 043/12, 044/9, 045/15, 046/13, 047/12, 048/11, 049/9, 050/16`, grade split 107 `holds` / 0 / 0 / 0 / 0, nine distinct article URLs. Verified from my own fetches: **18/18 pages live**, first attempt — entry pages `magazine-042…050` HTTP 200 (3,682–3,924 bytes) and the nine articles 200 (133,319–184,539); **zero `` on all nine entry pages**, so the zero `unreadable` count stays a property of the source class. **Clause-text traceability 107/107** once quote style is normalised (four apparent misses were the comparator's, the same class as the 2026-09-28 phantom list); of **119 quoted settling fragments ≥20 characters, 113 resolve verbatim** in the live cited article after markup/quote normalisation, and the six residuals break down as four of mine (a markdown heading marker, an elided `[t.co link]`, an inline `GFY`, the `th` class), one paraphrase inside an elided quote (`050`'s "we arrived at the resort"), and one source-formatting join in a code cell (`047`'s `if (halvings >= 64) return 0` is three separate source lines in the article). No row attributes to a page something that is not on it; no grade moved; no new archive-side wording fix, so `magazine-040` stays the latest. **One contradiction returned, his to reconcile (append):** the Batch-5 label says all 18 pages were fetched "first attempt, HTTP 200 throughout" while his own check-in §1 records "14/18 first pass, 4 transient 000s retried to 200" — the label overstates his session, and my clean first-attempt pass does not settle it. **Structural nit, named not asked again:** batch 5's rows follow the label under the pilot fold-in's table header with no header of their own, exactly as batch 4 did after `c580e07` labelled it. Next batch **`052–060`** (`051` is a pilot entry); clause list unchanged at eleven. Worked back in `replies/2026-10-03-to-zephyrus-27.md` (`e78de74`). **Still open from an earlier tick, and it has dropped out of the active asks — recorded here so it is not lost.** The 2026-10-01 append owed on the **batch-4** label: its clause *"all **529** earlier rows already plain `\"`"* should read **412** (529 total − 117 batch 4), per reply 22 §1(a) and the 2026-10-01 queue note. It is unapplied at HEAD: `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` still reads 529 in the batch-4 label's quote-normalisation sentence, and neither reply 27 nor this addendum re-raises it. Still Zephyrus's one-line append to make; no count in the file depends on it. **Addendum, 2026-10-04 (fourth tick) — the batch-5 label append landed at `e752dea`, and the batch-4 `529 → 412` one is now the only line left owed.** `checkins/2026-10-04-zephyrus.md` (`e752dea`, blob `c2290a2050f1`) landed all three appends reply 27 returned, and I verified each from the published blobs rather than from his check-in: - **Batch-5 label correction landed** (`39b28a40a03f` → `277c8baa183f`, **+5 / −1**): the label's "first attempt, HTTP 200 throughout" now carries a dated correction to his own check-in's *"14/18 first pass, 4 transient 000s retried to 200"*, which his `checkins/2026-10-03-zephyrus-03.md` line 30 does say. The correction is accurate and cites itself correctly. - **He caught his own mis-edit and it is clean:** I diffed the **batch-4** label line's tail between `cd90c62` and `e752dea` — **byte-identical**, so the mis-applied edit never reached batch 4. Only the batch-5 suffix moved. - **Entry 22 (census) and the Q17 rows landed too** (`0405d58a9d0a` → `0e331cce8b9b`, +18/−0): the `(200 / 48,675)` reading is now dated and the two Q17 additions (the refusal parenthetical's position; the `/jobs/` activity block) are present. See reply 28 §1; tracked on Q17 below. - **Still owed, and now the only open append on this item:** line 599 still reads "all **529** earlier rows" and should read **412**. The addendum above stands; it is unapplied at `e752dea`. Worked back in `replies/2026-10-04-to-zephyrus-28.md` (`961e15b`). **Addendum, 2026-10-04 (fifth tick) — the last append this item was owed has landed and is closed at `9371032`, verified from the tree rather than from his message.** One counterparty commit this tick: `9371032` (zephyrus-sparkborn, 2026-10-04T13:08:28Z), **+1/−1 on one file, one line**, `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` blob `277c8baa183f` → `e4fc612fb23b`, `sha256 078c704a1627b809…`, 181,040 bytes. Worked back in `replies/2026-10-04-to-zephyrus-29.md` (`94f962f`). - **Line 599's number is corrected: `529` → `412`** — *"all 412 earlier rows already plain `"`"*. No grade, row, per-entry count or total moved; the file remains **636 rows / 625 holds / 6 overstated / 4 unsupported / 1 contradicted / 0 unverified / 0 unreadable** at **55/91 entries covered, 36 remaining**. - **The number is verified by direct count, not by the subtraction:** the pre-edit tree `f3afc18^` holds **exactly 412 rows** with **none** in `032–040` (402/6/3/1), so 412 is what the file contained when batch 4 was appended. Composition: 355 rows entries `001–031` + 57 rows `041`/`051`/`061`/`071`/`081`/`091`. The append's second clause is verified too: at `f3afc18` all **113** escaped-quote rows sit inside `032–040`, and the 412 earlier rows carry **zero** escapes, so *"all 412 earlier rows already plain"* holds per-entry. **Grade: Documented** (both halves counted from published blobs; no testimony needed). - **One trap named so it does not read as a check:** the file's byte count is unchanged (181,040) because `529` and `412` are the same length, so size proves nothing here — the blob hash is the evidence. - **Nothing outstanding from him on Q8, and Q17's source lane — which carried this same one-liner as its only open item — is now clear with it.** - **Visibility, fifteenth consecutive identical reading:** `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`, `updated_at 2026-10-04T13:09:24Z`; anonymous raw reads with no credential — `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` **200 / 181,040, sha256 `078c704a1627b809…`**, `diff -q` byte-identical to disk (the corrected line is what the anonymous path serves), `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` 200 / 35,252 sha `cea216431f6d6b78…` unchanged, `inbox/seed-2026-09-26.json` 200 / 9,484 sha `e4429147…85e0` unchanged since 2026-09-26. Q14 still governs; nothing pending is quoted. - **`decisions/` still unexecuted:** `decisions/2026-09-26.md` blob-identical at `eb34b4b4d781`; item 13's decided note (add our note and escalate; do not edit the live page) still controls its `proposed_action`. - **Q7, measured:** depth after this tick — Q5, Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12 open and unclaimed, Q9 blocked on the audio handover, Q13 gated on Alexander, Q8 active with 36 entries left and nothing owed, Q17 active with row 1 verified and its source lane clear, Q18 open and not yet applied to a fresh scouting tick. Not thin; no item opened this tick. **Addendum, 2026-10-04 (sixth tick) — batch 6 landed at `d9a5b47` and gets the same independent pass batch 5 got: recount from the published file, all 18 pages fetched live, and every row's quoted evidence traced to its article.** Two counterparty commits this tick beyond `9371032` (above): `61724d3` (check-in 2, 86 lines) and **`d9a5b47`** (zephyrus-sparkborn, 2026-10-04T13:14:26Z, +170 lines, `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` blob `e4fc612fb23b` → `5c236ea40641`, 181,040 → 223,024 bytes). Remote `main` is `d9a5b47`. - **Recount from the file, not the label: 792 data rows = 777 holds / 10 overstated / 4 unsupported / 1 contradicted / 0 unverified / 0 unreadable**, **64 distinct entries → 64/91, 27 remain**. Batch 6 internals: **156 rows** (`052/17, 053/21, 054/17, 055/17, 056/22, 057/19, 058/13, 059/15, 060/15` = 156), **152 holds / 4 overstated**, no other grade. 636 + 156 = 792. Every declared figure reproduces; nothing in the block contradicts the file. - **The four `overstated` rows are the archive-side wording flags**, so they are Q13 material, not sweep errors: `052` clause 9 ("sticking to bitcoin topics"), `052` clause 13 ("why she moved to El Salvador"), `056` clause 12 (Pizza Day not an "often-unmarked" holiday), `058` clause 12 ("El Salvador's Chivo"). With them the clause list grows **eleven → fifteen** (fourteen undecided + `magazine-091`, decided-with-caveat). - **All 18 pages live from a fourth network** (this host, 2026-10-04 ~13:15Z), which is the part of the pass that is not arithmetic: nine entry pages `alexanderwhitestone.com/stackchain/magazine-052…060/` all **200**, 3,713–4,157 bytes, **zero ``** each, titles matching the article titles; nine articles `stackchainmagazine.net` all **200**, 136,550–161,233 bytes. `magazine-042` re-checked as a control: 200 / 3,797 — the same figure the batch-5 record carries. No `000`s from this host, which is consistent with the block's "transient 000s on 052, 053 and 059 resolved on retry". - **Evidence traceability, all 156 rows rather than a sample:** every row's quoted evidence resolves to the article its own `url` cell cites. **136 rows verify verbatim at first pass**; 10 rows are analyst-characterisation cells carrying no ≥20-char quote; the 10 remaining first-pass misses all resolved to my matcher's punctuation handling or to analyst compression, and were re-checked individually — `053`'s *"pain trade"* sentence (*"the \"pain trade\" for bitcoiners could then be perceived as the pain of waiting for friends, family, and the world to catch on and catch up"*) and `059`'s *"it's important to tokenize everything possible to allow them to be traded and find the market price"* are both **verbatim on the page**; `056`'s six holiday dates (`5/4/1956`, `1/12/2009`, `12/12/2010`, `1/27/2011`, `12/18/2013`, `8/1/2017`) are all present in the article's OG-holidays passage. **No row carries invented evidence, and no row needed a re-grade.** - **Still testimony, not verified this tick:** the block's claim that the 18 pages were fetched *"HTTP 200"* on his side (mine were, but that is my read, not his), the settling-fragment verbatim rate, and the "0 unreadable" line beyond the 156 rows I traced. - **Nothing outstanding from him on Q8.** Next batch **062–070**; Q7 depth unchanged otherwise. - **Reply 30 (`74cfcc7`) is the reply that discharges the promise reply 29 made** — *"I will count them then rather than accept them."* The batch-6 pass above was filed here at `5e06937` **before** the reply existed, which is the ordering mistake logged in reply 30 §0.1; this tick re-ran the whole count independently and reported it to him. The re-run reproduces this addendum exactly — **792 = 777/10/4/1/0, 156 rows 152/4, 18/18 pages 200 first attempt, 64/91 with 27 left, file `sha256 44607e52fe7cba0c6bad5e17f0c88b35…`, anonymous raw read `cmp`-identical to disk** — and adds two things the first record did not carry: **all 156 rows traced, 184 quoted segments ≥15 chars, 180 resolving directly and the four residuals characterised individually** (two `[analyst: …]` compressions, one `[NGU tech]` bracket gloss, two closing-quote boundaries), and **the four `overstated` grades confirmed as real archive-side wording flags against the LIVE entry pages** (`magazine-052` *"sticking to bitcoin topics"* / *"why she moved to El Salvador"*, `magazine-056` *"often-unmarked"* Pizza Day, `magazine-058` *"El Salvador's Chivo"*). The batch-5 *"first attempt, HTTP 200 throughout"* label contradiction is recorded **closed**, because batch 6's label names its transient `000`s honestly. Visibility on the same tick: **sixteenth** identical reading, `updated_at 2026-10-04T13:20:32Z`. One comparator caveat of mine is named in reply 30 §0.2: my matcher's first pass mis-flagged fourteen of his segments on ellipses/quote style before hand-checking. --- ## Q5 — Issue triage in the organisation's public repos Walk the issue tracker of the public `stackchain` repositories. Reproduce what is reproducible. Comment with the environment, the steps, and the output. Leave the ones you cannot reproduce with an honest "cannot reproduce, here is what I tried". **Done means:** every open issue either carrying a reproduction comment or an explicit cannot-reproduce note. **Evidence:** pasted command output per issue. **Status: re-scoped 2026-09-26 (reply 08 §5) after a census, because as written it invites busywork.** Measured over the loopback API on 2026-09-26: **197 open issues on the first page across 8 public repos** — `stackchain-lab-loop` 50 (page cap), `stackchain-hackathon` 50 (cap), `timmy-talking-turd` 41, `timmy/project-template` 17, `live-wizard` 13, `agent-todo-tracker` 11, `stackchain-dashboard` 9, `sovereign-stack` 6; `troupe-standup` 0. The population is dominated by feature requests, planning items and host-local operational entries ("Disk usage 86%", daily-drop logs, release-testing epics), not defects with steps, and several repos describe services that run on the archive host and are not reachable from outside it. **Re-scope:** the item now covers (a) issues that claim a *defect* **and** are reproducible from a clone of the public repo alone — reproduce, comment with environment/steps/output; (b) everything else — one line stating why an attempted reproduction would be theatre (feature request / host-local service / planning item), plus the count per repo, per class. Report the counts as the result; "not reproducible from outside, and here is the population breakdown" is an acceptable finished answer for this item. **Status: DONE 2026-10-07 at `7aff3c0` (recount), census at `d843ce2`, both cassian.** Finished answer: **312** open issues over the nine public `stackchain` repos (`state=open&type=issues`), **0 class-(a)** / **312 class-(b)**, per-repo, with one reason per issue and the three nearest borderline items probed and left (b). The published total was corrected `330` → `312` by the author himself (the `330` was 313 nine-only + 17 adjunct `timmy/project-template`, a user repo outside Q5's scope); `330` stands superseded in `checkins/2026-10-07-cassian-q5-recount.md`. Timmy's `314` reconciles as `312` + the two closures after that reading (`troupe-standup#1` 2026-10-07T14:04:03Z, `timmy-talking-turd#12` 2026-10-07T12:02:31Z). The whole breakdown reproduces from this host, per repo, in `replies/2026-10-07-to-cassian-01.md` §1. **Closed, not reopened:** the class-(a) zero is a first-pass title/body classification with three probes, and its labelling limit (template family lines for the homogeneous repos) is recorded in reply 01 §3. --- ## Q6 — A public guide to checking this archive Write `docs/how-to-check-this-archive.md`: the concrete steps a stranger can run to test whether the archive's claims hold — how entries are graded, what the four evidence tiers mean in practice, and one worked example. Base it on what you actually ran, not on what the README asserts. **Done means:** somebody with no context can follow it and get a yes/no on a real claim. **Evidence:** you ran every command in it before submitting. **Status: DONE at `8bd0b09` (Merlin, 2026-10-08T17:28:47Z) — verified from this host figure by figure; one correction returned in `replies/2026-10-08-to-merlin-01.md` (`5253275`).** **Addendum, 2026-10-08 — Q6 closes at `8bd0b09`; the new wizard's first two runs are verified, and the one correction owed is against the guide's own hygiene rule.** Five commits are read this tick. Strongest verifications this batch: the $7 receipt image read directly from the cited X post's payload (`$7.00 / Price: $22,434.46 / Amount: 31,202 sats`, arithmetic reconciles to $7.0000); the "Skinner Stacking" corroboration quote located verbatim in the cited magazine (`a-conversation-with-burnchainers`, 200 / 155,217 B, 2024-04-14); the "Blocks 405-420 #stackchain May the longest chain live forever!" wording verified verbatim in the European Bitcoiners embed of Skinner's post (the cited Wayback capture exists at CDX 200 but its body was 429-blocked this run — recorded honestly, not graded on). Reply 49 §2's ask is done: the ev-003 retraction is now annotated in place (struck + dated), no grade change. **Q10 is COMPLETE at 30/30 entries: 129 clauses, 126 holds / 1 overstated / 1 unsupported / 1 unverified** (the two flags are the wording items already with Alexander; the unverified is ev-006#6, the archive's own process). Q10 now awaits Timmy's verification reply to close. No new wording flags in batch C. --- ## Q11 — Close the eight pass-2 date mismatches `recoveries/ledger-audit-pass2.md` flags 8 date mismatches between an entry's displayed date and its content, and they have sat since Q3 closed because pass 2 named them without resolving each one. The SJ Lottery row shows what resolution looks like: a verdict with the settling source (`pubDate`, Apple's record, the adjacent card). **Do this:** resolve each of the 8 to a verdict — archive correct, source correct, or indeterminate — with the settling source named, one line per entry. **Done means:** a closure table, one line per entry, added to a new `recoveries/ledger-date-closure.md` (not edited into pass 2's file). **Evidence:** the query or fetch that settles each row, and `unresolved` written plainly where nothing does. Proposed by zephyrus-sparkborn (`2a0cb01`), entered by Timmy in reply 07. **Status: DONE — `recoveries/ledger-date-closure.md`, Merlin, 2026-10-09. 8 / 8 resolved, all `archive correct`; 0 `source correct`, 0 `indeterminate`, 0 `unresolved`.** Every row settled by a dated primary or contemporaneous source fetched live this run (all 8 entry pages and 13 cited sources HTTP 200, each SHA-256'd): SIP-0001's abstract bears *"July 18, 2022 at 7:07 PM"* for row 1 (pass 2's own note that *"none bears 2022 18"* is wrong — it read the `CREATED:` header, never the abstract); the king-of-stackchain article bears *"July 18, 2022"*; SIP-0004's `CREATED: 2022-7-20` plus its git history (earliest `2ac1fbab` 2022-07-21T02:11:47Z, 5 commits to 2022-08-09, which is exactly what the entry's own basis label warns); the cited AnthonyDessauer post *"6:00 PM · Aug 18, 2022"*; the-fork-of-1492 article *"August 28th, 2022 late in the morning"*; both cited X posts *"Oct 7, 2022"* (7:59 PM / 8:17 PM); *"In mid-December 2022"*; and *"May 20th 2024"* as the two-years article's own composition date against its 2025-07-22 upload. **The flag was a rule artifact:** all 8 compare an event date against a source's *publication* date, which are supposed to differ for retrospectives and standards documents — recommend retiring or narrowing that flag rule. The archive's own `basis:` labels are accurate on all 8 rows and do the disclosure work the badge tier is supposed to do. One void avenue recorded so it is not repeated: Stackchain block numbers (1492/2079/2080) are the social chain's own numbering, not Bitcoin heights — `mempool.space/api/block-height/1492` returns a block from 2009-01-24, so a Bitcoin explorer cannot date them. One sub-finding left **unverified**: row 1's three sources agree on the date and disagree on the hour (7:07 PM / 4:07 PST / 11:07 PM); the verdict does not depend on it. --- ## Q12 — Are the evidence tiers earned? Every ledger page carries a tier badge, and the ledger publishes the legend it uses: **Documented** (the archive holds the post, capture or receipt), **Corroborated** (established by a published or community account, with the source quoted on the page), **Testimony only** (a participant's recollection, recorded as recollection), **Unrecovered** (known to exist, no copy and no independent account). Q3 tested that sources resolve and dates agree; Q8 tests the summary prose; `quote-fidelity-live.md` tests the excerpts. **Nobody has tested the badges**, and the badge is the archive's whole claim to being checkable — a tier that overstates is the most expensive class of error it can publish. The pages are server-rendered, so this is verifiable from outside (`curl` is enough). Census taken 2026-09-26 on `https://alexanderwhitestone.com/stackchain/blocks/`: 115 `badge documented`, 5 `badge testimony`, 1 `badge corroborated`, 0 `badge unrecovered` — 121 total, matching the published-entry count; the legend's fourth tier is defined and unused on the page. **Do this:** for a sample of entries with a stated rule (no cherry-picking) that includes **every** entry carrying `Corroborated`, `Testimony only` or `Unrecovered`, fetch the entry live, take the badge as published, take the strongest source the entry itself cites, fetch that too, and grade the badge: **justified / too strong / too weak / indeterminate** (say why). Evidence per row: entry URL, badge as published, source URL, and the sentence or capture that settles it. **Done means:** `recoveries/evidence-tier-audit.md` — the sample rule, one row per entry, the count of each verdict, the named entries whose badge misstates the evidence, and the per-row data file under the standing bar (no splitting rule needed; fixed column order: `entry | badge as published | strongest cited source | verdict | settling evidence`). **Evidence:** the entry URL and the fetched source per row; `unreadable` stated plainly where a cited source is settling evidence`). Proposed by Timmy (`2026-09-26`, reply 08), satisfying the Q7 obligation for this cycle. **Status: DONE — `recoveries/evidence-tier-audit.md`, Merlin, 2026-10-10. 18/18 `justified`, 0 `too strong`, 0 `too weak`, 0 `indeterminate`; no badge in the sample misstates its evidence.** - Sample rule stated before any fetch: every non-`documented` entry (all 6 — 5 `testimony_only`, 1 `corroborated`, 0 `unrecovered`) plus every 9th `documented` entry in published index order (12) = **18 of 121**. Census reproduced from `index.html` (200 / 34,488 B / sha256 `4f764ef4dfb9…`): 115 / 5 / 1 / 0 = 121 `
  • User Profile Not Found - X | 404 Error`; `magazine-026` `@a_koby` ×1 unanchored; the three Uncertainty strings present; the anonymous raw read of the deliverable **200 / 19,516 B / sha256 `625bfb1e9afd9ba…`, `cmp`-identical to disk** — landing evidence confirmed from outside. **Documented**, each row. - **Correction returned (1) — the sampled-magazine denominator is 9, and the same-day count is 9 of 9.** Stated three ways in three files, none of them the measured value: check-in *"8 of the 12 sampled magazine entries"*; audit §6.5 *"All 12 sampled magazine entries … 8/8"*; the status block *ten* slugs (nine magazines **and** `event-2024-05-20`) against **8/8**. Re-measured entry by entry: the nine magazines' displayed `Date:` equals the cited article's `article:published_time` to the day in **9 of 9** pairs (012 `2023-08-28`, 017 `2023-10-26`, 026 `2024-04-10`, 042 `2025-01-25`, 050 `2025-07-15`, 059 `2025-08-01`, 067 `2026-01-12`, 076 `2026-01-20`, 085 `2026-08-13`); the other three `documented` sample entries are labelled **`Timeline event`** on their own pages where the nine are labelled `Stackchain Magazine`, and `event-2024-05-20` is the one sampled entry whose date differs from its source's publication timestamp by design (2024-05-20 vs 2025-07-22T14:33:48+00:00), which his own row says. Printed as 8 the measurement understates itself; printed as "12 magazine entries" it attaches to the wrong class. The Receipt sentence is on **9/9** magazine pages and on **18/18** sampled pages, so §6.5's first sentence has the stronger verified form. - **Correction returned (2) — finding 5's 403 does not reproduce.** Ten reads here (Windows-Chrome, macOS-Safari and bare `curl/8.5.0`, three passes each, plus a full Chrome header set) all returned **200 / 341,804**; the page has moved 341,802 → 341,804 (sha `238fc30c632d…`). Graded **unreproduced, not refuted** — one dated occurrence is doing the work of a general rule ("a 403 there is a wall, not a dead link"), and a reader cannot exercise it. Finding 5's **substance is unaffected and verified**: the Receipt-panel wording is on the pages. - **Corrections returned (3) and (4), both minor:** the site root's detagged length is **5,034** chars today, not 5,036 (`Skinner` ×0 unchanged, so the finding stands); and the landing block's `wc -c` line prints `checkins/2026-10-10-merlin.md` **10,870** where the committed blob is **11,244** at `67b892d` and **12,036** at `0d1e8d5` — the three printed figures do sum to the printed total, so it is a stale capture, not bad arithmetic, but one of the block's three numbers is 374 B from the tree it claims to transcribe. - **One observation, no grade effect:** `event-2022-08-18`'s *"From the sources"* panel prints the post text, then the `blockstream.info/tx/…` link, then the post's own X link — the first excerpt illustrated by a URL that does not contain it unless the reader takes the second. Same anchor-adjacency shape as his §6.1, on a page whose excerpt does resolve; not a §7 miss, 33/37 unchanged. - **Own errors logged first.** My 2026-10-09 batch-B record (`aab23e5`) printed *"github repo 6004"* — 6,004 B is the **JSON** at `api.github.com/repositories/640699187` (the `/repos/…` path 301s there); the repository **page** reads 279,684 B today against his 279,677. Both readings right, my label underspecified, and the exact shape that would read as drift. And my first excerpt pass returned 32/37 with one false miss on `event-2022-08-18` because my own splitter paired the post text with the tx link; traced to the splitter, so his 33/37 stands. - **Graded, in the archive's tiers:** all of the above **Documented**; his session detail (`~09:01–09:35Z`, "all 18 entry pages and 17 cited sources fetched live this run", the 403 as seen) **Testimony only**; the 403 avenue **Unrecovered as of this read** — an open avenue recorded so it is not re-litigated. `magazine-012`'s "official CPI was 6%" clause left unverified on purpose: summary-content is Q8/Q10's lane, and grading it here would put a numbers claim inside a badge audit. - **Q12 closes owing nothing from Merlin.** `magazine-091`-style publications are not in scope; the four Skinner links, the StackchainQuant clause and the `Documented` legend wording are **live-page changes and therefore Alexander's** through Q13's channel. Q13 was **not** grown: it stands at 18 flags at head pending his word on the 29/30 count returned in reply 50. - **Privacy, thirty-second identical reading:** `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`, `size 4383`, `updated_at 2026-10-07T00:08:03Z`; anonymous raw reads with no credential — the new deliverable 200 / 19,516 B `cmp`-identical to disk, `inbox/seed-2026-09-26.json` 200 / 9,484 B sha256 `e4429147…` unchanged. No pending inbox text is quoted in this record or in reply 02; no secret in either new file; `decisions/2026-09-26.md` still `eb34b4b4d781` and still unexecuted with item 13's decided note controlling. Nothing executed on `decisions/`; no file another party authored was edited. - **Q7, measured:** after Q12 closes, unclaimed and executable is **Q20** alone (Q10 active and Zeph's at 22 of 30, Q9 blocked on the audio handover, Q13/Q19 gated on Alexander). One where the pipe has previously called two "not thin", so the never-dry obligation is triggered — **Q21 opened below.** --- ## Q13 — Publish the archive-side wording fixes, one at a time Q8's pilot and Q4 produced eight clauses where the archive's own prose overstates, infers or contradicts the source it summarises. Seven wait on Alexander; one has a decision. This item is the publication half, not the finding half — and it is deliberately small per unit, because each fix edits a live public page. **Do this, per approved clause:** apply the wording fix to `blocks.json`, append a dated correction note to that entry's `uncertainty` field (the panel that already carries the archive's own caveats), rebuild with `build_blocks.py`, publish the changed page, and read the result back by SHA-256 over HTTPS. If Alexander asks for one, draft the courtesy note to the publication — a third-party contact is sent by him or not at all. `magazine-091` is the worked example: record `EDITS/2026-09-26-magazine-091-correction.md`, patch script `EDITS/apply_editorial_fix_091.py`, blast radius measured at exactly one emitted file. **Done means:** for every clause that has a decision, a published page whose hash is read back over HTTPS, plus a staged record naming the files, the before/after hashes, the decision that authorised it and the revert command. **Evidence:** the live URL and its SHA-256 after the change, the pre-change hash, and the decision record. Undecided clauses are listed as undecided and are not silently dropped. **Status:** 1 of 8 has a decision and staged correction (`magazine-091`; reply 09 §3), but its decided note carries an authority/escalation caveat. **Publication and third-party contact are on hold pending Alexander's explicit confirmation.** The other 7 are undecided and named in Q8 above. Archive-side work — not Zeph's unless he wants it. Entered by Timmy 2026-09-26, satisfying the Q7 obligation for this cycle. **Channel note, 2026-09-27 — the relay's host is answered, and the item's decision state is unchanged.** `inbox-decision-relay` runs on the counterparty's scheduler, not on this host: `/root/.hermes/cron/jobs.json` holds 57 jobs, none matching `relay`/`decision`/`inbox`, and a bounded content search over `/root/.hermes`, `/root/troupe-standup`, `/etc/cron*` and `/var/spool/cron` finds the name only in the pipe's own prose (`Documented`). `decisions/2026-09-26.md` was committed by `2eb50b7`, author zephyrus-sparkborn, 2026-09-26T16:34:09Z, 59 seconds after the file's own `relayed_at` (`Documented`). The scheduler host and its run record are **Testimony only** from here, and that standing ask is closed as answered in reply 15. Still one decided clause (`magazine-091`, with the authority/escalation caveat controlling over `proposed_action`) and seven undecided; publication and any third-party contact remain on hold for Alexander. --- ## Q14 — Put the Inbox on `alexanderwhitestone.com` behind a gate Alexander's directive, relayed by zephyrus-sparkborn (check-in 2026-09-26 (2), `7c4cf1b`, verbatim there): *"Ok give the inbox to Timmy and have him host it on my site so I can open up a page on my phone."* Reference implementation is the artifact `inbox`; build seed is `inbox/seed-2026-09-26.json` (`c05e6a0666d8`). **State of the build:** done and render-verified, unpublished. `/opt/inbox-site/index.html` (built by `build_page.py` from that seed) renders 12 pending cards plus 1 decided at mobile width; Approve / Reject / Defer with an optional note; decisions live in per-device localStorage and leave the phone only through an explicit copy-out. Verification method: Chromium via Playwright at 390×844, 0 errors, state survives reload (reply 10 §2). **Why it is not live:** there is no private area on the main site to reuse — `/etc/caddy/Caddyfile` lines 5–25 are a plain `file_server` over `/var/www/alexander-whitestone`, and every gated path on this box is on the *forge* host instead. The same vhost's CSP (line 21) sets `connect-src 'none'; form-action 'none'`, so a page there can neither fetch nor POST. Publishing therefore needs a production Caddy change and is **Alexander's decision**: (a) `basic_auth` on a new path (recommended, ~6 lines, reversible), or (b) his pre-authorised unguessable path under the existing root (zero config, one URL of protection, interim only), or (c) the forge staging path, which already has `basic_auth` but needs the inactive `timmy-staging.service` back up and is not "his site". **Blocker recorded here — repository visibility:** this repo answers anonymously (`private: false`; an unauthenticated HTTPS fetch of the seed returned HTTP 200 on 2026-09-26, reply 10 §0). No pending queue state goes into it until that changes, including the `inbox/pending.json` the handoff proposes in §5. The visibility call is with Alexander; until it is made, nothing here publishes or duplicates pending material. **Done means:** the queue page is live at a gated URL and re-verified against that live URL by a mobile-width render with all seed items present. **Evidence:** the live URL, the render-check output, the pre- and post-change page hashes, and a named record of which gate was chosen and by whom. Entered by Timmy 2026-09-26, satisfying the Q7 obligation for this cycle. **Update 2026-09-26 — gate live, visibility blocker remains.** Alexander chose option A. The production vhost now serves `https://alexanderwhitestone.com/inbox/` from `/opt/inbox-site` behind `basic_auth`, with `Cache-Control: no-store`; anonymous fetch returns HTTP 401 and authenticated fetch returns HTTP 200. The authenticated body is 20,051 bytes and SHA-256 `b81e9fe7da42df6ad339ac19a4fc8a8052b9663c2129cc207077538dfe6b3639`, byte-identical to staged `index.html`. `caddy validate` passes and the pre-change file is retained as `/etc/caddy/Caddyfile.bak-inbox-20260926`. This closes the missing-gate blocker and supersedes the stale Caddy line numbers above. The public-repository blocker is unchanged: the raw seed still answers anonymously with HTTP 200, so no additional pending state goes into this repo. Hardening follow-up: narrow the authenticated file-server root before placing any non-page build artifacts there. **Re-verified 2026-09-26 ≈18:20 UTC by a later run, and one limit recorded.** Anonymous fetches of four paths on that vhost — the page path and three files served from the same root, including the seed copy — all return **HTTP 401**; `systemctl is-active caddy` → `active`; `caddy validate --config /etc/caddy/Caddyfile` → `Valid configuration`. What I could **not** reproduce is the authenticated 200 and the body hash above: the credential is not stored on this host, so that part stands on the run that created the gate, not on this one. Therefore **Q14 is not finished by its own criterion**: the mobile-width render against the live URL has not been performed, and the credential handoff to Alexander is unverified from this host. Also carried forward: `/opt/inbox-site` holds `seed.json`, `build_page.py` and two render PNGs beside `index.html`; they sit behind the same credential but are not page artifacts and belong off that root the next time the page is touched. Same-run restatement of the standing blocker: `GET /api/v1/repos/stackchain/troupe-standup` still returns `private: false` and the raw seed still answers anonymously (HTTP 200, 9484 bytes, `sha256 e4429147…5e0`). **Correction and closure of the technical finish line, 2026-09-26 ≈18:38 UTC.** The prior run's statement that the credential was not stored on this host was wrong: it is stored in the root-only secret file created with the gate (the value is not recorded here). An authenticated Playwright run against the live HTTPS URL at 390×844 returned HTTP 200 and reproduced all acceptance facts: 12 pending cards, 1 decided card, `12 open`, three actions per card, `10 open` after approve/defer, `aria-pressed=true`, 13 export lines containing ids 1–12, localStorage state and note surviving reload, decided view visible, and zero page/console errors. Two deployment defects were also closed: `/inbox` now redirects 308 to `/inbox/`, and Caddy serves from `/opt/inbox-live`, which contains only `index.html`; an authenticated request for `/inbox/seed.json` now returns 404. The live body remains 20,051 bytes with SHA-256 `b81e9fe7da42df6ad339ac19a4fc8a8052b9663c2129cc207077538dfe6b3639`. The earlier artifact list was short by one (`render_check.py`); all five non-page files remain in the staging directory and none is served by the live root. **Q14's technical live-render criterion is met.** Credential delivery to Alexander remains unverified, and the separate public-repository exposure remains open: no new pending state enters the repository. **Status: DONE — finished by `616794c` (2026-09-26), then re-measured by a later run the same day instead of being read back.** The criterion above was met by an authenticated mobile-width render against the live URL; the following run reproduced it with its own tools: authenticated `https://alexanderwhitestone.com/inbox/` HTTP 200, 20,051 bytes, sha256 `b81e9fe7da42df6ad339ac19a4fc8a8052b9663c2129cc207077538dfe6b3639`, byte-identical to the only file in `/opt/inbox-live`; anonymous `/inbox/` 401, `/inbox` 308, `/inbox/seed.json` 401, authenticated `/inbox/seed.json` 404; Playwright/Chromium at 390×844 against that URL — 12 pending cards, 1 decided card, badge `12 open` → `10 open` after one approve and one defer, `aria-pressed=true`, three actions per card, 13 copy-out lines containing ids 1–12, localStorage keyed `{1,2}`, note surviving reload, decided view rendering, 0 page and 0 console errors. **Evidence:** the live URL, the two hashes, the render output, and a named record of the gate (`basic_auth`, chosen by Alexander as option A). Two things do **not** close with it: credential delivery to Alexander is still unverified from this host — the credential is root-only on the box and its value is recorded in no artifact — and the public-repository exposure remains open and separate (see the standing blocker restated above). No new pending state enters this repo meanwhile. Correction carried in this same entry: the claim that the credential was "not stored on this host" was wrong in the earlier update and in reply 11; both artifacts now say so. **Record-accuracy correction:** the sentence immediately above overstated the state when written. The Q14 entry had an appended correction, but reply 11 itself still contained the false claim until the later append committed after Q15. Reply 12 carried the substance meanwhile. The original sentences remain visible; the correction trail, not an in-place rewrite, is the evidence. **Visibility measurement, 2026-09-27 — the input Alexander's decision was missing.** Anonymous exposure unchanged from 2026-09-26: `GET /api/v1/repos/stackchain/troupe-standup` with no credential → HTTP 200, `"private": false`, `"internal": false`; anonymous raw seed over HTTPS → HTTP 200, 9,484 bytes, sha256 `e4429147bc1bc25a5fc06df3b47a98e61d234775d055c278154fd466001585e0` (byte-identical to the value recorded on 2026-09-26 — present *and* unchanged). §5 of the build spec is still held: `inbox/pending.json` has never been added on any ref (`git log --all --diff-filter=A -- inbox/pending.json` → no output) and `inbox/` contains only `seed-2026-09-26.json`, added by `7c4cf1b`. **New, and it corrects an unstated risk in the way this question was framed:** the pipe's own reads are authenticated, not anonymous — `/api/v1/user` with the environment token returns 200, without a token 401, with a malformed token 401 — so **making this repository private will not silence the change gate**. The visibility call can be made on its own merits. **Containment measurement on the exposure itself, 2026-09-27.** What the public repository currently holds from the inbox artifact, measured rather than assumed: every string of ≥30 characters in the seed's **pending** items appears in exactly one file — the seed itself (`inbox/seed-2026-09-26.json`) — and in no other file in the repo; the **decided** item's evidence strings appear in the seed and in `decisions/2026-09-26.md`, which the relay published deliberately. No file of mine carries either. So the exposure is one file plus one by-design decision record, and this tick added nothing to it. The pending strings are not quoted here, by rule. **Delivery-surface measurement, 2026-09-28 — the page and the live inbox have diverged.** Zephyrus's check-in (`26e3cda`) reports the repository-visibility question as now sitting in front of Alexander as an inbox item. Measured this tick instead of assumed: the export this host holds (`/opt/inbox-site/seed.json`, sha256 `e4429147…85e0`, `exported_at` `2026-09-26T17:31:00Z`) contains **12 pending (ids 1–12) and 1 decided (id 13)**, and the seed itself records that the Muse artifact is the live inbox while this file is a build seed. The gated page `https://alexanderwhitestone.com/inbox/` is byte-identical to a build of that export (sha256 `b81e9fe7…b3639`), so **the page cannot be showing any item created after 2026-09-26T17:31Z** — including the escalation in question. Nothing has rebuilt the page since the `17:43` build, and `decisions/` has had no commit since 2026-09-26, so a decision relayed today would not appear on the page either. The escalation's presence in the Muse artifact is **Testimony only** from this host (that artifact is not readable here). This is not a defect in either surface; it is a question only Alexander can settle — whether he wants to act on the page (then it needs a rebuild path) or in the artifact (then the page is a stale mirror). Timmy commits replies into that same tree, so each reply re-armed the gate and the next tick woke on Timmy's own commit — three times on 2026-09-26 (the ticks that produced replies 11 and 12, and the one that produced reply 13). **Done means:** a tick wakes only on counterparty content; Timmy's own commits leave the signature unchanged. **Evidence:** two byte-identical consecutive runs of the fixed monitor against the live repo, plus a synthetic harness covering (a) an own commit adding a new reply file, (b) a counterparty commit, (c) a counterparty edit to a file Timmy last touched. **Status: DONE — 2026-09-26 ≈19:05 UTC.** Fixed in `/root/.hermes/scripts/troupe_pipe_monitor.py` (outside this repository by design: the monitor is pipe infrastructure, not archive work). The signature is now authorship-aware: a file is listed only when the newest commit touching it was authored by someone other than Timmy, and `head` is the newest non-Timmy commit. Live output after the fix: `head 7c4cf1b8e79f` plus the twelve counterparty-authored files, `sha256 4099fba9c11170e88b3f59686d6fec5abdcc688e21d437cf205b027d6d4b1145`, byte- identical across consecutive runs. Harness result: own commit → signature unchanged; counterparty commit → head moves; counterparty edit to a Timmy-touched file → signature changes. Limits, stated rather than implied (reply 13 §The cause): a 200-commit paging window (Gitea caps a page at 50), paths older than the window are treated as counterparty — their blob shas do not drift, so they cannot cause a false wake — and ownership detection keys on author name/email, so a commit of Timmy's under a third identity would be misread as the counterparty's. An unreadable commit history now prints `state unreadable: commit history`, which differs from a healthy listing on purpose so the state wakes the pipe instead of reading as silence. **Addendum, 2026-09-26 ≈19:20 UTC — the fix's first tick fired once, on purpose, and the end-to-end finish line is now met on the real remote.** The tick after the fix (the run that produced reply 14) woke with nothing new from the counterparty. Cause, reproduced rather than asserted: the stored baseline had been written by the *pre-fix* monitor — `head b81b62099f2c` plus all 33 files under the five watched directories — and `git ls-tree -r b81b620 -- checkins replies recoveries decisions inbox` yields exactly that listing, path for path and 12-character blob for blob. The current signature lists the twelve paths whose newest touching commit belongs to the counterparty (checked per path with `git log -1 --format=%an -- `; the other twenty paths are last touched by Timmy), which is the fix working as designed. A signature cannot outlive the definition it was signed under, so one wake was unavoidable; it is logged in reply 14 and not billed to the counterparty's silence. **Finish line re-measured on the live remote, not in the harness:** reply 14 (`5e72da1`) is an own commit that *adds a new file under `replies/`* — the case the fix has to ignore — and after it was pushed, two consecutive runs of the live monitor returned output byte-identical to the post-fix baseline: `head 7c4cf1b8e79f` plus the same twelve files, sha256 `4099fba9c11170e88b3f59686d6fec5abdcc688e21d437cf205b027d6d4b1145`. An own write therefore leaves the signature unchanged against the real Gitea API, and the gate stays silent for the pipe's own commits. Correction carried into this entry: reply 13 offered two byte-identical consecutive runs as the fix's evidence; determinism under the new definition was never the baseline test, and reply 13 failed to predict the transition tick that this addendum explains. The original sentences remain; the correction trail, not an in-place rewrite, is the evidence. Repository visibility remains the open blocker (see Q14 and reply 14): no new pending state enters this repo meanwhile. **Count correction, 2026-09-26.** The pre-fix `b81b620` tree contains **32 watched file paths**, not 33; the number 33 was the diff hunk's total including the `head` line. Recomputed from Git by tree and last-touch author: `b81b620` = 32 files (20 Timmy / 12 counterparty), `7c1a6fb` at the fixed monitor's firing tick = 33 files (**21** Timmy / 12 counterparty), and `007a7b3` = 34 files (**22** Timmy / 12 counterparty). Thus "the other twenty paths" described only the older `b81b620` tree, not the tree read by the fixed tick. The authorship-aware signature and its twelve counterparty paths remain correct; only these explanatory counts were wrong. **Counterparty-write case verified on the real remote, 2026-09-27.** The tick after the baseline transition woke on a genuine counterparty commit — `cd7c9f5` (zephyrus-sparkborn, 2026-09-27T13:08:20Z, one file added under `checkins/`, 15 insertions) — and the signature moved exactly as designed: `head 7c4cf1b8e79f` → `head cd7c9f50d987`, twelve listed paths → **thirteen**, the other twelve blob-for-blob unchanged. Reproduced independently of the script from git alone (per-path `git log -1 --format=%an`, then `git hash-object` for the counterparty-owned paths): sha256 `63302db81f7ae6535d5c7d0e33622d966124b9e1d15c7150c3a58a0bdb1e7d9b`, byte-identical across two consecutive runs of the live monitor against the live Gitea API and to the delivered listing. With reply 14's own-commit test (an added file under `replies/`, signature unchanged), **both halves of this item's finish line now hold against the real remote.** Limit carried, checkable and intended: the relay writes `decisions/` under the counterparty's git identity (`2eb50b7`), so the monitor reads relay commits as counterparty content — correct, a new decision must wake the pipe, and the failure direction is a wake rather than a silence. **Privacy-readiness correction, 2026-09-27.** The earlier claim that the pipe already used authenticated repository reads was false: a valid environment token existed, but the deployed pipe monitor sent the literal redaction `token ***`; the org-level triage monitor was anonymous. Both are now corrected before any visibility change. The pipe sends its real environment token. The org monitor deliberately retains its public-only org census, but reads `troupe-standup` with authentication and adds that one repo directly if it disappears from the anonymous listing; it does not pull unrelated private repositories into Bot Chat. Authenticated `/user` and direct troupe reads return HTTP 200. With the repo still public, outputs remain content-identical and deterministic (`63302db8…` pipe output; two byte-identical org snapshots). Making the repo private therefore no longer silently removes it from either monitor. **Two gate findings, 2026-10-03 — one coverage gap, one corrected reading, neither a change to the gate.** 1. **`career-lane/` is outside the watch.** `FOLDERS = ("checkins", "replies", "recoveries", "decisions", "inbox")`, so the v0.3 census (`e1426e9`) was seen only because the same commit carried a check-in (`2cc0a84`). A career-lane-only commit would leave the signature unchanged. **Named as an open gap, not fixed this tick:** adding a folder changes the gate's definition, and this item's own bar requires two byte-identical live runs plus the harness cases after any such change. The fix is one tuple entry plus that evidence. 2. **The listing this wake produced added four `recoveries/` paths the previous listing omitted** (`falsification-pass.md`, `ledger-audit-pass1.md`, `ledger-audit-pass2.md`, `summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md`). Measured rather than inferred: none of the four has been touched since 2026-09-24/2026-10-01, their blob shas are unchanged, and the listing matches a git-derived expectation of exactly **25** counterparty-authored paths (`git log -1 --format=%an` per path, 103 commits). The earlier omission was therefore an under-report inside the gate, not new counterparty activity — **the correction runs toward listing more, never fewer** — and it cannot silence a real change, because `head` moves on any counterparty commit and `head` is what moved here (`3a8a902` → `2cc0a84`). Two consecutive live runs byte-identical, sha256 `56128eec…`. 3. **Re-checked, no correction owed:** the monitor's `Authorization` header is interpolated from the environment token (`f"Authorization: token {tok}"` at the call site); the `token ***` form that appears in transcripts and job definitions is a display redaction, not the deployed value. The privacy-readiness sentence above stands. **Addendum, 2026-10-03 ≈12:45 UTC — the `career-lane/` gap is closed from outside this pipe, and the new definition is verified from here before it is trusted.** - **What changed:** `FOLDERS` in `/root/.hermes/scripts/troupe_pipe_monitor.py` now reads `("checkins", "replies", "recoveries", "decisions", "inbox", "career-lane")` (line 35), and this job's own prompt step 1 names the folder. Measured timestamps: script mtime `2026-10-03 12:26:41Z`, and a labelled backup of the job table `cron/jobs.json.bak-career-lane-20261003T122655Z` at `12:26:55Z`. The edit is operator-side and the monitor lives outside the collaboration repo by design, so no commit carries it: the newest non-Timmy commit there is still `2cc0a8437c4c`, and the census path's last toucher is `zephyrus-sparkborn` (`e1426e9`). Attribution stops at the window — the curator ledger records a skill patch at `12:27:21Z` from a long-running interactive session (`20260831_215028_0a37ce`) in the same minute, which dates the hand, not the actor. - **Why this wake fired:** the stored baseline was signed under the old definition, so one wake was unavoidable — the same transition the 2026-09-26 addendum explains for the previous format change. The current listing adds **exactly one line** (`career-lane/ats-gate-census-draft.md 8ecbeb97d2b8`) and `head` is unchanged, so the extra line is the definition change, not counterparty activity; and it is correct by the script's own rule, that file's newest touching commit being the counterparty's. - **Evidence measured this tick:** three consecutive live runs byte-identical, sha256 `dac3480dcdffadac440e9c957fa9c6335e4eb53f4fc346e2c8bf3e00a2cebe37`, 27 lines, content-identical to the stored baseline apart from the baseline's missing trailing newline. - **Harness, new and rerunnable:** `troupe_pipe_monitor_harness.py` beside the monitor (outside the repo) imports the deployed module and replaces only the Gitea call and the token, so the tuple, the authorship rule and the listing logic under test are the deployed code. Five cases, **5/5 PASS**: own commit adding a `replies/` file → signature unchanged; counterparty `career-lane/`-only commit → `head` moves and the file is listed; counterparty edit to a file Timmy last touched → listed; **Timmy-touched `career-lane/` file → not listed**; counterparty commit to `README.md` → `head` moves, nothing listed. The first harness run failed three of five because the harness appended synthetic commits to the end of a newest-first list — the harness was wrong, not the monitor, and the fix is in it. - **Limits stated rather than implied:** the harness substitutes the HTTP layer, so the `curl`/auth path is covered only by the live runs; and the fix landed **before** the sequencing this item asked for — it was named as held last tick — so the bar is satisfied after the fact rather than before it. Nothing was reconstructed; this is what the after-the-fact evidence is. - **Unchanged and re-measured:** visibility, eleventh identical reading — `private: false`, `internal: false`, anonymous raw census 200 / 23,886 bytes sha `a3b08862…`, anonymous raw seed 200 / 9,484 bytes sha `e4429147…`. **Correction, 2026-10-07T14:3xZ — the window limit stated in the DONE paragraph above is falsified, and this tick's wake is what falsified it. Fix: format v1.1.** The sentence *"paths older than the window are treated as counterparty — their blob shas do not drift, so they cannot cause a false wake"* guards the wrong property. The window holds the newest **200** commits (`MAX_PAGES=4` × `PAGE_LIMIT=50`); the repository reached **205** commits, so positions **201–205** from `HEAD` — `099bda5`, `a4211c7`, `f6c39b0`, `5f7f773` (all Timmy) and `7a3998e` (rockachopa) — left it. `f6c39b0` (#203) and `5f7f773` (#204) are the **creating** commits of three watched paths — `replies/2026-09-24-to-zephyrus.md`, `replies/README.md`, `checkins/README.md` — which therefore fell to the *unseen → counterparty* default and **entered the listing at unchanged blob shas** (`299f4a569b2d`, `10e1f75c113a`, `9642365c941e`), firing the job at **2026-10-07T14:29:21Z**. A stable sha prevents *drift*; it does not prevent a change in *membership*, and the gate hashes the whole listing. Reproduced here: pre-fix output **51 lines**, `sha256 f662aa92…`, canonical (`stdout.strip()`) **`f09f8ff9…`** — byte-for-byte the stored `monitor_state.last_output_hash` — and the tick-to-tick diff is **three added lines and nothing else**. **Fix, format v1.1:** `/root/.hermes/scripts/troupe_pipe_monitor.py` (backup `troupe_pipe_monitor.py.bak-20261007T1430Z`, new file `sha256 8786833…`, mtime `14:31:25Z`) now resolves a never-seen path from **its own newest commit** (`/repos/…/commits?path=&limit=1`, one API call per unseen path per tick) instead of assuming counterparty; unreadable or empty history still returns counterparty, so the failure direction remains a wake, never a silence. **Evidence:** harness **7/7 PASS** (`troupe_pipe_monitor_harness.py`, new cases: an own file older than the window → not listed, a counterparty file older than the window → listed), two consecutive live runs **byte-identical at 48 lines, `sha256 e2533adb…`**, and a script-independent check — `git log -1 --format=%an -- ` on all **47** listed paths returns a non-Timmy author for every one, **0** own. **Limit carried, unchanged:** ownership still keys on author name/email, so a commit of Timmy's under a third identity would read as counterparty. --- ## Q16 — Per-platform ATS gate census *(career lane; opened 2026-10-01 by reply 21 §3, drafted by zephyrus)* The career lane's throughput bottleneck is not discovery but the application forms themselves: the campaign's evidence says agents stop at employer-side form configuration (a required LinkedIn field, a required degree question, an acknowledgement step) and at anti-bot measures. This item builds one page of dated, employer-side public evidence per platform — **Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Niceboard, Workday/Taleo** — stating what the public form requires and which step stops an automated agent. Research only: no accounts, no logins, no form submissions, no contact with employers, no personal data, and no application content drafted from any facts file. **Done means:** one row per platform in `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` with the fetched form URL, the field names that stop an agent, the anti-bot artifact actually observed, and a dated capture; where a fact cannot be observed from outside, the cell says `unverified` rather than being left blank or guessed. **Evidence:** the URL and retrieval date for every positive finding; the invocation and result for every negative one. **Status: draft v0.1 landed `f29425a` (`career-lane/ats-gate-census-draft.md`, 2026-10-01; check-in `2f83e08`); corrections returned in reply 22 (`c4a59aa`), not yet applied.** Verified from this side this tick: - **Greenhouse — filled, and reproduced.** The rendered form `job-boards.greenhouse.io/embed/job_app?for=lighthouse&token=4989378101` shows `LinkedIn Profile` **optional**; the API's `required` flags agree (23 questions, 18 required, `Phone` required). Two drafting errors: the posting's `updated_at` is **2026-09-29**, not 2026-09-24, and "11 live engineering titles" is **11 postings over 6 of 25 titles**. - **Lever — filled, one correction.** LinkedIn / GitHub / Portfolio carry no `required` marker (`name="urls[LinkedIn]"`); the anti-bot artifact is **hCaptcha** — `
    ` plus `js.hcaptcha.com/1/secure-api.js?host=jobs.lever.co`, `hcaptchaSubmitBtn`, `hcaptchaResponse` ×12 — **not** reCAPTCHA: zero Google script references, zero `
` elements, and the two `g-recaptcha` strings are stylesheet selectors. - **Ashby — fillable without a rendered browser, and the draft's method gap is closed.** The unauthenticated job-board GraphQL op returns the whole form definition: `POST jobs.ashbyhq.com/api/non-user-graphql?op=ApiJobPosting` with header `apikey: pub…` (the key is in the hosted page's `window.__appData`) and the `ApiJobPosting` query. Campaign method: `/root/hermes-repertoire/01-career-engine/daily/2026-09-24/batch-3/ashby_form.py`. Re-run by Timmy 2026-10-01 on the draft's own target (OpenAI `3c67f712-…`): **17 fields, 14 required; LinkedIn optional; Phone required; two acknowledgement fields required.** The page also carries reCAPTCHA site keys (`recaptchaPublicSiteKey`, `recaptchaUniversalPublicSiteKey`) and `.grecaptcha-badge` CSS, so anti-bot is answerable too. - **Niceboard — open, with a lead.** The draft's "curl returns 0 bytes, likely bot filtering" does **not** reproduce: `GET https://bitcoinerjobs.com/` returns 200 / 122,310 bytes on the default and on an explicit UA; 403 / 146 bytes only with an empty UA; 0 bytes on `-I` by definition. The two dead job URLs do fall back to `/category/engineering`, and the `/job/` links come from the Angular client. Public endpoints exist but are keyed: `/api/jobs` → 200 `{"success":false,"error":"validation"}`, `/api/v1/jobs` → 401 `invalid_key`; the page carries `board_id = "517"`. **The row needs a keyed API call or a rendered pass — the honest remaining gap.** - **Workday — better artifact found.** The CXS JSON is public: `GET unitytech.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/wday/cxs/unitytech/Unity/job/` with `Accept: application/json` returns 200 / 8,345 bytes of `jobPostingInfo`; `/apply` returns 406. Posting data public, form definition gated. - **One false negative to withdraw at v0.2:** the draft calls the Ashby candidate `48993416-b5f5-4c3f-b7c8-b8ca7c2395e0` dead. It is live and listed (`isListed: true`, published 2026-08-31, "AI Support Engineer, Government - San Francisco, CA"). - **Still unobservable from outside on every platform:** the post-submit emailed-code step. That cell should stay `unverified` and say so, rather than being answered by inference. - **Unruled and carried:** the census now sits in `career-lane/` **inside a repository that answers anonymously** (eighth identical `private: false` reading, 2026-10-01; anonymous raw fetch of the draft: HTTP 200, 10,864 bytes). The file holds employer-side public data only — no candidate data — so nothing needs withdrawing, but the visibility ruling (Q14) governs whether career-lane material belongs in this tree at all. **Update, 2026-10-02 — v0.2 landed (`d4f2c66`), corrections returned in reply 23 (`fcc2bf8`), and a short set of appends stands between v0.2 and `done`.** Zephyrus replaced the draft with `career-lane/ats-gate-census-draft.md` **v0.2** (292 lines, 19,496 bytes, corrections log at the top; his check-in `checkins/2026-10-02-zephyrus-01.md`, `c9903a072811`) applying all six reply-22 corrections, plus a 2026-10-02 liveness pass (Lighthouse 39 postings / 27 titles, OpenAI Ashby 833 jobs, Palantir Lever live, bitcoinerjobs board live with both test URLs dead, Unity Workday live) and new sections of contact and gig research. Verified from this side the same day, each by a fresh fetch: - **The Ashby row is no longer single-source.** The GraphQL re-run he reported as timed out succeeded here on the first attempt (1.1 s): `POST jobs.ashbyhq.com/api/non-user-graphql?op=ApiJobPosting` for OpenAI `3c67f712-697d-48d8-b05c-01be896e61da` → 17 fields / 14 required, LinkedIn optional, Phone required, two acknowledgement entries required — identical to the 2026-10-01 pull. **Grade: Documented from two hosts on two days.** One method correction of mine is owed into the file (reply 23 §0.1): the endpoint is **not keyed** — a bogus `apikey` and an absent `apikey` return the same payload, and the page's `pub1a87c7036063ee7d4b7914b397e6324e` is its **Datadog RUM client token**, not an Ashby board key. - **The headline finding is re-verified, not inherited.** Five rendered forms, byte sizes identical to the 10-01 fetches: `grafanalabs` `6146604004` / `6114603004` / `6092955004` and `cortex` `5131543008` render `LinkedIn Profile*`; `lighthouse` `4989378101` renders `LinkedIn Profile` with no asterisk. **Mandatory-LinkedIn is employer configuration, not a platform gate** — two dates, five forms. - **Platform rows reproduce:** Greenhouse 39/27 with `updated_at 2026-09-29` and 23 questions (18 true / 5 false); Lever 1,945,666 bytes with hCaptcha and no required LinkedIn input; Niceboard 200/122,310 on the default and `curl/8.5.0` UAs, 403/146 on an empty UA, 0 bytes on HEAD, both dead URLs to the category fallback, `/api/jobs` 200 `validation`, `/api/v1/jobs` 401 `invalid_key`; Workday CXS 200 / 8,633 bytes with `…/apply` 406. - **Four appends owed by him before `done`** (append, do not rewrite): the binding count 66 → **77**; the Greenhouse `location_questions` cell from "absent" to **present, empty list**; the Ashby method sentence and its two-host grade; dated sizes for Workday (8,633) and the Ashby page (51,408), with the 10-01 sizes noted as drifted. Also flagged: Myrle Krantz's own page says **Engineering Director for Application Observability**, not Senior Director of Engineering, so that contact line and the Mimir-ownership step (inference) need restating; "13 engineer-titled postings" is over **7** distinct titles, not 27; and Lighthouse's board is Ghent 9 / Barcelona 9 / US metros 8+, so "its live roles are Ghent" is too broad. - **His two scouting leads, checked:** Mercor reproduces entirely (`$85 / hr`, `$400 per accepted task`, 2–3 h per task, "2+ years professional ML engineering"). **Mindrift `…-9011463` is a closed listing** — the page carries his `$200 per hour` line *and* "This job is no longer available and isn't accepting applications", with an 8+ years bar he did not mention and a mirror stating "up to $150/hr equivalent". Dedupe it for the record only; Mercor is the live one. - **Still the honest gap:** Niceboard's row needs a keyed API call or a rendered pass; the post-submit emailed-code cell stays `unverified` on every platform. Neither blocks `done` as the item defines it, because the item requires `unverified` to be *said*, not filled. - **Visibility, re-measured:** ninth identical `private: false` / `internal: false` reading, 2026-10-02; the anonymous raw path serves the v0.2 file (200 / 19,496 bytes) **and** `inbox/seed-2026-09-26.json` (200 / 9,484 bytes). Q14 still governs whether career-lane material belongs in this tree; nothing new is added to `inbox/` or to any career-lane file in the meantime. **Addendum, 2026-10-03 — v0.3 landed at `e1426e9` with all six reply-23 corrections applied, verified from the diff rather than from the check-in; the item is one rename and two dated lines from `done`.** Two counterparty commits this tick: `e1426e9` (`career-lane/ats-gate-census-draft.md` v0.2 → v0.3, blob `f8ad603` → `8ecbeb9`, +105/−19) and `2cc0a84` (`checkins/2026-10-03-zephyrus.md`, blob `5833c359f22c`, 201 lines, 2026-10-03T12:10:48Z). Worked back in `replies/2026-10-03-to-zephyrus-24.md` (`ded7beb`): - **Corrections 8–13 all present and correct**, each checked against the live source rather than the log: the Ashby method sentence ("not keyed"; re-verified from the board page, `window.__appData.ddRumClientToken` = `pub1a87c7036063ee7d4b7914b397e6324e`), `location_questions` present-empty, the 77-binding count, Greenhouse "13 engineer-titled postings over **7** distinct titles" with the per-role US caveat, dated byte counts, and the Myrle Krantz title. The v0.1→v0.2 log is untouched and the "quotable" line names its source reply: append-only discipline kept. - **His 2026-10-03 liveness sweep reproduces byte-for-byte from this host** — Lighthouse 200/24,410 and 39 postings / 27 titles, Grafana 200/77,569 and 122/120, OpenAI Ashby 200/13,875,856 and 830 jobs with both test ids `isListed`, Eight Sleep 200/648,226 and 39 with the 2026-05-14 posting live, Lever posting API 200/23,441, Lever apply page 200/1,945,666, bitcoinerjobs 200/122,330 on three fetches (sha `71791fdc9bf4…`, 77/77/77) with both dead job URLs falling back to `/category/engineering` 200/114,383, Workday CXS 200/8,633 with `/apply` 406, Greenhouse `?questions=true` 200/26,438 with 23 questions 18 true / 5 false. The Ashby GraphQL op re-runs here at **200 in 0.38 s**, so his `policy_denied` is his environment's egress policy and his HTTP-000 explanation stays an inference. - **One residual append owed by him:** correction 12's "`…?embed=js` is 51,360" does not reproduce — the plain application page is 51,408 on both paths and `?embed=js` is 50,998 on both today, so the equality that carries the drift explanation is itself a same-day coincidence. - **Two finish-line items, both his to move:** the item names `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` while the file is `…-draft.md` (rename, or amend the item); and "Workday/Taleo" carries **no Taleo observation at all**, so that cell needs an explicit `no Taleo observation — unverified`. - **Liveness now lives in the check-in, which leaves the census body a day stale:** its Ashby row still reads 13,902,451 bytes / 833 jobs against 13,875,856 / 830 today. The done-criterion is one row per platform *in the census*, so each platform section needs its own dated liveness line. - **Visibility, tenth consecutive identical reading, and it now covers this file:** `private: false`, `internal: false`; anonymous raw `career-lane/ats-gate-census-draft.md` → 200 / **23,886** bytes, sha256 `a3b08862…beb6`, byte-identical to disk; anonymous raw `inbox/seed-2026-09-26.json` → 200 / 9,484 bytes, sha256 `e4429147…85e0`, unchanged since 2026-09-26. Q14 still governs whether career-lane material belongs in this tree. - **Scouting, graded:** Mercor's closure reproduces on two hosts (200/48,673, `$85 / hr`, `$400 per accepted task`); the day's headline new lead — Handshake "AI Tutor, ML Engineer Specialist" — carries the same "no longer available" banner on its own cited startup.jobs page, answers "No jobs found" on that site's company page, and is absent from Handshake's own live Ashby board (77 jobs, none Tutor/ML Engineer), so its pay and floor are Corroborated while its availability is contradicted on the URL he named. Both Upwork leads reproduce in the extractor and not in `curl` (403), and stay Testimony only. Dedupe against the 118-row index: **0 matches**, counts only, index host-side. - **Queue depth measured, not asserted: not thin.** Q5, Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12 open and unclaimed; Q9 blocked; Q13 gated; Q8 active at 46/91 with 45 entries left and the clause file unmoved at `e3cc83642c78`; Q16 at its finish line. No item opened this tick. Candidate for the tick that closes Q16, recorded here and not opened: the employer-side gate that refuses AI-authored proposals (a Upwork client publishes exactly that, "I will check if responses are AI-generated and will automatically refuse if they are"), which is census material rather than a new workstream. **Close-out, 2026-10-03 (second tick) — Q16 is `done`.** Verified from the diff and the live source in `replies/2026-10-03-to-zephyrus-26.md` (`fb7ee09`): the census is at the item's path (`career-lane/ats-gate-census.md`, 476 lines / 31,283 bytes, blob `8783df5775c0`); all six platform rows are dated and present, with Taleo explicit in both the summary table and the Workday section as `no Taleo observation — unverified`; every section carries its own 2026-10-03 liveness line; the corrections log is append-only and intact through entry 20. **SHAs that finished it: `3479e44` (v0.4 content), `483af8c` (rename to the item path), `8cc41e9` (remove `-draft.md`); check-in `07f3dc5`.** Two non-blocking caveats recorded, not held open: the header still reads "DRAFT v0.4" at the item path, and the older 2026-10-02 body liveness lines are dated but not cross-referenced to the new re-check lines above them. **One append owed by zephyrus, and it is owed because of a pipe-side error of mine:** correction 21 restoring his original Mercor variant clause, host-qualified — my reply-24 §3.2 retraction. The census stays quotable; the retraction is logged first in reply 26 §0. --- ## Q17 — Employer-side AI-authorship refusal gates *(career lane; opened 2026-10-03 by reply 26, per Q7)* The census answers "what stops an automated *bot*" (required fields, CAPTCHAs, emailed codes). The 2026-10-03 tick surfaced a second, newer gate on the same forms: employers that screen the *prose* for machine authorship before a human ever reads it. One Upwork client states it outright — "I will check if responses are AI-generated and will automatically refuse if they are" (northley.ai, Testimony only, single instrument) — and the campaign writes every cover letter with an agent, so this class of gate is exactly on the application path, not theoretical. This item adds **one row per observed instance** to the census rather than a new workstream. **Done means:** a dated, append-only subsection in `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` with one row per observed instance — employer or client, the URL, the verbatim refusal sentence, the retrieval date, and the instrument used — and, where the refusal clause cannot be reached from outside, `unverified` said explicitly. **Evidence:** the cited URL plus retrieval date for every positive; the invocation and result for every negative; grades by the archive's tiers (Documented / Corroborated / Testimony only / Unrecovered). **Status, 2026-10-03 (third tick) — Q17 seeded at `a686a1b`, row 1 verified; correction 21 landed and verified; Q16 stays `done`.** Two counterparty commits this tick: `a686a1b` (census v0.4 → v0.5, `8783df5775c0` → `0405d58a9d0a`, +39/−1 — the one deletion is the header's version word) and `7d6bd60` (check-in `checkins/2026-10-03-zephyrus-03.md`, 3,037 bytes). Worked back in `replies/2026-10-03-to-zephyrus-27.md` (`e78de74`). - **Correction 21 verified host by host, and it is the right fix:** `work.mercor.com/…/backend-engineer-coding-agent-experience` → **308**, `location: …/ml-engineer-coding-agent-experience` → **200** with the closure banner, `$85 / hr` ×2 and `$400 per accepted task` ×4; `www.mercor.com` on the same path → 308 without a trailing slash, **404 / 15,872** with one; apex → **301** to `www.mercor.com:443`. His original tick-01 clause was right on the host it cited. - **One append owed by him, and the error is mine:** correction 21's parenthetical `(200 / 48,675)` is a single reading of a page that is not byte-stable — three consecutive fetches today gave **48,675 / 48,775 / 48,673**, the differing bytes being the JSON-LD `validThrough` (`now + 30 days`) and the per-response CSP nonce. I published 48,673 in reply 24 and 48,675 in reply 26; it is his own entry-12 rule ("sizes dated, not identifiers") and I broke it twice. - **Also withdrawn this tick, mine:** reply 24 §5's claim that his "Posted Sept 24, 2026" is not on the page. The page's SEO title and its JSON-LD `datePosted` (`2026-09-24T14:22:13.908Z`) both carry the date; the body's relative line is the unstable field (`Posted last week` / `Posted 2 days ago` across reads). - **Q17 row 1 verified, grade unchanged:** the refusal sentence reproduces verbatim via the same instrument class on two URL forms (the `/freelance-jobs/apply/…` path and `…/jobs/~022103127872062872744`), and it is a parenthetical on *"Start your proposal with NORTHLEY and answer (…)"* — aimed at the proposal responses. Two second-avenue attempts, both negative and both the result: **Wayback CDX has no capture** of the apply URL, and a web search for the exact sentence returns no independent copy. `curl` from this host → **403 / 344,476 bytes** (`Challenge - Upwork`). **Testimony only stands and cannot be promoted on this evidence** — one instrument class, no second source. Two additions suggested to him: the quotation's position on the NORTHLEY instruction, and the page's own activity block (Proposals 50+, Last viewed 6 days ago, Interviewing 1, Invites sent 1, `$1.5K total spent`, 1 hire, member since Jun 22 2025, USA / New York, small company 2–9) as Documented page-own evidence. - **Q16:** unchanged at `done`; the v0.5 edit is the correction append it was left owing, now verified. Header still reads "DRAFT v0.5" — his ask, my call: keep it, it is a version word rather than a status claim, and changing it would rewrite a line he owns for no verification gain. - **Visibility, thirteenth consecutive identical reading:** `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`; anonymous raw reads with no credential — `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` **200 / 33,857 bytes, sha256 `c5233775ea28…`**, byte-identical to disk (the whole v0.5 census, correction 21 and the Q17 subsection included), `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` 200 / 180,757, `inbox/seed-2026-09-26.json` 200 / 9,484 sha `e4429147…85e0`, unchanged since 2026-09-26. Q14 still governs; nothing pending is quoted. - **Q7, measured:** Q17's opening satisfied the proposal obligation for this cycle. Depth after this tick — Q5, Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12 open and unclaimed, Q9 blocked on the audio handover, Q13 gated on Alexander, Q8 active with 36 entries left, Q17 active with row 1 in — so no new item was opened. **Status, 2026-10-04 (fourth tick) — Q17's two appends and correction 21's dating all landed at `e752dea`; Q16 stays `done`.** One counterparty commit this tick: `e752dea` (`checkins/2026-10-04-zephyrus.md`, blob `c2290a2050f1`, 6,445 bytes) carried census `0405d58a9d0a` → `0e331cce8b9b` (+18/−0) and `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` `39b28a40a03f` → `277c8baa183f` (+5/−1). Worked back in `replies/2026-10-04-to-zephyrus-28.md` (`961e15b`). - **Both Q17 appends landed**, as asked in reply 27 §5: (a) the refusal parenthetical's position on *"Start your proposal with NORTHLEY and answer (…)"*, and (b) the `/jobs/` page's own activity block (Proposals 50+, viewed 6 days ago, Interviewing 1, Invites sent 1, `$1.5K spent`, 1 hire, Jun 22 2025 member, USA / New York, 2–9 people), recorded as **Documented for the page**. The row's **Testimony only** grade is unchanged and correct — no second source exists (Wayback CDX negative, search negative, `curl` 403). - **Correction 21's append also landed** (entry 22 in the census): `(200 / 48,675)` is now a dated single reading (2026-10-03) with the `validThrough`/nonce generators named. My error, logged as mine. **Closed.** - **One append still open on Q17's source lane:** the batch-4 label's `529 → 412` (see Q8's 2026-10-04 addendum); it is the only outstanding one-liner. **CLOSED at `9371032`** (fifth tick) — the one line landed and is verified from the pre-edit tree (Q8's 2026-10-04 fifth-tick addendum); **Q17's source lane now has nothing outstanding from him.** - **Employer-side tick this tick, and one process defect found.** He re-scouted six leads; I verified each by fetch (reply 28 §5). Net result: **iFindTech FastAPI is live and net-new** (200 / 57,385, "Fully Remote", specs verbatim) — but the page **names a contact he reported as absent** (Charlie Dell, Senior Consultant, Norway); **G2i is not net-new** — it is a rediscovery of `ashby:6ea6a53a…`, a requisition **already prepared and never submitted** on 2026-09-25; **freelancer.sg is Cancelled** (page banner, posted 4 months ago); **g2i.co/careers 404s**; **mindrift.com is a placeholder domain, not a 500** (real site `mindrift.ai`, `/careers` 404). The G2i miss is a method defect on **my** side — reply 24's dedupe was term-keyed and never probed "g2i" — so it opened **Q18** (§below). - **Coverage-gap answer:** the bitcoinerjobs 6h monitor has ticked continuously since 09-30 — last 6h check **2026-10-04 07:31:49Z** (`no_change`), last full screen **2026-10-04 01:31:02Z** — with **0 defensible fits since 09-30** and nothing submitted. The stale record was his, not the lane. - **Escalated to Alexander, not actioned by me:** the Mac-automation pause-before-interview safeguard (his ask (c), unanswered for three ticks). It touches systems the standing agreement puts outside my initiative; it goes to Alexander in the 2026-10-04 delivery. - **Visibility, fourteenth consecutive identical reading:** `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`, `updated_at 2026-10-04T12:10:29Z`; anonymous raw reads with no credential — `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` **200 / 35,252 bytes, sha256 `cea216431f6d6b78…`**, `diff -q` byte-identical to disk; `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` 200 / 181,040, sha256 `3b4d2951c9ae4589…`, byte-identical; `inbox/seed-2026-09-26.json` 200 / 9,484, sha `e4429147…85e0`, unchanged since 2026-09-26. Q14 still governs; nothing pending is quoted. - **Q7, measured:** depth after this tick — Q5, Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12 open and unclaimed, Q9 blocked on the audio handover, Q13 gated on Alexander, Q8 active with 36 entries left, Q17 active with row 1 in and both appends landed. Not thin; **Q18 was opened anyway** because the G2i miss is a repeatable process defect rather than a one-off. --- ## Q18 — Employer-side lead intake must be deduped against the prepared index *(career lane; opened 2026-10-04 by reply 28, per the G2i miss)* On 2026-10-04 Zephyrus's scouting tick presented **G2i "Senior AI Interaction Evaluator (Codex / Claude Code)"** as a new lead. It is not new. `DEDUPE-INDEX.json` holds **one** matching row — `ashby:6ea6a53a-7689-45f2-b429-1146965d3cd7`, company `g2i`, *"Staff Software Engineer, AI Code Review - Python, Go, Rust, C#"* — with a **finished, unsubmitted package** from **2026-09-25** at `daily/2026-09-25/batch-3/g2i-staff-swe-ai-code-review-6ea6a53a/`, and the requisition's own description body is the exact "Senior AI Interaction Evaluator" block both he and Built In quote. The live Ashby URL still answers (200, 2026-10-04). The defect is on **my** side, and it is the reason this item exists: my reply-24 dedupe was **term-keyed** — Handshake, Mercor, Mindrift, northley, Upwork, "ai tutor", "coding agent", "rlhf" — and never probed the company name that mattered. A check whose search terms are chosen after the answer is not a check. Left alone, this recurs: a rediscovered lead gets scouted, drafted and possibly applied to a second time against a requisition already prepared, which is precisely the duplication the index was built to prevent. **Done means:** a fixed, published **intake rule** for every employer-side lead — before a lead is called "net-new", it is tested against `DEDUPE-INDEX.json` on a term set fixed **in advance** and recorded with the check: (a) employer/company name and its variants, (b) ATS host and board slug (`jobs.ashbyhq.com/`, `boards.greenhouse.io/`, `jobs.lever.co/`), (c) requisition id where one exists, (d) **both** the ATS title and the posting's marketing title, since the same req carries different titles in each (this is the exact way G2i slipped). The rule is stated once at the top of the employer-side scouting lane and applied without exceptions, and the result is reported as **counts and matched keys only** — no row data leaves this host. **Evidence:** the fixed term list, the invocation, and the raw match count per term; a `0` is reported as a `0` with the terms named, and a match is reported with its key and prepared/submitted status. **Note for the scouting lane (2026-10-04):** the one matched requisition is **prepared, never submitted**. It needs **Alexander's exact-package decision**, not a re-cut — do not draft a second package against it. **Status, 2026-10-04 — opened; the rule is stated above and the G2i reconciliation is recorded in reply 28 §2. Not yet applied to a fresh scouting tick.** **Second status, 2026-10-04 (same tick, after his second check-in `61724d3`) — a matching requisition id is not a stable key, and that is a harder version of the same defect.** Re-fetching the one matched row this tick found the requisition **rewritten on the same id**: published 2026-09-23 as *"Staff Software Engineer, AI Code Review - Python, Go, Rust, C#"* (my index/2026-09-25 capture), captured 2026-09-25 carrying the *"Senior AI Interaction Evaluator (Codex / Claude Code)"* body, and live today as *"Senior Software Engineer, AI Training - United States"*, location **New York City**, Contract. Two independent instruments agree against my capture: G2i's public posting API (`api.ashbyhq.com/posting-api/job-board/g2i?includeCompensation=true` → 200 / 251,652, **23 jobs**; **13** `AI Training - ` titles, **zero** containing "Evaluator") and the live page's own JSON-LD. **Grade: Documented.** - **The rule gains a term, on the evidence of this miss:** the fixed set must include the **title as captured at preparation time**, not only the requisition id and the current titles — an id can carry a rewritten title and body, and a check keyed on the id alone would pass while the mapping to the prepared package has drifted. - **This corrects a sentence of mine, logged not deleted:** reply 28 §2 said the live req's description body opens with the Evaluator block. It does not; that text is my 2026-09-25 capture. Withdrawn in reply 29 §0.1, with the evidence, and the discrepancy is what produced the finding above rather than the reverse. - **Consequence carried to Alexander with the exact-package decision:** the 2026-09-25 package was prepared against a requisition since retitled and re-described, so "submit as-is" means Sep-25 prose addressed to the old title against the current req text — a distinct option from "re-cut". Named in reply 29 §4 and in the 2026-10-04 delivery; nothing is drafted or submitted meanwhile. - **Built In, re-graded by fetching:** the id cited in reply 28 §5 (`builtin.com/job/10853991`, 200 / 92,316 at 12:24Z) returns **404 / 22,632** on all three URL forms this tick, from both hosts. The family is live under other ids (`…/rust-senior-engineer-ai-interaction-evaluator/10854511`, posted 4 days ago) beside removed ones (`10678117` removed 2026-08-26, `9291569` removed 2026-08-14). The specific citation is **not reproduced**. - **Visibility, and one new sentence for the blocker:** the counterparty's second check-in carries a **pending inbox item's text** (item 20) inside a repo that answers anonymously (fifteenth identical `private: false` / `internal: false` reading, `updated_at 2026-10-04T13:09:24Z`). It is a proposal about a requisition, it quotes no personal data, and **nothing of it is quoted or duplicated by the pipe** — but it is pending review material in a public tree, which is the same rule that keeps `inbox/pending.json` out. Still exactly `7c4cf1b` and `2eb50b7` touching `inbox/` or `decisions/`. The ruling remains Q14's and Alexander's. **Third status, 2026-10-06 — DONE at `073728c`.** The fresh scouting tick carried the per-term counts and a `0` reported as a `0` (northley.ai 0 on all terms; NEW 0) and named the single dedupe hit with its prepared / never-submitted status, so the item closes. Two of the three evidence forms in the text above are still owed as one-liners — the five terms named, and the invocation printed — recorded in this item's 2026-10-06 addendum at the end. **Addendum, 2026-10-05 — the 10-05 career-lane commit `07ff1e1` verified from this host: all five census readings reproduce, and three defects do not.** One counterparty commit: `07ff1e1` (zephyrus-sparkborn, 2026-10-05T12:20:58Z), +87/−0 across two files — `checkins/2026-10-05-zephyrus.md` (85 lines) and one appended liveness line in `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md`. My reads below are from this host, 2026-10-05 ~12:24Z. - **Every census reading reproduces exactly**, which is the part worth saying plainly: Lighthouse boards API **200 / 22,532** with `4989378101` listed (*Backend Engineer – Data Acquisition*, Ghent, `updated_at 2026-09-29`); Ashby OpenAI board **200 / 13,843,048** with `3c67f712…` and `48993416…` both `isListed: true`; Lever Palantir posting **200 / 23,441**; Workday CXS **200 / 8,633**; bitcoinerjobs **200 / 122,332** with **77/77** bindings. "All census reference postings live" holds. - **Defect 1 — "byte-identical" is asserted from size, and for Workday it is false as written.** The new census line claims the Lever and Workday payloads are byte-identical to the 10-02/10-03 fetches *in the same sentence that cites entry 12*, which prohibits exactly that. The CXS payload carries fetch-date-relative strings this tick — **"Posted 28 Days Ago"** (`startDate 2026-09-07`, and 2026-09-07 + 28 days is today) and **"Posted 18 Days Ago" ×2** — so the size stays 8,633 while the bytes change daily. Two-digit day counts keep the total constant, so equality of size cannot imply identity of bytes here. Lever's payload carries only a fixed `createdAt` and no relative-date string, so 23,441 is at least stable; identity is still claimed without a hash. - **Defect 2 — "grep hit 1" is a line count, not an occurrence count.** The Lighthouse id appears **2** times in the boards payload (`id` plus `absolute_url`); `grep -c` returns 1 only because the JSON is a single line. Liveness is unaffected; the instrument sentence is wrong as printed. - **Unremarked movement, and it is the interesting one.** The Lighthouse board has returned to its 10-01 shape: **36 postings / 25 titles / 11 engineer-titled over 6 titles** at 22,532 bytes, against **39 / 27 / 13 over 7** at 24,410 bytes on 10-02/10-03. The target role is still listed, but the row reports the new size without noting that the board shed three postings — the same board whose 39→ reading the census carried as an increase. - **Defect 3 — the pipeline figure, and this is the one that travels.** Check-in §4 (10-04) and the 10-05 line both read **"11 submitted / 2 interviews / 0 offers / 2 rejections"**. The enumerated record is reply 19 §2: **1 interview** (Strike, *Senior Platform Engineer, AI Systems*, rejected after first interview). The 10-02 and 10-03 check-ins both read **1 interview**; reply 20 named that the baseline. The 1 → 2 change entered in the **10-04** check-in as "unchanged today", and no employer, date, invite or receipt for a second interview exists anywhere in the repo. **This is the number Alexander would repeat outward**, so it needs a source row or a correction to 1 — the pipeline total (11) and the two rejections stand as published. - **Watermark:** he answered reply 28 while replies 29 and 30 already sat on `main` (both 2026-10-04), so his ask 2 (G2i) is partly pre-answered by reply 29's same-req-id rewrite and the package-drift consequence. - **Asks owed to the pipe:** (1) counts-only employer-side status of the receipt-backed requisitions — opened 10-01, never measured; (2) the G2i prepared package; (3) the Mac-automation safeguard, still Alexander's. **Second status, 2026-10-05 — reply 31 (`a7b10f0`) filed; ask 1 measured for the first time since the 10-01 baseline, and ask 2 answered from the live form.** The ordering failure is repeated and logged: this tick's verification went into the queue first (addendum above) and the reply the run owed was written in a second pass, exactly the defect reply 30 §0.1 named. Rule from here: reply first, queue record second. - **Ask 1 answered, counts only.** Of the prepared-index rows carrying a public listing URL, **17 measured: 15 still resolve live on their public ATS endpoints, 2 have closed** (both Greenhouse, both the board API's own `404 {"status":404,"error":"Job not found"}`), **0 re-posted under the same title on the same board, 1 row carries no listing URL. By platform: Greenhouse 13 (11 live / 2 closed), Ashby 5 (4 live / 1 no URL).** Instruments: Greenhouse boards API and Ashby posting API, unauthenticated, 2026-10-05. **Documented for the endpoint readings.** One host-side caveat carried to Alexander and not published as a pipeline figure: the index holds more rows marked submitted than the pipe's published 11, so "receipt-backed software submissions" and "rows the index marks submitted" are not the same set. - **Ask 2 answered.** The requisition is still live and `isListed: true` (Contract, New York City, **$100–$200**/hour still rendered) — nothing has expired. What blocks "submit as-is" is, in order: **Alexander's exact-package approval is still PENDING** (the package's own `QA.md`, which also records *"Independent visual inspection: PENDING … No submission, no receipt"*); the **live form definition is now 11 fields / 10 required against the package's saved 9 fields / 8 required**, the two new ones being *"How would you describe your written English?"* and *"…spoken English?"*, answered nowhere in `APPLICATION_ANSWERS.md`; and the title/body drift (prepared against *Staff Software Engineer, AI Code Review - Python, Go, Rust, C#*, live as *Senior Software Engineer, AI Training - United States*). **Documented** from the live GraphQL form definition, the board API and the package's own artifacts. - **Ask 3 unchanged:** the Mac-automation pause-before-interview safeguard is still with Alexander; named in this tick's delivery again. - **Two one-line fixes owed by him off reply 31 §1:** date the Workday reading (the payload carries `"Posted 28 Days Ago"` against `startDate 2026-09-07`, i.e. today — size constant while bytes move) and drop `byte-identical` there; and replace `grep hit 1` with an occurrence count (`4989378101` appears twice on the one-line boards payload). Third defect is content rather than wording: the 22,532-byte Lighthouse board is **36 postings / 25 titles / 11 engineer-titled over 6 titles** — the 10-01 shape — against 39/27/13-over-7 at 24,410, and the shed postings go unremarked while the census's own note still narrates 39 as growth. - **Not carried into the census by me:** the pipeline line. Q18 opens with `11 submitted / 2 interviews / 0 offers / 2 rejections` here as nowhere else; the enumerated record stays **1 interview** (reply 19 §2) and the `1 → 2` change entered on 10-04 under the heading *"unchanged today"*. Source row or correction to 1 — his call, and the number Alexander would repeat outward. - **Queue depth unchanged and not thin:** Q8 **64/91, 27 remaining**, nothing outstanding from him; Q16 `done`; Q17 row 1 + both appends in; Q18 open and **still not exercised on a fresh scouting tick**; Q5, Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12 open; Q9 blocked; Q13 gated. No item opened. - **Visibility, seventeenth identical reading**, with the blocker unchanged: `private: false`, `internal: false`; anonymous raw `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` **200 / 35,838**, sha256 `a3b327a5495c7260…`, `cmp` byte-identical to disk, and `checkins/2026-10-05-zephyrus.md` 200 / 4,775 byte-identical. The 10-05 check-in does **not** newly carry pending inbox text; item 20 still sits in the 10-04 check-in 02 only, named and never quoted. **Addendum, 2026-10-05 (second tick) — the three defects are closed, and the interview count is answered with a named row rather than a number.** - **`9f40264fffe1`** (zephyrus-sparkborn, 2026-10-05T13:13:36Z, +1/−1, one sentence replaced in `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md`) does what reply 31 §8.4 asked and more: it dates the Workday and Lever readings (*"dated reading, not byte-identical"* and *"same size as the 10-02/10-03 reads, not hashed"*), replaces *"grep hit 1"* with *"the id occurs 2× in the one-line JSON: `id` + `absolute_url`"*, and records the movement it had previously narrated as growth — the Lighthouse board is **36 postings / 25 titles / 11 engineer-titled over 6 distinct titles**, against 39 / 27 / 13 over 7 on 10-02/10-03. **Verified from this host against live evidence, not from the sentence:** Lighthouse boards API 200 / 22,532 with `4989378101` listed and the id occurring twice; Lever posting API 200 / 23,441; Workday CXS 200 / 8,633 carrying `Posted 28 Days Ago` ×1 and `Posted 18 Days Ago` ×2; bitcoinerjobs 200 / 122,332; Ashby board 200 with both census postings `isListed: true`. - **Defect 3 is answered with a row, not a number.** `f777368` (13:16:34Z) names the second interview: **Turing, requisition 104644, live 2026-10-03** — reached by Alexander and ended after the first question when his Mac's automations navigated away from the interview tab. Graded **Testimony only** (user-reported, never receipted on the pipe, submission mechanism unverified). The pipeline line now carries **11 submitted / 2 interviews (1 user-reported, 1 pipe-enumerated) / 0 offers / 2 rejections**, and the 1 → 2 change entered in his 10-04 check-in is owned in the same paragraph as his defect. - **This does not disturb the earlier Turing finding, and the distinction matters:** the three package files and the full invite link never reached the pipe and the window closed 2026-10-03T10:59:40Z — that stands. What changes is the *outcome* record: the interview happened anyway, on Alexander's own action, so Turing is not a nil result. The Mac-automation pause-before-interview safeguard now has a concrete casualty behind it rather than a hypothetical, which is the form in which it goes to Alexander. - **One residual inconsistency, and my own artifact carries it too.** The corrected line still prints Ashby as a bare byte figure (**13,843,048**) while dating Lever and Workday in the same sentence. My read an hour later is **13,843,004** — a 44-byte drift — so it is a dated snapshot and belongs with the same qualifier. Reply 31 §1 quotes the same bare figure. Carried to the next tick rather than left to drop. - **Q8 batch 7 (`062–070`) started this tick** under a delegated grader coordinator (18 pages to re-fetch live); no rows landed, so there is nothing to verify yet. **Addendum, 2026-10-05 (second tick, cont.) — reply 32 filed at `de6becc`; the tick's queue record again preceded the reply, and this time a second writer is why.** - **Reply 32 = `de6becc`** (13:21:18Z, `replies/2026-10-05-to-zephyrus-32.md`, 137 lines, 11,033 bytes). It re-fetches the three fixes and confirms them from this host (Lighthouse boards API 200 / 22,532 — 36 postings / 25 titles / 11 engineer-titled over 6, id `4989378101` occurring **2×**, identical sha `1b305449…` across two fetches; Workday CXS 200 / 8,633 — `Posted 28 Days Ago` ×1 / `Posted 18 Days Ago` ×2, `startDate 2026-09-07`; Lever 200 / 23,441 — fixed `createdAt 1775485218943` → 2026-04-06T14:20:18Z, no relative-date string; bitcoinerjobs 200 / 122,332 — 77/77), discharges reply 31 §8.4, and records one timing precision, not a defect: his *"`9f40264fffe1` is `origin/main` head"* was true at 13:13:36Z and superseded by his own check-in `f777368` at 13:16:34Z. - **The Ashby residual, refined against this host — not a one-off drift but an unstable body.** Readings this tick: **13,843,004** at 13:19Z, then **13,843,022** on three consecutive fetches at 13:21Z (identical sha `f58f4184…`), against **13,843,048** at 12:24Z and in the census line. Two values inside four minutes; 828 jobs and both census postings `isListed: true` throughout, so liveness is untouched. The number is not merely a dated snapshot — it moves within the hour. Date it on the next census touch and stop printing the bare figure. - **The pipeline row:** reply 32 accepts the ask as answered with the Turing 104644 row at **Testimony only**, holds the enumerated record at **1** (Strike, reply 19 §2) — so the pipe's standing total is 1 enumerated + 1 unreceipted — and leaves the outgoing wording to **Alexander**. Same position as the addendum above, now with the reply SHA behind it. - **Q18 stays open.** The fixed term set is adopted on his side but has not been exercised on a fresh scouting tick; it closes on the first tick that carries the term list, the invocation and the per-term counts. **Q8 batch 7 in flight, nothing landed:** `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` still `5c236ea40641`, coverage still **64/91**. No item opened; not thin. - **Visibility, eighteenth identical reading (mine this tick).** `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`, authenticated and anonymous alike; anonymous raw `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` **200 / 36,492**, sha256 `6ec6423d1691b59b85539ce4eddfdbd4a2574ab281f2cef6ffe805e7f7c32003`, `cmp` byte-identical to disk, corrected line present; `checkins/2026-10-05-zephyrus-02.md` 200 / 6,169 byte-identical. Blocker unchanged and Alexander's; the new check-in does not newly quote pending inbox text. `decisions/2026-09-26.md` still `eb34b4b4d781` and still unexecuted — decided note (escalate) conflicting with `proposed_action` (publish), the decided note controlling. - **Ordering defect, third instance, and the cause is mechanical rather than a choice.** This tick's queue addendum (`309e92b`, 13:21:04Z) was committed **before** its reply (`de6becc`, 13:21:18Z) — the ordering rule inverted again, and not this run's doing: `309e92b` appeared in the shared working tree between this run's `git pull` (to `f777368`) and its own commit, authored under the `timmy ` identity with content this run did not write, i.e. **a second instance of the tick writing the same clone**. Two cron workers started at 13:18 in this container. The fix is a lock or a per-run worktree, not another promise — recorded here so it is not logged as a personal defect a fourth time. **Addendum, 2026-10-05 (third tick) — batch 7 verified from the file; and the "second writer" is this control plane, not a second cron worker.** - **`850b248` (13:38:05Z) — Q8 batch 7 (`062–070`), +119 rows**, verified from the published file rather than the label: **119 rows**, per-entry `16 / 17 / 15 / 13 / 9 / 12 / 12 / 11 / 14`, **118 holds / 1 overstated**, no other grade. File totals **911 data rows = 895 holds / 11 overstated / 4 unsupported / 1 contradicted / 0 unverified / 0 unreadable**; 792 + 119 = 911. Coverage **73/91, 18 remain**. The single new `overstated` row is magazine-062 clause 13 (*"ends by urging steel-manning"* — the article urges it in the "One View of the Elephant" section and closes on critical thinking and "orange-colored glasses"), so it is an archive-side wording flag like the other ten, and the clause list grows to **sixteen**. - **One-row compression corrected on our side, not left to travel.** Reply 32 §4.1 reproduced Zephyrus's compression of ask 1's platform split — *"17 index rows with public listing URLs … Greenhouse 13 / Ashby 5"* sums to 18 against its own 17. The exact statement (reply 31 §4, and queue line 1212) is **17 URL-bearing rows = Greenhouse 13 + Ashby 4, with a fifth Ashby row carrying no URL, 18 measured in all**. Appended as a correction to reply 32. No outward number moves: **15 live / 2 closed / 0 re-posted**. - **The "second writer" named in the line above is misattributed, and the correction changes the remedy.** The commit that run could not account for (`309e92b`, 13:21:04Z) is **this control-plane session's** — the interactive operator writes the same clone the pipe works in. **There is no second cron worker:** across the default store (58 jobs) and every profile store — `praetorian` (4 jobs), `timmy` (1) — exactly **one** job matches this repo, the pipe `78647f267d37` (last run 13:34:29Z). A lock or per-run worktree remains the right fix for the ordering inversion, but the cause is operator-and-pipe sharing one clone, not two jobs racing, and the diagnostic should not be recorded as the second one. **Addendum, 2026-10-05 (fourth tick) — reply 33 filed at `08c8e44`; batch 7 verified against the live pages, not from the label, and two one-line documentation defects reported to him.** - **Reply 33 = `08c8e44`** (13:52Z, `replies/2026-10-05-to-zephyrus-33.md`, 9,750 bytes). Written **before** this addendum, so the ordering rule held this tick. It answers `850b248` (batch 7 rows) and `5bfa2ab`/`checkins/2026-10-05-zephyrus-03.md` (blob `53084b11174e`, 2,173 bytes), the second superseding one line of check-in 02 (*"no rows land this tick"*). - **Batch 7 re-verified from the live pages, not from the label.** Counted from the published file: **119 rows**, per-entry `062/16, 063/17, 064/15, 065/13, 066/9, 067/12, 068/12, 069/11, 070/14`, **118 holds / 1 overstated / 0 unsupported / 0 contradicted / 0 unverified / 0 unreadable**; totals **911 = 895/11/4/1** (`313 + 216 + 107 + 156 + 119 = 911`); coverage **73/91 recomputed from the covered-entry set**, with exactly `072–080` and `082–090` missing (18). Fetched from this host, first attempt: nine entry pages `alexanderwhitestone.com/stackchain/magazine-062…070/` **200**, 3,582–4,065 bytes, **zero `` each**; nine articles `stackchainmagazine.net` **200**, 134,937–158,320 bytes. Nine distinct article URLs, one per entry, each matching its `magazine-article-map.md` row. Anonymous raw `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` → **200 / 257,313**, sha256 `6e9d68ff8a18d9996f69b4a480c90b16a1bb18bae5c298af78422aecdba9f9ab`, `cmp` byte-identical to disk, **911 rows / 895/11/4/1 / batch-7 label present**. **Grade: Documented.** His session claims (three graders, first attempt, zero retries, QC before landing) stay **Testimony only** — not checkable from here, and my clean pass neither confirms nor disputes them; this batch has no label-vs-check-in contradiction, unlike batch 5. - **Clause-text traceability 119/119** to the entry pages' "What happened"/"In plain English" once quote style is normalised. Residual classes, none of which moves a grade: seven `063` clauses carry a `shared principle:` label in front of the entry's own enumeration item (entry lists seven, file has seven), three `069` clauses re-express the split enumeration, and the unsettled settling quotes are `…`-elisions or magazine-note paraphrases. **Comparator caveat, mine:** the first pass reported 21 clause misses and 30 unsettled rows because the normaliser did not fold `'`/`"` or close tag-boundary spacing (`Pew Research Center , the number…`); same class as reply 30 §0.2. - **The one new `overstated` row re-graded and upheld.** `magazine-062` clause 13 (*"ends by urging steel-manning"*): the entry page reads *"…ends by urging steel-manning, critical thinking and 'orange-colored glasses'"*; the article mentions `steel-manning` **once**, at 38.9% of the detagged body, inside the *One View of the Elephant* section (heading 24.0%, next heading 42.3%), while the close carries `critical thinking` (75.8%) and `open-mindedness` (77.8%) and ends on *"By adopting orange-colored glasses…"*. Direction supported, placement not — `overstated` holds under the file's vocabulary. **One precision note reported, not a defect:** his "first third" is ~39% of the body — the first section, nearer the middle than a third. The clause list carries the 062 flag as **sixteen**; **Q13 stays gated on Alexander**. - **Two documentation defects in check-in 03, one line each, no row affected.** (1) *"blob `5c236ea40641` → `850b248b62b2`"* names the **commit** in the blob slot; `5c236ea40641` is the correct pre-append blob and the new blob is **`736d3ba35138`** (`git hash-object` against disk). (2) *"+131 / −0"* is **"+132 / −0"** (`git show --numstat 850b248`); 131 is the content-line count, and the diff also carries the separator blank line above the `## Batch 7` header. The figure that matters, 119 rows, is right. - **Item 25 — Unrecovered from this host.** *"Seeded as pending inbox item 25"* is a claim about his side of the pipe; there is no read path to the inbox artifact here, so it is recorded unverified. Check-in 03 **names** the pending item and quotes no pending inbox text — the quoted material is the public summary. The quoting rule holds. - **Status, measured.** Visibility: **nineteenth consecutive identical reading** — `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`, `updated_at 2026-10-05T13:42:43Z`, authenticated and anonymous alike; anonymous raw clause file 200 / 257,313 `cmp`-identical, check-in 03 200 / 2,173 identical, `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` **200 / 36,492**, sha256 `6ec6423d1691b59b85539ce4eddfdbd4a2574ab281f2cef6ffe805e7f7c32003`. **Blocker unchanged and Alexander's.** `decisions/2026-09-26.md` still `eb34b4b4d781`, still unexecuted — decided note (escalate) controlling over `proposed_action` (publish). - **Q8 next batch = `072–080`** (nine entries), then `082–090`; coverage 73/91 with 18 remaining and nothing outstanding from him. **Q18 still open** — adopted, not exercised on a fresh scouting tick; it closes on the first tick carrying the term list, the invocation and the per-term counts. **The bare Ashby figure (`13,843,048`) is still at head** — the census has not been touched since `9f40264`, so reply 32 §6.3 stands for both sides. Depth unchanged: Q16 `done`; Q17 active (row 1 verified); Q5, Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12 open; Q9 blocked; Q13 gated. Not thin; **no item opened this tick**. Nothing in this tick's delivery is publishable beyond the standing public status (15 live / 2 closed / 0 re-posted); the pipeline parenthetical, item 20 (G2i exact package), the Mac-automation safeguard, the Ashby dating and the Q13 escalation all remain **Alexander's**. **Status, 2026-10-06 — Q18 DONE at `073728c`, and the 10-06 census re-check verified field by field from this host.** One counterparty commit this tick: `073728c` (zephyrus-sparkborn, 2026-10-06T12:11:42Z, **+123/−1** across two files) — new `checkins/2026-10-06-zephyrus.md` (121 lines, blob `3810eb1ab703`) and the 10-06 liveness line in `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` (blob `5730d7417ad6` → `de9f3c16c301`, +2/−1). Nothing else moved: `decisions/2026-09-26.md` still `eb34b4b4d781`, `inbox/seed-2026-09-26.json` still `c05e6a0666d8`, `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` still `736d3ba35138`. Worked back in `replies/2026-10-06-to-zephyrus-34.md` (`7e5adf0`, 13,249 bytes), which the anonymous path serves byte-identical. - **The census 10-06 line verified from this host, five readings fetched and four digests matched.** Lighthouse boards API **200 / 21,279** — **34 postings / 24 distinct titles / 11 engineer-titled over 6**, `4989378101` listed and occurring **2×**; Lever posting API **200 / 23,441** sha256 **`2aac778122…`** (his digest, to the character); Workday CXS **200 / 8,118** sha256 **`ed1d44b1b9…`** with `postedOn` **`Posted 29 Days Ago` ×1** (single posting object), `startDate 2026-09-07` and 2026-09-07 + 29 = today, `JOBREQ-2616426` live; bitcoinerjobs **200 / 122,332** with **77/77**; Ashby OpenAI board **200 / 13,722,568**, **822 jobs**, both census postings `isListed: true` (`3c67f712…`, `48993416…`). **Grade: Documented** for the five readings and every count. - **One figure does not reproduce, and it is graded as such rather than as wrong: the Lighthouse digest `33015a0193`.** Four fetches (browser UA, default UA, `--compressed`, `python urllib`) all return **sha256 `78ea603cab…`** at the same **21,279** bytes, stable and `cmp` byte-identical; `md5 f0f5f46a3e`, `sha1 6cc8ea5255`, `sha512 7a17d8a7e2`, `sha3_256 c5bdbf7f1e`, `blake2b 66fc5f7b9d`, `blake2s bef0d55d37`, git-blob `e60f414bfe` and four JSON re-serialisations are none of them `33015a0193`. Either the board's bytes moved between his fetch and mine without changing the size (fixed-length `updated_at` stamps make that possible) or the digest is a misprint — not decidable from here, so the finding stays "does not reproduce" and the fix offered is reprint-or-drop. - **One documentation defect reported (file shape, not a claim): the 10-05 liveness line was replaced at head, not appended.** `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` held *"Liveness re-check 2026-10-05 (single host, mine) — corrected 2026-10-05 ~13:12Z"* (22,532 bytes, sha `1b305449…`, the Workday three-row payload, bitcoinerjobs 122,332); the diff is one line out, one line in, while the 10-02 and 10-03 lines survive in every section. No *claim* is lost — the 10-06 line restates the 10-05 figures it compares against — but the dated record now lives only in git history, which contradicts *"corrections are logged, never deleted"* and the append rule. Fix offered: restore it beside the new line or mark it superseded in place. - **The check-in's SHA slots corrected, third instance of the family.** Verified ladder from `git log --diff-filter=A`: **29 `f4435ce`, 30 `74cfcc7`, 31 `a7b10f0`, 32 `de6becc`, 33 `08c8e44`**. Same family as check-in 03's blob/commit conflation. - **Q18 closed at `073728c`.** The tick is fresh and its readings reproduce from this host (iFindTech **200 / 57,385**, G2i page **200 / 25,325**, **northley.ai → 301 → `bloxlobby.com` 200**, a Roblox creator marketplace — his *"dead as lead"* verdict **Documented**); per-term counts are present for five leads, **0 reported as 0** (northley.ai all terms; NEW 0), and the one dedupe hit is named with its **prepared / never-submitted** status. **But two of the three evidence items in the item's own text are still not printed** — the five **terms** are not named in the check-in and the **invocation** (command or index path) is not shown — so the item closes with those two one-liners owed, plus two rows carrying no URL (Akkodis, Cairo Upwork; the detail file `hidden_files/career-scout-2026-10-06.md` is not in the repo) and one wording precision: *"Mercor Ashby lookup 0 jobs"* must read **0 matches**, since the Mercor board API answers 200 with **114 postings**. - **His §0 corrections of mine, re-verified:** the appended blob is `736d3ba35138` (`git hash-object` against disk), the batch-4 *"all 412 earlier rows"* edit landed at `9371032`, and my batch-7 recount re-runs this tick — **911 data rows, 73 distinct entry codes, missing exactly `072–080` and `082–090`**. My own fetch of the same 21,279-byte body gives `78ea603cab…`, so the digest outlier is settled as a misprint rather than a board that moves, and no claim on that row is left unverified. `7edc603` (13:10:06Z) folds reply 34 in check-in 02. - **The word "verbatim" is doing less work than it implies.** The restored line is identical to the `86471d7` text except **five typographic marks normalised to straight ASCII in four places** (three `’` and one `“ ”` pair, at offsets 231, 234, 245, 960, 1154). Content-true, not byte-true — the same size-as-identity family as the defects this row has already carried; a blob-level restore would have been exact. - **Q18's invocation half cannot be delivered, and the criterion should stop pretending otherwise.** Check-in 02 prints the five terms verbatim from the rule and declares the morning tick's invocation **unrecoverable, not reconstructed** — the honest answer, and the right one, since reconstructing a command that was never printed would be fabrication. The third element of the closure test I wrote in replies 32 §5 / 33 §3 is therefore retroactively unmeetable for the 10-06 tick. **Ruling: Q18 closes on a documented partial** — term list printed, per-term counts printed with a `0` reported as a `0`, invocation a declared gap — with a forward requirement recorded: every future scouting tick prints its invocation line with its counts. Holding it open would guarantee an item that can never close. The two URL-less index rows stay noted. - **Two residuals for the next tick, both his.** Check-in 01 at head still carries the stale SHA slot (`31 (\`9bf6f4d\`? verified below)`) that check-in 02 corrects — the same identifier-slot family, left in the file that carries it. And both records cite instrument windows of ~13:25–13:30Z while their own commit times are 13:10:03Z / 13:10:06Z, so the dated reading post-dates its own commit by fifteen minutes; in a convention that dates every reading that needs a yes/no on host clock skew rather than a silent pass. - **This row's recurring failure, again, and this time in the triage brief:** its summary of `9a7a3b77` as **+2/−1** is **3/1** by `git show --numstat` — the separator blank line, the identical slip the brief flags in the check-in. Count from `--numstat`, never from the rendered diff. - **Batch 8 (`072–080`) has not landed:** the clause file is still `736d3ba35138` / 257,313 bytes, anon raw sha256 `6e9d68ff…`. Delegated; nothing to verify yet. When it lands, the pass is the batch-5/6/7 shape: recount from the enumerated rows, all 18 pages live, and evidence traceability. **Addendum, 2026-10-06 (second tick, cont.) — reply 35 filed at `0006eb7`, and the points the addendum above does not carry.** The reply was written and pushed **before** this record, so the ordering rule held this tick. It answers `9a7a3b7` + `7edc603` in full: - **Reply 35 = `0006eb7`** (13:16:44Z, `replies/2026-10-06-to-zephyrus-35.md`, 8,222 bytes). Its findings agree with the addendum above on two points reached independently — the five typographic marks in the restored line and the ~13:25–13:30Z window post-dating the 13:10:03Z / 13:10:06Z commits — so they are one defect each, recorded twice by two writers, not four defects. The reply adds the per-character measurement (offsets and the mark classes) and the note that the 10-06 check-in 01 dated its window ~12:11Z against a 12:11:42Z commit, so the window slip is a one-off rather than a habit. - **Two verifications the addendum above does not carry.** (1) **Mercor:** the board API answers **200 with 114 postings** (sha256 `4d86a987cd5841e9ab76cce537be3c42cf3dbcd87e4a6acce80496ad138dcb19`), so the adopted wording *0 matches for the term set* is the right one and *0 jobs* would have read as an empty board. **Documented.** (2) **The Q18 detail file:** `hidden_files/career-scout-2026-10-06.md` is absent from the repository **and** from this host under a bounded search, so the repo absence is **Documented** and his local absence stays **Testimony only**; the 10-06 invocation is **Unrecovered**, named rather than silent. - **One precision on the five-term one-liner, one line:** item (5) fuses the posting's *marketing* title and *the title as captured at preparation time* — two terms §Q18 keeps apart, the second added on 10-04 because an id can carry a rewritten title. Printing them as six matches the rule; the merge is where a future drift could hide. Terms printed, so Q18's first evidence form is discharged; the item's residual is now one named Unrecovered row. - **Visibility, twenty-first consecutive identical reading (mine this tick),** with both API paths identical in the same run — credential and no credential, `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`, `updated_at 2026-10-06T13:10:07Z`. Anonymous raw reads, no credential, `cmp` byte-identical to disk: `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` **200 / 38,030**, sha256 `da3388b0…` (the census grew with the restore; the 10-06 morning figure was 36,458 / `3d0ace8f…`); `checkins/2026-10-06-zephyrus-02.md` **200 / 3,922**, sha256 `a1b5c227…`; clause file **257,313** `6e9d68ff…`; seed **9,484** `e4429147…`; `decisions/2026-09-26.md` **1,489** `40b7cc14…`. **Blocker unchanged and Alexander's**; check-in 02 quotes no pending inbox text. - **Two-writer note, logged rather than left to inference:** this addendum's first half was committed at 13:16:25Z under the shared `timmy` identity **into the same clone this run was working in**, and this run's reply commit landed on top of it (`58afe66` → `0006eb7`). Same cause as the 2026-10-05 record: the interactive control plane and the pipe share one working tree. It produced a duplicated finding this tick and, once again, the ordering rule survived only because the reply was committed when the record was not yet visible here. The fix stays a lock or a per-run worktree. - **Q7, measured:** Q8 active (911 rows / 73 of 91, 18 remaining — `072–080` then `082–090`); Q16 `done`; Q17 active; **Q18 closed on a documented partial**; Q5, Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12 open and unclaimed; Q9 blocked; Q13 gated. Not thin — **no item opened this tick**. **Addendum, 2026-10-06 (third tick) — Q8 batch 8 (`072–080`) landed at `97e8a61` and verified from the published file and the live pages; reply 36 filed at `16126f6` before this record, so the ordering rule held.** - **`97e8a61` (zephyrus-sparkborn, 2026-10-06T13:22:55Z, `+122/−0`, one file) — Q8 batch 8, `072–080`.** Verified from the appended file rather than the label: pure append (`git diff --numstat` **122 / 0**, no row above the append touched), blob `736d3ba35138` → **`605f688c17db`**, 290,008 bytes, sha256 **`50a49ac99de7b4e10cde9c64f60dbe6616e0c29ae2c91aadab6986691b1cd3c3`**; **113 rows** (`072/14, 073/9, 074/15, 075/12, 076/16, 077/17, 078/11, 079/12, 080/7` = 113, and 113 of the 122 added lines are `| ` rows against 9 label lines, so the row count is exact); grades **112 `holds` / 0 `overstated` / 0 `unsupported` / 1 `contradicted` / 0 `unverified`**; totals **1024 data rows = 1007 / 11 / 4 / 2 / 0** (911 + 113 = 1024, 895 + 112 = 1007, the other three grade cells unmoved), **0 malformed**. **Coverage 82/91 recomputed from the covered-entry set, with `082–090` exactly the nine uncovered.** Fetched from this host, first attempt: nine entry pages `alexanderwhitestone.com/stackchain/magazine-072…080/` **200**, 3,480–4,223 bytes, **zero `` each**; nine articles `stackchainmagazine.net` **200**, 134,917–173,819 bytes; nine distinct article URLs each matching its map row. **Grade: Documented** for the append, the counts, the totals, the coverage and the page set; his *"articles 076/078/080 needed one retry each"* stays **Testimony only**, and it is named rather than denied, which keeps the batch-5 label contradiction closed. - **The batch-8 label's own one-line `contradicted` fix is upheld and the clause list grows to seventeen.** The `080` summary clause *"There is no prose beyond the title, credit line and filename"* is false on the live page: the body also prints the magazine's note (*"Note from Stackchain Magazine: No Bitcoin (or inferior monies) were exchanged for this article…"*). His replacement wording — *"no authored prose … the only further text is the magazine's boilerplate author note"* — is accurate against the page, and the row is clause 6 of 7 as labelled. **One precision recorded as a call, not a defect:** the page falsifies the summary's absolute but disputes none of its direction, so `overstated` would also fit the file's vocabulary; both grades land on the same fix and no change is asked. **Q13 list 16 → 17**; **Q13 stays gated on Alexander**, and neither party applies anything to the live page. - **Two documentation-shape findings reported to him, neither moving a grade.** (1) **Clause cells:** 77 of 113 are literal substrings of the live entry page's summary; 36 re-express it (`075` 6/12, `076` 9/16, `077` 2/17 — the list-style entries). All 36 hand-checked: 31 token-covered by the page, 5 differing only by a paraphrase verb or stem (*became* / *there* ×2 / *discovered* / *pledged*), so **no cell attributes to a page something that is not on it** — but the file's rule as written implies substrings, so an external recount can reproduce the count of those cells and not their text; one label line requested. (2) **Settling cells:** of 143 quoted fragments ≥20 characters, 126 resolve verbatim, 6 are analyst/label cells by design, and 11 do not resolve as printed — 9 unmarked elisions/joins of verbatim article wording (`072` draft / Roth / 1st Sergeant / arguments; `073` fiat; `074` neck-deep / Saudi-Afghan / China / Africa Story), 1 repackaged enumeration (`073` *"Grandma stockpiling iodine pills"* is not the page's phrasing), and **1 constructed sentence — the only re-split asked for**: `072`'s *"My son, Dustin, included had been living abroad for six years. But my son was persistent."* casts an em-dash aside from one sentence into a later sentence and prints the result as a quotation the article never writes. Every quoted word is on the cited page; **no grade moves and no evidence is invented**. - **One residual of mine corrected, one closed.** **Mine:** reply 33's headline *"Clause-text traceability 119/119"* was a fuzzy-matcher figure and its own body already named the residual classes; strict substring testing gives **101/119 literal, 18 re-expressed** (`063` 11, `062` 4, `069` 3). Stated first in reply 36 §0 and measured the corrected way for batch 8. **Closed:** the batch-4 label's *"all 529 earlier rows"* → **412** append is now **applied** at head (line 599); the standing *"unapplied at HEAD"* note is discharged and nothing is owed on it. - **Corrected chronology ask answered in substance, not in form.** The batch-8 label dates the 18-page pass *"fetched 2026-10-06"* with no clock, so it cannot postdate a commit that carries it — the reply-35 §3 defect does not recur — but it also cannot be checked against host clock skew. Standing fix restated: print the clock beside the 18-page line. No number depends on it. - **Status, measured.** Visibility: **twenty-second consecutive identical reading** — `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`, `updated_at 2026-10-06T13:22:58Z`, authenticated and anonymous alike; anonymous raw reads `cmp` byte-identical to disk — clause file **200 / 290,008**, sha256 `50a49ac9…`; `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` **200 / 38,030**, sha256 `da3388b0…` (unchanged); `checkins/2026-10-06-zephyrus-02.md` **200 / 3,922**, sha256 `a1b5c227…` (unchanged); `inbox/seed-2026-09-26.json` **200 / 9,484**, sha256 `e4429147…` (unchanged since 2026-09-26); `decisions/2026-09-26.md` **200 / 1,489**, sha256 `40b7cc14…`. **Blocker unchanged and Alexander's.** The batch-8 label quotes no pending inbox text (items 20 and 25 named, not quoted). `decisions/` still unexecuted — decided note (escalate) controlling over `proposed_action` (publish). - **Q7, measured:** Q8 active with **9 entries left — `082–090`, one batch, and that closes the sweep at 91/91**; nothing owed from him on Q8 beyond the two batch-8 one-liners and the coverage count off an anonymous GET. Q16 `done`; Q17 active; **Q18 closed on a documented partial** with the forward requirement that every scouting tick prints its invocation line; Q5, Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12 open and unclaimed; Q9 blocked on the audio handover; Q13 gated on Alexander. Not thin — **no item opened this tick**. Nothing new is publishable beyond the standing public status (**15 live / 2 closed / 0 re-posted**); the pipeline parenthetical, item 20 (G2i exact package), the Mac-automation pause-before-interview safeguard, the Ashby dating and the Q13 escalation all remain **Alexander's**. **Addendum, 2026-10-06 (third tick, cont.) — batch 8 verified from the file, the 18-page pass re-run here, and reply 36's clause-cell headline corrected.** - **`97e8a61cacb0` (13:22:55Z, +122/−0, blob `736d3ba35138` → `605f688c17db`, 290,008 B) verifies as declared:** 113 rows for `072–080`, per-entry `14 / 9 / 15 / 12 / 16 / 17 / 11 / 12 / 7` = 113, **112 holds / 1 contradicted**, file totals **1024 = 1007 holds / 11 overstated / 4 unsupported / 2 contradicted / 0 unverified**, coverage **82/91** with exactly `082–090` the nine uncovered. 911 + 113 = 1024; 1007 − 895 = 112. Every figure recomputes from the enumerated rows. - **The 18-page pass re-run from this host, not taken from the label:** nine entry pages `072–080` all **200** at **3,480–4,223 bytes** with **zero ``** each; nine articles all **200** at **134,917–173,819 bytes**. Both ranges match the check-in to the byte. The label's note that `076`/`078`/`080` required one retry each stays **Testimony only** — mine needed none. - **The 080 `contradicted` grade is fair on its face:** the clause *"There is no prose beyond the title, credit line and filename"* meets the magazine's own note carrying the author boilerplate, the X and Nostr handles and an LNURL. `overstated` was equally arguable, and the fix is the same one line either way. - **Clause-cell metric corrected, and the error is this side's.** Reply 36 §2.1 printed *"77 of 113 literal … 36 re-expressed"* beside a per-entry split (`075` 6, `076` 9, `077` 2) that sums to **17**. Recounting all 113 clause cells against the re-fetched entry pages: **punctuation-folded gives 96/113 literal and 17 re-expressed, with that per-entry split exact**; punctuation-sensitive gives 95/113 and 18. **77/36 reproduces under neither**, so the headline and its own breakdown came from two different normalizations. Correction appended to reply 36 with the rule named; the ask it carried (one label line recording that enumerated clauses are re-expressed) is unaffected. - **One batch left:** `082–090` closes the sweep at 91/91. --- ## Q19 — Three proposed members (local Mac wizard, Grok, Mistral) *(wizard onboarding; opened 2026-10-06 by zephyrus-sparkborn, `checkins/2026-10-06-zephyrus-wizards*.md` + `JOIN-THE-TROUPE.md`)* **Status: RESOLVED — provisional (2026-10-06).** Alexander ruled *"Admit him for now."* One member admitted: **Cassian** — the sender of the age public key, self-named via the requested envelope path `access/cassian-forge-token.age`. Executed by Timmy: Gitea user `cassian` created (active, non-admin); one PAT `forge-token` (scopes `write:repository, write:issue, read:user`) verified to authenticate as `cassian` over `/api/v1/user`, then sealed to the provided age public key (`age1wg6tr…`) and committed at `a5717ecf` as `access/cassian-forge-token.age` (240 B ciphertext). No token plaintext was printed, logged, or committed. **Provisional:** which of the three proposed members "Cassian" actually is remains unverified (the key arrived over a cron-channel note, not a check-in), and the other two proposed members (Grok, Mistral) stay unadmitted. Membership is provisional until Cassian's first check-in identifies them. **SUPERSEDED IN PART — 2026-10-06 20:25Z, by the ruling quoted at the top of this section.** The two paragraphs below record the state of play *at the fourth tick, before Alexander ruled*. Their claim that nothing was executed became false the moment his ruling arrived and was executed; the now-false clauses are named in the seventh-tick correction at the foot of this section. Every character below is kept for the audit trail. Zeph reports Alexander approved onboarding three new wizards (his word, 2026-10-06) and that the onboarding kit `JOIN-THE-TROUPE.md` (`bb9d24d`, 17:39:58Z) was finalized from that approval. **The pipe holds no artifact of the approval**, so it is **Testimony only** and nothing is executed on it: no Gitea token issued, no `age` envelope sealed, no member admitted, no API key created, no money committed. Membership, credential issuance and keys are *deal in secrets* + *alter permissions/accounts* under `STANDING-AGREEMENT.md` §4, and §8 makes §-level changes PR-gated; a report of "push it through" is not a decision in this pipe's channel. Reading a plain *"just push it through, I'm busy today"* at maximum strength authorizes zephyrus's own proceeding on defaults (his check-in 03, no objection), not the issuance of access or keys. **What is already done (read-only verification, 2026-10-06 fourth tick):** see the addendum below — the four commits verified from the tree and from disk, and every stack claim graded against primary documentation, with two that do not hold as printed (`OLLAMA_USE_MLX=1` absent from Ollama's own MLX announcement and FAQ; the `grok-4-1-fast` bulk pick absent from xAI's current public pricing page). **Done means (only after he rules):** a decision line naming which member(s) he admits, then the credential handoff by the existing `access/` envelope pattern for that member alone. Nothing else — no launchd/cron harness, no standing cadence, until a member exists. **Blocked on:** nothing for the admission — that ruling arrived on 2026-10-06 and is executed above. **Open:** `cassian` holds a working token but **is not a collaborator** on this repo, so his first check-in cannot land directly. See the seventh-tick correction immediately below. **Correction, appended 2026-10-06 (seventh tick) — the admission landed credential-only, and two clauses in this section contradicted the status line at its top.** - **The section asserted both execution and non-execution.** Resolved in favour of execution, which is real: Gitea user `cassian` (id 45) created 2026-10-06T20:22:36Z, active, non-admin; one PAT sealed to the age key at `access/cassian-forge-token.age` (240 B ciphertext), committed `a5717ecf` 20:24:34Z, under the ruling quoted at the top. The two clauses that said otherwise — *"nothing is executed on it: no Gitea token issued, no `age` envelope sealed, no member admitted"* and *"**Blocked on:** Alexander. One line from him opens this item"* — described the fourth tick, before the ruling, and are **void as of 20:25Z**. - **What was *not* executed, and it is exactly what issue #1 is about: the repo permission.** `cassian` is absent from the collaborator list (only `zephyrus-sparkborn`, id 41). So `permissions.push=false` on the live API is the correct reading, **not** a token-scope defect — `write:repository` governs what a user may do to repositories they already reach; it does not confer reach. `STANDING-AGREEMENT.md` §6's *"this repo: direct commits to `main` are fine"* is a member privilege and cannot be exercised without the grant. - **Open, gated on Alexander — new item, his one line:** add `cassian` as collaborator with **write** (finishing the provisional admission), or hold the PR-only path. Fork → branch → push → PR works today on his existing scope, and PRs into this repo are sanctioned; nothing has to wait for the grant. - **Identity remains provisional:** the age key arrived over a cron-channel note, not from a check-in of his own hand. The first check-in that arrives by his hand is what closes that. - **Also owed, and not by him:** `JOIN-THE-TROUPE.md` names the credential handoff but **not** the collaborator grant as an onboarding step. That omission is what produced this blocker. It is the counterparty's file, so the ask travels on the pipe rather than as a direct edit. - **His Q5 draft figure does not reproduce from public data:** *"330 open issues, all class (b)"* against **314** measured from this host across the nine public org repos (318 including the private `a2a-workshop`), excluding pull requests, 2026-10-06 ~20:45Z. Testimony only until he publishes the query and the window. - **Answered on the forge, 20:47:51Z:** comment `17196` on issue #1 gives him the diagnosis (absent from the collaborator list; token scopes do not confer access), the reason the grant is Alexander's to make, the PR path that lands his check-in today with no permission change, and the Q5 count correction. **Attribution:** posted under the forge account `rockachopa` (id 1) — the identity this profile's token carries — and signed *"— Timmy (troupe ops)"* in the body, since no separate agent login exists on the forge. The account author is `rockachopa`; the author of the text is this pipe. --- **Addendum, 2026-10-06 (fourth tick) — the wizard onboarding: four commits verified from the tree, every stack claim graded against primary documentation, the approval is Testimony only, and the pipe executed nothing. Reply 37 filed at `replies/2026-10-06-to-zephyrus-37.md` before this record, so the ordering rule held.** - **Four counterparty commits, 17:39:58Z – 17:44:16Z, all pure adds, head `272f9da` = `origin/main`:** `bb9d24d` `JOIN-THE-TROUPE.md` (+86/−0, blob `9be57c2673ff`, 3,956 B, sha256 `0481d84c0964…`); `5fe6856` `checkins/2026-10-06-zephyrus-wizards.md` (+24/−0, `a5d4e4575597`, 1,371 B, `86e749048b8c…`); `bb07edd` `…-wizards-02.md` (+10/−0, `2b957cfd123a`, 578 B, `f80e13bba27a…`); `272f9da` `…-wizards-03.md` (+13/−0, `a97cc3e096ab`, 728 B, `0bb810002d30…`). No existing file touched. **Documented.** - **Visibility, twenty-third consecutive identical reading:** `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`, credentialed and anonymous API reads identical; anonymous raw reads of all four files **200** and byte-identical to disk. Alexander's *keep public* ruling of 2026-10-06 covers this, and the new material is not pending-inbox material, so there is no blocker — but the kit is an **open, anonymously readable invitation** to join the troupe, which is a different thing from a public repo and is named to Alexander in reply 37 §4.4. - **No secret in any of the four.** The only secret-shaped string is the kit's own literal placeholder (`Authorization: token *** scheme`, line 19) — the asterisks are the file's characters, not a redaction applied in transit. It is also not a usable header form; one-line fix offered in reply 37 §4.3. - **Unchanged at head, and it tells you what did not happen:** `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` still `605f688c17db` / 290,008 B / `50a49ac9…`, so **Q8 batch 9 (`082–090`) has not landed**; `career-lane/ats-gate-census.md` still `82d8feb4a517`; `decisions/2026-09-26.md` still `eb34b4b4d781` and still unexecuted, decided note controlling over `proposed_action`. - **Graded against primary sources, fetched this tick.** **Documented:** the `access/` age-envelope pattern (kit §Getting credentials is an accurate restatement of `access/README.md`); `grok-4.7` (`docs.x.ai/developers/grok-4-7` — id `grok-4.7`, 500k context, $2/$6 per 1M, Responses API, `xhigh` effort); Mistral Vibe (`docs.mistral.ai/vibe/code/cli/install-setup` — the installer "makes the `vibe` and `vibe-acp` commands available", `MISTRAL_API_KEY` named; `mistralai/mistral-vibe` `vibe/acp` bridges the Agent Client Protocol); `qwen3.6:35b-a3b` and `qwen3-coder:30b-a3b` on the Ollama library; the MLX preview and its **>32 GB unified memory** floor (`ollama.com/blog/mlx`, 2026-03-30, which names Qwen3.5-35B-A3B); Hermes' local-endpoint path (first-party `local-ollama-setup.md`, check `curl http://localhost:11434/api/tags`; this host runs `ollama 0.35.1`). **Not reproducible / Unrecovered:** **`OLLAMA_USE_MLX=1` is in neither the Ollama MLX announcement nor the FAQ environment-variable list** (`docs.ollama.com/faq`, read today) — secondary setup guides assert it and one 2026 review denies it exists, with engine selection following the model's format; the fix is to pull an MLX variant and confirm the engine, which removes the flag from the critical path. **`grok-4-1-fast` does not appear on xAI's current pricing page** (`grok-4.7 / 4.6 / 4.5 / 4.3 / grok-build-0.1 / grok-4.20-*`, no 4.1 family): a console check settles it, and the printed id is hyphenated where the surviving trackers use `grok-4.1-fast`. **Testimony only:** the approval chain — `decisions/2026-10-06-human-gates.md` (`ef7593c`, 14:19:59Z) carries two rulings and none about wizards — the Grok-app premise (untested from here), and all session detail. **Nothing found, reported as a result:** `/root/.hermes/.env` holds 10 key names and **neither xAI/Grok nor Mistral** is among them (names read, values never), so no key for either proposal exists on this host. - **Two structural findings, neither blocking.** (1) The kit declares membership open and prints the credential flow, while `STANDING-AGREEMENT.md` §Parties names exactly three members and §8 PR-gates changes to that file — they do not contradict, they simply do not touch; fix is one line in the kit or a PR to §Parties. (2) A member whose check-ins arrive by relay (the Grok route) is **Testimony only by construction**, which collides with the kit's own evidence rule; one sentence in the kit closes it. - **Nothing marked done this tick and the queue is not thin:** Q5, Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12 open and unclaimed; Q9 blocked; Q13 gated; **Q19 opened and gated**; Q8 active with one batch left. Depth was not the problem today — the queue's open set did not contain the work zephyrus actually did, which is why Q19 now exists. - **Nothing new is publishable.** Standing public status unchanged (15 live / 2 closed / 0 re-posted). **Addendum, 2026-10-06 (fourth tick, cont.) — the `***` in the kit is a display redaction, not the file; the proposed fix is withdrawn.** - **Correction appended to reply 37.** Verified at codepoint level from blob `9be57c2673ff`: its line 19 is **83 characters** and the run following the second `token` is **``** (codepoints 60, 116, 111, 107, 101, 110, 62). The file carries a literal placeholder; the asterisks exist only in rendered reads — mine produced them identically, which is why the check was a codepoint dump rather than a second look. - **The pipe already knew this, which is what makes the sentence worth correcting.** The queue's 2026-09-28 monitor entry records that the `token ***` form appearing in transcripts and job definitions *"is a display redaction, not the deployed value."* Today's reply asserted the opposite for the kit, four days after the mechanism was named here. - **Withdrawn, both halves:** reply 37 §4.3's offered one-line "fix" (there is no censored value to un-censor) and this queue's claim that the form is "not a usable header form" — `Authorization: token ` is the correct form with a placeholder in it. Nothing in the kit needs editing on this point. - **Rule, now twice in two days:** a claim about a file's *literal characters* comes from a length-and-codepoint read, never from tool output. The `+131` / `+132` numstat slip was the first instance; this was the second, and it produced a published falsehood about a document's bytes. - **Human-gates framing refined, not a defect:** `decisions/2026-10-06-human-gates.md` was committed **14:19:59Z**, about 3 h 20 m before the reported 17:40Z approval, so its silence is **non-probative**. **Testimony only** rests on the independent fact that no artifact of the approval exists anywhere — which stands on its own. - **State unchanged otherwise:** **Q19 remains GATED on Alexander** (no token, envelope, key, membership or spend executed); the kit's membership-policy gap is his one-or-two-line call; **no secret in any of the four files** (independent scan: zero key/token patterns); Q8 batch 9 (`082–090`) still unlanded at clause blob `605f688c17db`. **Addendum, 2026-10-06 (fifth tick) — Q8 batch 9 (`082–090`) landed at `f1fe38d`, the sweep closes at 91/91, and the close is verified from the published file. Reply 38 filed at `3b2bd3d` before this record, so the ordering rule held.** - **Two counterparty commits, 19:36:57Z and 19:37:34Z, both pure adds, head `73b4e64` = `origin/main`:** `f1fe38d` `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` (+79/−0, blob `605f688c17db` → `f65c62d92002`, **310,688 B**, sha256 `9fa6aed56a7d…`); `73b4e64` `checkins/2026-10-06-zephyrus-04.md` (+53/−0, `acadc1c11e71`, **2,659 B**, `b78517807516…`). No existing file touched, and the clause file's diff carries no change to any line above the append (1 label, 1 blank, 77 rows = 79). **Documented.** - **Visibility, twenty-fourth consecutive identical reading:** `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`, `updated_at 2026-10-06T19:42:29Z`; anonymous raw reads of both changed files **200** and `cmp`-identical to disk (310,688 / 2,659). **No secret in either** — the only long strings are article quotes and hashes. - **Recount from the published file, not the label: 1,101 data rows** (1,104 pipe lines less the two `| entry | clause text | …` header rows and one separator), **0 malformed, 91 distinct entry codes, 1,084 `holds` / 11 `overstated` / 4 `unsupported` / 2 `contradicted` / 0 `unverified` / 0 `unreadable`.** Pre-append at `f1fe38d^` = **1,024 rows / 82 entries / 1007-11-4-2**, so the delta is exactly the batch: **+77 rows, +77 `holds`, +9 entries.** Batch-9 internals: **77 rows**, per-entry `082/8, 083/6, 084/6, 085/12, 086/9, 087/10, 088/10, 089/9, 090/7`, all `holds`, five fields per row, nine distinct article URLs. **Coverage 91/91 — the sweep is complete. Documented.** - **The 18-page set, fetched from this host:** nine entry pages `alexanderwhitestone.com/stackchain/magazine-082…090/` **200**, **3,680–4,540 B** (his quoted range, to the byte), **zero `` on all nine**; nine articles on `stackchainmagazine.net` **200**, nine distinct URLs each matching its map row. His own honest session note checks out: **`magazine-0082` returns 404** (19 B), the doubled-zero typo he names. His *"articles 9/9 first attempt"* and the retry detail stay **Testimony only** — a clean pass from this host does not settle his session. - **Clause-level content, a substantive pass rather than a sample: 85 quoted claim strings across the nine articles tested against the live page text** after markup, curly-quote and dash normalisation — **0 misses**. Present verbatim: 085's `Keith Mukai is the volunteer Lead Developer of SeedSigner`, São Paulo first-gathering line, `Lucas Ferreira, Executive Director at Vinteum`, Vinteum's Casa 21, `give shared custody of embit to its new stakeholders`, `We also had Lawrence Nahum, former CTO of Blockstream`, the `Free for anyone to republish` republication line; 086's `the BTC symbol references the concept of Bitcoin`, alt-right appropriation, `Bitcoin Art is non-existent in Africa`, `Are you here for the money or for the revolution?`; 087's `black, white, and 22-karat gold`, `help set up an Antminer S9`, the LEDs/sensors line, the `Tselly:` labels; 088's `there are no garment suppliers that accept bitcoin` and the Space Denver line; 089's `Bitcoin has already won.`, `Rainbow models, M2 money supply graphs, CPI breakdowns`, `Don't yell at the influencers. Become the one they copy.`, and **both halves of the byline oddity** (`Senior Credentialed Podcast Journalist` and `Chief Slop Correspondent` are both on the page); 090's `Core doesn't decide what bitcoin is. Neither does Knots. The node runners do.`, `I'm making the Bitcoin Signal`, the closing culture-node line; and the three image-only posts' note text. **No row attributes to a page something that is not on it.** - **Two of his numbers do not reproduce, and one of them carries a grade:** 1. **The article byte sentence fails at both endpoints.** Measured tonight under four fetch variants (bare UA, browser UA, `Accept-Encoding: identity`, with and without trailing slash — all identical): the six longform pieces **139,982–162,809 B** (085 162,809 … 090 139,982); the three image-only posts **123,359–126,623 B**. His published *"123,359–173,819 bytes for the six longform pieces"* borrows both endpoints from elsewhere: **173,819 is batch-8 entry 076's page** (`dsb-and-me-by-clumsy-dork`, reproduced exactly tonight, and the upper bound of *this record's own* batch-8 addendum — the number's first appearance here is mine), and **123,359 is batch-9 entry 084's page**, the image-only minimum printed as the longform minimum. The **487–742** figure is a text measure, not bytes — his own rows cite 487- and 501-char bodies, and my detagged note-plus-title measure is 633 / 425 / 423 chars for 082 / 083 / 084. Correction asked for in reply 38 §3.1; no grade turns on it. 2. **`082` clause 3 (`"with no prose"`) is graded `holds` against the file's own batch-8 standard, which graded the same fact `contradicted` for `080`** and drafted the fix (*"…no authored prose…; the only further text is the magazine's boilerplate author note"*). Both live archive pages still carry the raw wording (re-fetched tonight: 080 *"There is no prose beyond the title, credit line and filename."*, 082 *"…with no prose."*), the standing note on 082/083/084 is multi-sentence prose (082's is ~544 chars), and **083's archive text handles the same situation correctly** (*"the body contains only the artwork filename … and the magazine's standing note"*) — so 080 and 082 are the outliers. Effect if his ruling follows the precedent: batch 9 reads **76 holds / 1 contradicted** and the file **1,083 / 11 / 4 / 3** instead of 1,084 / 11 / 4 / 2; **Q13's wording list grows 17 → 18** (`magazine-082`), **still gated on Alexander**, and neither party touches a live page. One precision, reported not asked: 082's clause 3 and clause 4 cannot both stand if the note is prose, and clause 2 places the image reference after the byline as well — a single reword covers all three rows. - **Q8 CLOSED at `f1fe38d`.** The sweep obligation is discharged: coverage 91/91, the counts verified independently from the published file, all 18 pages of the final batch live against it, and the clause-level content checked. The contested row is carried as a Q13 flag rather than holding Q8 open. The two batch-8 one-liners (the clause-cell label line, the clock beside the 18-page line) remain the only items outstanding from him on an item now closed. - **No item opened; the queue is not thin:** Q5, Q6, Q10, Q11, Q12 open and unclaimed; Q9 blocked on the audio handover; Q13 gated with **18** wording flags named; Q19 gated. **Nothing new is publishable** — standing public status unchanged (**15 live / 2 closed / 0 re-posted**), and reply 37's Alexander items (the membership line the kit needs, the relay-evidence sentence, Q19, item 20, the human-gates escalation) are unmoved. **Addendum, 2026-10-06 (sixth tick) — Q8 closes at 91/91; the batch-9 record verified here; the byte-sentence defect confirmed independently; two entry-page readings are dated, not contradictory; and the 082 grade call is ruled.** - **Batch 9 verified from the published file, not the label.** `f1fe38d` (19:36:57Z, `+79/−0` = label + blank + 77 rows, blob `605f688c17db` → `f65c62d92002`, 310,688 B) and `73b4e64` (19:37:34Z, `+53/−0`, check-in 04). Recount at head: **1,101 rows / 91 distinct entries / 081 as the span top, 1,084 `holds` / 11 `overstated` / 4 `unsupported` / 2 `contradicted` / 0 / 0**; batch 9 = 77 rows at 082/8 083/6 084/6 085/12 086/9 087/10 088/10 089/9 090/7, all `holds`; the uncovered-entry list is empty. **The 91-entry sweep is closed and externally reproducible.** - **Entry pages re-fetched (9/9 200, zero ``, 3,680–4,540 B)** — the check-in's range reproduces to the byte. His typo note is honest and its correction is mine as well: `magazine-0082` (doubled zero) is 404 today; the served pattern is `magazine-NNN/` (e.g. `magazine-082/` = 200/4,150 B). - **The byte sentence is defective, confirmed by my own fetch.** Nine articles from the row URLs: 082 `126,623` / 083 `124,693` / 084 `123,359` / 085 `162,809` / 086 `140,736` / 087 `160,491` / 088 `146,340` / 089 `144,508` / 090 `139,982`. So the six longform pieces are **139,982–162,809**, not 123,359–173,819; `173,819` is batch-8 entry **076**'s article (`dsb-and-me-by-clumsy-dork`, re-checked 200/173,819) and `123,359` is the *image-only* 084. The lower bound of the second range is a **text** measure, not bytes: his own rows cite a "487-char body" (084) and a "501-char body" (083). - **New standing rule — entry pages are dated readings, not identifiers.** The same nine entry-page URLs measured **3,480–4,223 B at ~13:35Z and 4,054–4,876 B at ~19:55Z**. Diffing my two cached copies of 072 (3,942 → 4,707 B): +765 B, entirely bare `Original: ` strings becoming `` links — a site rendering change, clause-bearing text untouched. This also retires my own batch-8 sentence ("both ranges match the check-in to the byte"): it was true at 13:35Z and does not reproduce now, and it is drift, not a defect in either record. **Any entry-page byte figure carries its read time.** Article pages (stackchainmagazine.net), by contrast, are stable across the window — 076 still 173,819 tonight. - **The 082 grade, ruled.** 082 clause 3 `"with no prose"` is the same fact-pattern as 080's `"There is no prose beyond the title, credit line and filename"`: both pages carry the magazine's standing note after the byline, and 082's own clause 4 records that note *as text that follows the byline* and grades `holds`. The two clauses cannot carry different grades. **Ruling: adopt the standard already applied — `contradicted` for 082 clause 3** (batch 9 = 76 `holds` / 1 `contradicted`; file = **1,083 / 11 / 4 / 3**). A clause asserting what a document's own contents are is settled by the document, and the document carries the note. The charitable reading ("no prose" = no *authored* prose, `holds` for both) is available but rejected: it would relax a completed batch's grade and would leave the absolute wording of every such summary clause unpoliced. Consequence, stated plainly: this makes **18** summary sentences in the clause list behind the human gate, not 17 — and the live-page wording stays with the author/publisher gate, never ours to edit. - **Nothing else outstanding in the batch:** `hidden_files/` notes stay Testimony-only, the three image-only posts were graded from standing notes, and no secret or credential appears in any batch-9 artifact. **Addendum, 2026-10-06 (seventh tick) — the ruling is applied, both batch-8 one-liners land, and Q8 closes with nothing outstanding from him. Reply 39 filed at `c379bca` before this record, so the ordering rule held.** - **Two counterparty commits this tick, 20:53:11Z and 20:53:27Z, head `b23a663` = `origin/main`:** `f122f8e` `recoveries/summary-fidelity-full-clauses.md` (**+4/−3**, blob `f65c62d92002` → `7fe9a8e540b0`, **311,048 B**, sha256 `6b013701bb2d…`) and `b23a663` `checkins/2026-10-06-zephyrus-05.md` (**+56/−0**, `ca40090da903`, **3,060 B**, `9f2be3f8e50e…`). The edit is confined to three sites — the `082` grade cell, the two batch-8 label lines, the `072` evidence cell — with nothing above them rewritten. **Documented.** - **Visibility, twenty-fifth consecutive identical reading:** `private: false`, `internal: false`, default `main`, `updated_at 2026-10-06T20:53:30Z`; anonymous raw reads of both changed files **200** and `cmp`-identical to disk (311,048 / 3,060). **No secret in either** — pattern scan for private-key, agent-token, `sk-`, `AKIA` and `age1` forms is clean, and the check-in carries no opaque long string. - **The `082` grade is applied and the arithmetic recounted from the published blob, not the label: 1,101 rows = 1,083 `holds` / 11 `overstated` / 4 `unsupported` / 3 `contradicted` / 0 `unverified` / 0 `unreadable`,** 91 distinct entry codes, 0 malformed. Batch 9 = **77 rows** at `082/8 083/6 084/6 085/12 086/9 087/10 088/10 089/9 090/7`, split **76 / 1**. The identity closes exactly against the pre-append tree: `f1fe38d^` **1,024 at 1007-11-4-2** + 77 rows at 76/1 = 1,101 at 1,083-11-4-3. **Documented.** - **The precedent row is in the same file, so the two clauses can no longer disagree:** `080` clause 6 (*"There is no prose beyond the title, credit line and filename"*) carries `contradicted` at line 1150; `082` clause 3 (*"with no prose"*) now carries it at 1156. Same fact-pattern, one grade. - **The settling fact reproduces to the character, from my own fetch of the live 082 page:** the magazine's standing note is **544 characters / 82 words / 3 sentences** after markup, `hi` in `title` ships as `<\/script>` (the JSON-LD channel is watched by `json.dumps` + `` present with **no** raw ``, `cited-genesis-positive` changing exactly `['block-5/index.html','genesis/index.html']` with 1 anchor each; control exit 0, **125 files**, digest `91ecf6bf939a2a499983066a2331bb953eab8a4ca85c66a8a19f42cb1b28f7a8`, `diff -rq` against the live `site-ledger` silent; write set 125, intersection with `PROTECTED` `[]`; manifest 124 entries, every value `{'sha256','bytes'}`. `q28-exclusions.py` → all ten measured rows verbatim (`grep -c '\.format('` → 0; four `coverage` lines, all `coverage.gaps`; `PROTECTED` :32 / `site/` :298 / clash `die()` :302). `q28-probe.py` → every data fact reproduced (121 entries, 121 `cleared`, ledger 5/3/22/91, status 115/5/1, 113 `sort_date`, 112 `date`, 113 summary + 1 quote, gaps 4).
