QUILL DRAFT STANDARD v1.0

|
Purpose: every artifact from the Draft lane must pass these gates before it leaves the bench.
|
|
This file is the canonical standard; copies distributed from here.
|
|
|
|
GATES (ALL must pass)
|
|
----------------------
|
|
1. CONCRETE OUTPUT — a real file under /root/.hermes/wizard-outputs/quill/ or an equivalent committed artifact.
|
|
Fail: "I can provide this if you want", "here is a plan", "we could".
|
|
|
|
2. EVIDENCE ON EVERY CLAIM — test output, file checksums, real command results.
|
|
Fail: "likely works", "probably fine", "I think it's correct", fabricated logs.
|
|
|
|
3. FINISHED, NOT STUBBED — the artifact is complete and usable as written.
|
|
Fail: TODO markers, half-built scaffolding, "extend this by adding..."
|
|
|
|
4. MEASURED, NOT CLAIMED — when a test is cited, its actual output is shown.
|
|
Fail: "test passes" without the test command + its output in evidence.
|
|
|
|
5. ONE-LINE VERDICT — ends with `VERDICT: <claim>` on its own line.
|
|
|
|
6. CHECK LINE — a single bare shell command whose exit code IS the verdict.
|
|
- 0 = correct / pass
|
|
- nonzero = wrong / fail
|
|
- NO trailing `; echo ...`, `; exit 0`, `; true`, `|| true`, `|| echo ...`, `|| exit 0`.
|
|
Fail: any soft-landing arm that masks the real exit code.
|
|
|
|
7. TROUPE COMMIT — artifact copied to /root/troupe-standup/wizard-work/quill/,
|
|
added, committed as quill, and pushed to origin main with FORGE_TOKEN.
|
|
|
|
8. PLAIN LANGUAGE — no filler, no hedging, no marketing prose.
|
|
Claim > adjective. Direct > circumlocutory.
|
|
|
|
FORMAT REQUIREMENTS
|
|

- No markdown headers as bullets; headers are plain text underlined with = or -.
|
|
- No bolding unless a literal command.
|
|
- Line length: keep body under 100 chars where practical.
|
|
- Paths are absolute unless the current working directory is clearly established.
|
