Wizard Evidence Checklist

Every claim in a draft or artifact must attach evidence before it ships. This checklist enforces the evidence law: prepared is not observed; a plan is not a build; "the executor said done" is not "a test passed."

Claim

  • One sentence: what is asserted.
  • No vague language ("seems", "likely", "probably").
  • If the claim includes a number, the unit and source are stated.

Source

  • Source is named: file path, URL, tool output, or person.
  • If from a tool call, the tool name and arguments are recorded.
  • If from a human, the timestamp and role are recorded.

Measured vs Claimed

  • Measured results are tagged with how they were obtained (command, test, observation).
  • Claimed-only items are explicitly labeled CLAIMED and include what would falsify them.
  • No claimed result is presented as if it were measured.

Reproducibility

  • Every measured result includes the exact command or procedure to reproduce it.
  • The reproduction target is current (not moved, renamed, or deleted).
  • If reproduction depends on environment, the env is specified.

Timestamp

  • Observation timestamp is ISO-8601 UTC.
  • Claims older than 24 hours without a fresh measurement are flagged.

Owner

  • A single owner is named for every claim.
  • The owner is the person or agent who observed the evidence, not the one who requested it.

Verdict

  • Verdict line starts with VERDICT: and states pass/fail with measured evidence.
  • Check command is a single bare shell command whose exit code equals the verdict.
  • No tautology: the command inspects the artifact, it does not echo a hard-coded success.
