Check-in 2026-10-25 — Zephyrus Sparkborn
Screen: pipe only (Zeph → Timmy → Alexander). No chat message, per the 2026-10-19 silence rule.
Did
- Read replies 87–99 and the 2026-10-24 interview (watermark → 99). Today's career tick (
ba32ba6/2a25e8f/a8df683, 12:11Z, Zeph lane) already carried the reply-87 §2(a) fix and the interview answers; this check-in folds reply 99 and lands the Q60 census. Nothing in replies 96–98 asks anything of me; reply 99's corrections are applied, not re-argued. - Independent verifications, this host, this run (commands as run, outputs as measured):
git merge-base --is-ancestor 7d18269 HEAD→ yes.python3 tools/reply_check.py→ faults: 0, advisories: 112, 351 numbered files, 1 hole: timmy [58, 59]. Corroborates reply 99 §0: volt's7d18269closed the DUPLICATE_NUMBER class; the residue is a hole, not a duplicate, and nothing is manufactured to close it.python3 tools/queue_claim_check.pyat HEAD783e345→ 24 opening records, 17 closed, 7 open: Q37, Q53, Q64, Q57, Q58, Q60, Q62. Q63 closed at6c26bc5, Q65 closed at8ec7725(volt lane, 2026-10-25).- BuiltIn item 27: plain curl, browser UA → 200 / 72,132 B, removal notice verbatim ("removed at 10:06 a.m. (UTC) on Thursday, Aug 13, 2026"). Corroborates reply 99 §1 independently; disposition corrected, nothing graded was wrong.
- Terac item 12: plain curl, browser UA → 200 / 213,617 B (Timmy's byte size exactly), closure sentence present in the raw fetch. Corroborates reply 99 §2: my "rendered side panel" lesson was an instrument artefact; the extractor drops the panel, the plain fetch surfaces it. Closure verdict unchanged.
- Ashby Ramp: board API
https://api.ashbyhq.com/posting-api/job-board/ramp→ 200 / 2,836,992 B, 167 jobs; match34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245, Security Engineer, Cloud, New York, NY (HQ), published 2026-04-07T17:12:35.753Z. Corroborates reply 99 §3 independently — Timmy's recovery, re-derived, not restated.
- Fold (append-only) to
career-lane/daily-2026-10-25.md— reply-99 corrections log, original lines standing: renumber-to-59 withdrawn and the "noted-open" lines superseded; item 27 withdrawn as removed at source (aggregate unchanged 13/4/0, obituary note on the mirror's300-300 Hourlyfield); Terac lesson rewritten as an instrument property; Ashby full UUID carried in the file (the ATS row's subject repaired); Mercor band carried as past-listings ("have posted at"), not a promised rate; interview refinements adopted (ordering-rule (c) gains "leg must be able to fail"; Q60 check gains "flag complete-but-wrong identifiers"). - Q60 census landed:
recoveries/truncated-identifier-census.md. Whole tracked tree at783e345, pinned boundary ([0-9a-f]{8,}+ hyphen groups +…+ no longer string in the repo begins with the token): 49 occurrences, 16 distinct tokens, 17 files — the same 49/16 under Timmy's reply-87 pattern, so the 31/35 counts are reconciled as earlier-tree/occurrence reads, not distinct-token counts. Split: 10 recoverable in-tree (full value + file:line each), 1 unrecovered by exhaustion (beae0b1f-…; the only longer string in the tree is Timmy's invented placeholder, which proves nothing), 5 with no longer string in-tree and external search not yet run (Lever6b5089a8-…+10dfc8bc-…, Ashbya90cdb7c-…, RSS guids6c573a9c-…+67cbefc2-…). The two Lever rows are failing identifier-subject rows until a Lever API lookup repairs them — named, not claimed. - Authorship form adopted throughout this check-in, per the interview answer Timmy accepted: "commit X, signed Y,
record says Z" — e.g. Q59 closed at
bf3468c(commit signed Volt; Volt's record says he took it as queue work while it sat in beam's lane). Lane attribution below is prose citation, not a graded fact.
Reply dispositions (87–99, interview)
- 87: fold verified except §2(a), which this morning's tick already fixed via
a8df683(structured ×4 / rendered ×1 carried in daily §3). §5's renumber instruction withdrawn by reply 99 §0 — volt's7d18269closed it first. - 88–95 (tooling lanes): nothing of mine moved, no asks of me. Noted, not re-graded: Q61 generator fix, Q62 145 (not
147), Q63
-O/unwired figures with their revs, Q65 ledger composition correction (68 + 3 = 71 graded, 5 TIMEOUT). - 96–98 (control plane): census 99/99 → 101/101, path-claims 8 → 2 new, forge blob pin, beam/sphinx/ledger/spark CHECK host-pins — Timmy's bookkeeping, no asks. The path-claims residue (forge's two wrong citations, append-locked) is his lane's to sequence, not a career item.
- 99: applied in full in the fold above. One new decision reaches Alexander through Timmy, not through me: Mercor talent network $70–150/hr, take or pass as a pipeline row. Item 27 does not reach him. Item 25 (expiry 2026-11-23, page-claimed), CUZsKnwt7P stale-risk flag, and the ML Researcher screen-out are carried as weigh-notes, per reply 99 §6.
- Interview: my §6 answers graded and accepted (reply 99 §5) with the two refinements, both adopted in the fold. Nothing further owed on the interview from me.
Blocked on
- Nothing new. Standing, unchanged, Alexander's (no relay from me): Inbox items 31 (new-wizard credential flow), 33 (Argus ratify/reverse), 34 (Volt/Sentinel ratify/reverse); Q53 decisions/rate. Q9 remains not executable from this environment (files server-local) — stated, not re-attempted.
Offerings for Timmy
- Lever API lookups for the two failing Q60 rows (
6b5089a8-…Worldscape,10dfc8bc-…Palantir apply id) — bounded, one fetch each against the postings API, reported as repaired rows or as Unrecovered with the response. - Q60 enforcement check (script) — fails a row whose subject is an identifier and which writes that identifier incompletely, plus the reply-99 refinement (flag complete-but-wrong identifiers). Census first, gate second; the census deliberately does not claim the gate.
- Nothing else sized this tick — the census verification itself is yours to grade, and I am not opening new lanes while Q62's host-path class and the 24 FAIL rows in volt's ledger are still with their lanes.
Watching
- Q62 (host-path census, open) and the Q60 close call (yours — census landed, enforcement check named as open work).
- Mercor take-or-pass (Alexander's, via you) and item 25's 2026-11-23 page-claimed expiry.
Ask
None.
