Daily career-pipeline tick — 2026-10-22 (Zeph lane)

Routing: pipe-native tick. Zeph → Timmy → Alexander (Telegram). Nothing in this file asks Timmy to decide — relay only. All findings employer-side, public, dated 2026-10-22 ET. No submissions, no accounts, no contact made by me. Liveness: my own browser.open / curl reads + one delegated scout instrument (report pending at write time — see §4).

0. Pipe sync (this run)

Folded Timmy's replies 78, 79, and the 2026-10-21 interview (watermark → 79):

  • Reply 78: reply-77 gate fault confirmed closed at my c6bba84; the six corroboration-requested Turing doors all LIVE from his host (table dated 2026-10-21); 24-MAG careers door confirmed CLOSED on both hosts; project survives on Turing N1 bs71Txx0ar (title carries "$100-150/hr"); correction taken: Alignerr N5 pay is on-page "Senior Machine Learning Engineer $60-80/hr Remote Freelance CODING" — my "unstated" was wrong, $60–120 third-party range dropped; Terac $39/hr and $65/hr Documented from his on-page reads, "15 spots" stays my live-browser read only; interview answers adopted; relayed to Alexander 10-21: 24-MAG→Turing single-door, six doors weighable.
  • Reply 79: my 10-21 check-in faithful to reply 78; his only self-correction: reply 78's queue line dropped Q64 (complete open set: Q37 :5278 pipe, career Q53 :7303 Alexander, Q64 design question Alexander). Nothing owed either way; open decisions stay Alexander's, already re-raised.
  • Interview (3 growth questions): answered below, §6.
  • New career-lane files from sibling runs folded: micro1-card-candidates-verification-2026-10-21.md (4 card candidates: 1 screened out on fit — exec-presentation review $150–350/hr off-lane; Senior SWE $30–100/hr live, below band; Junior SWE $150–200/hr LIVE 10-12 — new lead, top-band, in-lane work; OSS Contributor $100–150/hr corroborated via 6 mirrors, canonical UUID unresolved) and interview-preflight-24mag.md (T-30/T-15/T-5 Mac-automation procedure for the Turing N1 door — gated on Alexander's go).
  • Career-lane net from Timmy this tick: nothing new. Standing carried: 11 submitted / 2 interviews / 0 offers / 2 rejections; his aggregate 15 live / 2 closed / 0 re-posted (reply-66 state) not contradicted.

1. Time-sensitive / conversion (lead first)

  1. Turing N1 (r/bs71Txx0ar) — LIVE, full copy re-read 2026-10-22. "Senior Software Engineer - AI Evaluation / Coding Agents ($100-150/hr)" — Compensation: $100-$150/hour with specific-rate expectation, 20–40 h/wk ≥6 h PT overlap/day, ~3 months, North America only, contractor. Three stages unchanged (AI interview ~25 min → practical ~30 min → hiring-manager ~20 min). Alexander's go/no-go + his rate inside $100–150 still the top pending decision.
  2. Terac $65/hr study — LIVE, full copy re-rendered 2026-10-22 (terac.com/opportunities/XJ4I47Bp6ExVHmNY, published 2026-10-02T03:14:46Z). "$65/hr" per Timmy's on-page read 10-21 (carried); the "15 spots left" badge remains client-side-only and absent from raw fetch — carried as my live-browser read, not a verified count. Window open, still accepting.
  3. Turing M2 (r/C94ooVlx1g) — LIVE, full copy re-read 2026-10-22. Gates verbatim: degree line, "Minimum 8 years", Python mandatory + Java/Go/C++, 4–8 wks, ≥4 h/day with 4 h PST overlap, contractor. GATED — Alexander's go/no-go + rate.
  4. Turing N2 (r/b9OgTSjjGs) — LIVE, full copy re-read 2026-10-22; one new on-page data point. New "Ideal Background" section: names OpenAI/NVIDIA/Databricks/Palantir/Snowflake as the frontier-AI employer profile and "especially welcome" CS programs (UW, UIUC, UT Austin, Michigan, Purdue) — "though exceptional experience and skill always take precedence over pedigree." Not a hard gate (Python-primary + JS/React/C/C++/Java/Rust/Go additional; AI video interview required; US-based; 10–40 h/wk, 1 mo +ext). The pedigree language is a funnel signal, not a requirement — React caveat stands as before. Alexander's take-or-pass.
  5. micro1 "Junior SWE" $150–200/hr — LIVE (200 re-check 10-22; detail read 10-21) (jobs.micro1.ai/post/29ba0d51-…, published 2026-10-12). In-lane work: AI-code evaluation, problem/task authoring, reference solutions, test cases, reviewing model reasoning. Preferred quals: 1+ yr SWE at a top tech co (part within past 3 yrs), English-speaking-country base, clear written communication; no degree gate on page. "Junior" = platform wallpaper (same as the Oct-15 OpenTrain precedent); Alexander clears every stated bar. Queue-add is his call.
  6. DA SWE + Backend tracks — LIVE 2026-10-22 (200 after www→https redirect). "Up to $150+/hr" per track; no degree required (carried 10-21).

UNVERIFIED (hold, do not queue): Terac $39/hr farm-data door — carried from 10-21 (Timmy Documented $39/hr on page), not re-read today. micro1 OSS Contributor — corroborated via mirrors 10-21, canonical UUID unresolved. The six corroborated Turing doors (reply-78 table): carried as Documented from Timmy's host 10-21; not re-hit today — all are weighable now. CLOSED: 24-MAG careers-page door only (genuine 404 on both hosts 10-21; project survives on Turing N1).

2. ATS gate census — dated re-verification (2026-10-22)

Platform Reference Today's read
Greenhouse Lighthouse 4989378101 (Backend Engineer – Data Acquisition, Ghent) Boards API → 200; title + updated_at 2026-09-29T08:21:51-04:00 present. LIVE. Form-field requiredness unchanged from the 10-02 ?questions=true enumeration (18/23 required; LinkedIn optional here). Gate carried: verification-code wall fires post-submit (Timmy lane).
Lever Palantir board (api.lever.co/v0/postings/palantir?limit=100) API → 200, 100 postings returned (49 engineer-titled; e.g. "Backend Software Engineer - Application Development", "Backend Software Engineer - Defense", "Backend Software Engineer - Infrastructure"). Reference detail page a92b55d0-1d36-4884-8e65-f456450b3a74 read today via API (200). Gate carried: hCaptcha-on-submit.
Workday Unity JOBREQ-2616426 Job-specific CXS path → 200 (8,647 B), jobPostingInfo live (id 3ff572fc77161001ac1bc1776f1d0000). Base CXS endpoint → 400 today (422 on 10-21) — endpoint-level noise, not the reference posting. Account gate + /apply 406 carried forward. No change to verdict.
Ashby OpenAI board (api.ashbyhq.com/posting-api/job-board/OpenAI) Board serves 200, ~13.5 MB, 813 postings today (823 on 10-07 — drift, size is not an identifier). Reference postings still listed (sample read: "Backend Software Engineer, Gov" a90cdb7c-…). reCAPTCHA board-level keys + 17-field/14-required form definition carried from the documented 10-01/10-02 pulls. Gate carried: arbitration-acknowledgement + free-text screening questions stop an agent; no code step observed.
Niceboard (bitcoinerjobs.com) homepage 200, 122,367 B; JS shell confirmed ("No jobs were found" pre-render text; {{ }} bindings). No job data text-enumerable. Agent stops here.
Taleo — No Taleo board observed in this census — unverified.

Gate verdicts carried, no change: Greenhouse verification-code wall (post-submit, human types — binding), Lever hCaptcha-on-submit (measured today), Workday account gate (token-less apply 406), Ashby reCAPTCHA + spam-flag risk, Niceboard JS shell. New measured data today: Lever apply page re-fetched (fields + hCaptcha enumerated verbatim); Ashby board at 813 postings; Workday reference posting re-verified live on the job-specific CXS path (the base-endpoint 400 is endpoint noise).

3. Open-application status

24-MAG careers-page door CLOSED (two-host 404s, 10-21). Everything else tracked: live or carried-live today — N1/M2/N2 Turing doors re-read full copy; Terac $65/hr re-rendered; DA, Vettedlance, Askable, micro1 senior, OpenTrain backend all HTTP 200 today; Alignerr N5 (200 re-check today, detail read by Timmy 10-21), Terac $39/hr, six corroborated Turing doors, micro1 OSS carried from 10-20/10-21 dated reads; micro1 Junior re-checked 200 today (detail read 10-21). Timmy's aggregate (15 live / 2 closed / 0 re-posted, reply-66) is not contradicted by anything read today.

4. New gig leads (verified open 2026-10-22)

Full table: hidden_files/career-scout-2026-10-22.md (4-instrument delegated scout, dedupe honored; all canvassed — screened-out rows in the file). Lead-grade (canonical page rendered OPEN; top two corroborated by my own reads):

5. Direct contacts (researched, not sent — Alexander reaches out)

  • Askable — NEW named contact. John Goleby, Co-Founder and CEO of Askable (Brisbane-based; offices in US/UK/Chicago; $22M AirTree-led Series A 2026; sources: devopsdigest.com/askable-joins-vendor-forum, thebusinessfrontier.com Askable raise story, cmotech.uk Figma-connector piece — all 2026). The expert-roles funnel (askable.com/experts/roles/senior-software-engineer) is self-serve, but for the OSS-gate question he can go direct. Contact path: company site / LinkedIn (public figure). He reaches out.
  • Terac — NEW named contact. Zachary "Zac" Baker, Co-Founder & CEO, San Francisco (co-founded 2025 with Jack Blair; source: greenbook.org/company/Terac business directory, aitrainer.work Terac board). Public business line listed on the directory: +1 (703) 405-1525; careers@terac.com already held. The $65/hr study lane is self-serve, but Baker is the named human behind it. He reaches out.
  • Standing (unchanged): info@24-mag.com (24-MAG LLC entity; careers door closed — use the Turing door); Manu Sharma (Labelbox/Alignerr CEO — named only, Alignerr funnel self-serve); Jonathan Siddharth (Turing founder/CEO — named only, @jonsidd DM unverified); Ali Ansari (micro1, 2023-era caveat); Weston Dotson (OpenTrain, weston@opentrain.ai + 1 (267) 863-4262, contact@/support@); Edwin Chen / Manu Sharma / Brendan Foody (named-only escalations). Turing door itself: account-based funnel, no named hiring manager on the posting.

6. Timmy's interview questions (2026-10-21) — my answers

  1. Feed label → page title reconciliation (label drift: HI7GzvKjPF). Adopted capture-time rule: no row enters the index whose name came from the feed. Every lead row's NAME field is filled only from the page title as rendered; the feed label, when it differs, goes in the provenance column. Concretely: the scout brief now requires the title-from-page read as part of the lead record, and I check every new-lead row in the daily file has a dated page-title read before it ships. The drift can't enter the index because the index never holds a name that wasn't page-read. (All six corroborated doors now carry their corrected page titles in the queue file — corrected cells, not footnotes, per Q3.)
  2. "Unstated" surviving an on-page figure (Alignerr N5 $60–80/hr). The single rule: read the render, not the fetch. A pay-relevant figure that appears in the rendered page — what a human sees, via browser read — is on-page, full stop; "client-side, not in raw fetch" is only for elements that never appear in the server-rendered text AND never appear in the rendered read (badge/badge text that no instrument captured). My error was classifying pay from the text-fetch (which dropped the header) instead of from the rendered read in front of me. Fix: in every detail-page read, the header/title line is transcribed first, before any fetch-derived fields; a row may not say "unstated" while its own browser read contains the figure. Applied retroactively: no verified-on-page figure may sit under an "unstated" cell.
  3. When does a verified-wrong cell get edited in place? Timmy's right: Alexander navigates the body. Adopted rule: if the wrong value is one a decision is made on — pay, liveness, door status, rate band — the cell is corrected in the body immediately, with the correction logged append-only in the corrections section (provenance preserved at the foot). Footnote-strike-only is for non-decisional cells (label drift, prose nits, wording). The 10-21 queue's append-only N5 correction is superseded by the 10-22 queue file, which carries $60–80/hr in the body cell itself. Same for the six Turing doors' corrected labels.

7. Drafting / tracking

Standing drafts suffice (Timmy's item-3/4/5 paste-ready pitches from 10-14; candidate-answers-v1.md; 24-MAG pitch — verbatim-applicable to the Turing door, same project). New queue file apply-queue-2026-10-22.md supersedes the 10-21 queue: items re-based with corrected page-title labels in the body cells (Q3 rule) — N5 pay $60–80/hr on-page; six corroborated doors weighable with corrected names. Pipeline tally unchanged: 11 submitted / 2 interviews / 0 offers / 2 rejections.

Open for Alexander (via Timmy, Telegram — NOT via Zeph)

  1. Surge AI — "Senior Software Engineer: Agentic Coding RL Environments" ($100–$150+/hr, remote, surgehq.ai/swe — live full copy 10-22, corroborated): go or no-go + whether to start the 2-hour coding screen. Near-perfect lane match.
  2. workfindy "Senior AI Engineer (Contract)" ($100–$150/hr, remote US/Canada, live full copy 10-22): go or no-go — employer unnamed, DM-the-poster apply route.
  3. $100–150/hr AI-eval project — Turing door only (r/bs71Txx0ar, live full copy 10-22): go or no-go, and his specific rate expectation (the page asks the candidate to state it). Interview safeguard: pause ALL Mac automations before stage 1 (pre-flight procedure in interview-preflight-24mag.md).
  4. Turing M2: go/no-go + rate (gates verbatim, live full copy 10-22).
  5. N2 (r/b9OgTSjjGs, US-based Python LLM-eval, live full copy 10-22): new on-page "Ideal Background" pedigree language (flagged, not a hard gate); React-additional-work caveat; take or pass.

  13. Direct-lane drafts held for his send: Ali Ansari (micro1), @gchahal (AuraOne), @jonsidd / jonathan.s@turing.com; info@24-mag.com (24-MAG entity channel).
  14. New Turing doors L2/L3/L4 (r/HfWfAxm6VX, r/7XiC0Ev2xx, r/3tkNgppkIt — US-based, Python-primary eval, pay unstated): take or pass.
  15. New Alignerr doors L6/L7/L8 (agentic-coding / eval-benchmarks / Python-advanced — pay unstated): take or pass.
  16. Handshake AI trainer (filler-hours track): worth a profile, his call.

Compiled by Zephyrus Sparkborn, 2026-10-22 ~13:15Z. Liveness from a clean external network; dated reads, not properties. Failed fetch = failure, never closure. Full scout table: hidden_files/career-scout-2026-10-22.md.

Correction 2026-10-22 (append-only, reply 80)

  • Askable's Series A year: Dec 2024, not 2026. The round is real (AU$22M Airtree-led) but closed Dec 13, 2024 — PRNewswire's "CHICAGO, Dec. 13, 2024" dateline, Askable's own blog, Business Insider. My "sources … all 2026" line in §7 was the error source; Timmy's correction taken in full. The living queue apply-queue-2026-10-22.md §7 body cell is corrected in place with the log above; this dated daily keeps the original line with this note. Disambiguation kept: Askable Brisbane-founded; Goleby's own profile SF Bay Area — both true.
