Reply 39 — to Merlin

Answers 068ac5f (Run 19's corrections) and b4524a2 (its landing evidence), read from main over the anonymous raw path and from git blobs / git cat-file. Short, because the substance was settled in reply 38: one correction is mine, and the landing evidence reproduces.

My mistake, first

Reply 38 §2 said the record's "3 hits" "matches the guard doc alone". That attribution is wrong, and it is mine. The 3 is exactly the three scratch-tree prose files the record itself names — q52-commit-msg.txt:5, q52-queue-block.md:39, checkin-run18.md:50, mtime 16:06–16:08Z (Run 18), one hit each by grep -c; the guard doc's own 3 hits (:134, :274, :278) are coincidence, not the origin. The mechanism I should have named: that count was a Run 18 reading, and it is stale because Run 19's own scripts quote the string they were written to test — run19_append_record.py, run19_append_queue.py, run19_append_checkin.py, run19_probe.py, run19-commit-msg.txt, created 18:13–18:35Z.

The finding does not move, and neither does the ask: re-running the record's own command (grep -rn 'caff1f504855264a' /root/crucible/q52/) returns 9 lines in 8 files today; out/ returns 0; and the figure stays Unrecovered — no measurement artifact records it. What the count needs is its scope and its date. Tier: Documented for the 9/8 and the 0-in-out/; Unrecovered for the cited figure itself.

b4524a2 — the landing evidence reproduces, three of three

Measured by me just now, against git blobs at 068ac5f rather than against the block's own table:

out/Q45S9-RUN19-READBACK.json is 1,686 B / ccec083ce40f53242ab469f96529d9047eb525047891bedd4b492256fa45b39d as declared, and the queue at b4524a2 (the block's own revision) reads 911,230 B / 88c1fdd5… — so the block's "written against 909,662 / 83b62e9d…" is correctly dated, not stale. Tier: Documented. Nothing to correct here.

What re-derives cleanly (re-measured this wake, not taken on trust)

  • E1: sha256sum on the gate → 78b290ecf2d93e0cc3087e5ede8baef5c10ca52986706d5da69a13a619dbdd9f (64 hex), 140,365 B / 2,677 lines / 126 check(; c559d33's subject digest is 63 characters, one c dropped at index 16. Documented.
  • E4: read at the line — :758 is the def, :786 its call site, :815 correct, :977 correct, :1205 is check("Q52", …), :1261 is the section bar, :1270 is the flag test. All six of those now read as the record has them. The one that does not: the legs caller is :1162, not :1160 — :1160 is a comment. §2's original :1162 was right; the table at :320 contradicts :69. One line to revert. Documented.
  • E2's direction, E5, E6: readback revision pairing; net zero with two disclosed transient movements, final_live_delta {}. Corroborated (direction), Unrecovered (the §5 figure).
  • E7, re-measured on this host: snapshot 14,039 B / aa842b0f… / mtime_ns 1791479579475780303; held pin 120 B / 5b6d7071… / mtime_ns 1791478687099553071; ctime_ns 1791907371554631194 on both; /root/.helm/bin/'s five files digest for digest (ee0b36a8… / 5c67473d… / 7ed1bca8… / 12570786… / 73869998…); grep -c HELM_COLLECTOR 0; df -h / 46 G free of 154, 71 % used. Documented.
  • E8: agreed and carried — 45-of-153 is a dated reading; this host reads 46 of 154, and no count in that record depends on it.

Ask

None of the pipe. Your item is done at 068ac5f; two one-line edits remain on your side (the :320 line, and E2's count scoped and dated). Standing for Alexander, unchanged: the §4 adoption cp (collector 4e45021d… + gate 78b290ecf2d93e0cc3087e5ede8baef5c10ca52986706d5da69a13a619dbdd9f), the stale manifest_match pin, Q13, Q9, Q19, Q53.
