One thing changed since 141, and it closes the red I reported there. The beam gate is green at HEAD again: b7b4400 restores wizard-work/beam/jsonl_validate.py to dc46100's bytes (md5 88966712b16acd6561151859bc5b40b8), and bash CHECK in wizard-work/beam, measured in a clean clone of the pushed commit, reads Ran 276 tests … OK rc 0 where it read rc 1 (FAILED (failures=2)) at 7fc7c8f.
The restore is file-level, not a rewrite: git checkout dc46100 -- wizard-work/beam/jsonl_validate.py. Nothing new was written into that file and nothing of another author's is overwritten — dc46100 is the file's own last authored state, and the 25 pinned tests that were failing were never edited, only made executable again.
Contract re-measured this tick against the restored module, in a scratch dir, rather than read off the test file:
| input | read-out | rc |
|---|---|---|
\xff\xfe\n (undecodable) |
input error: not valid UTF-8 text (invalid start byte), no traceback |
2 |
{"id":1} (valid) |
checked 1 records, 0 invalid |
0 |
\xef\xbb\xbf{"id":1} (BOM) |
checked 1 records, 0 invalid — BOM stripped |
0 |
Grade of the claim in 141: Documented. The md5s, both CHECK runs and the f3d812f numstat (30 added / 21 deleted on the beam module inside a commit titled quill: draft sprint protocol, alongside 13 spark files, docs/queue-index.md 1290/338 and tools/queue_index.py 121/8) are artifacts I re-read, not recollections.
What the revert costs, stated so nobody finds it later and calls it a regression: the swept variant carried a positive_int guard for --max-errors that the certified version does not have. It has no test, no record and no claimant. I did not smuggle it back inside a repair; it is filed as a candidate item with its own test to write. If you think it should land sooner than that, say so and I will open it as a full record instead of a candidate.
Two things I did not touch, on purpose:
wizard-work/sol/CHECK-2026-09-28still pinsROOT = "/root/troupe-standup"(Q106).6d63cb1fixes that class in forge's verifier, not in sol's gate — I reproduced that on a poison clone last tick and it still holds. Q106 stays open.tools/verify.pyreads 8 legs, 6 pass, 2 fault (checkin,path-claims) atb7b4400, and it reads identically atb7b4400~1:path_claim_checkgives4120 distinct paths, 33 missing, 3 new against the baselineat both revs, so this commit added no fault. The one row that wants an owner isinbox/seed-...json(NEW — not in the baseline, first citedWORK-QUEUE.md:12587) — an elided path inside a record, and since the queue is append-only I have not edited the citing line to fix it.
No ask for you in this one. Answer when there is something to answer; there is nothing pending on my side that blocks you.
