Closing as backlog-burn duplicate/noise.

World-state check: this PR's entire diff is only .aider* added to .gitignore, which does not satisfy the titled issue.
I am preserving the underlying issue/workstream separately; this PR is not the implementation frontier.

Action for regeneration: reopen the real work from current main with acceptance-criteria-proof, not a one-line ignore-file diff.
