Post-merge release run 1539 for merge ce9301f failed browser-journey in tests/e2e/test_mobile_today_handoff_release.py::test_release_artifact_plans_hands_off_and_opens_next_mobile_issue. The recovered session expected #today-break-status to contain On break · resume in, but the element remained hidden and empty. Release-candidate was skipped, so no tag or Gitea release was created.

Acceptance criteria:

  • Reproduce with a focused failing test before production changes.
  • Preserve and render the active break after Today queue recovery.
  • Focused browser journey and full pytest suite pass.
  • Post-merge browser-journey succeeds and publishes an RC tag/release.
