  • enforce independent agent/test deadlines
  • terminate full process groups with TERM-to-KILL escalation
  • persist distinct timeout states and block later release stages
  • expose validated CLI/environment configuration

TDD evidence

  • RED: process-tree test failed on missing timeout arguments
  • RED: agent/test state tests failed as ordinary failures
  • RED: invalid deadline and CLI tests failed before implementation
  • Focused: 24 passed in 0.57s
  • Full: 604 passed in 21.10s
  • git diff --check: pass
