Follow-up to #37 (merged as PR #78).
Why
scripts/build_release.pygenerates the packagedRELEASE-NOTES.mdfrom a hard-coded bullet list. The 2026-10-18 package shipped grounded chat citations, and the release body and manifest name them, but the packaged notes list still stops at pattern summaries — so anyone reading only the tarball's notes would not learn the feature exists. What changed
One bullet added to the notes list naming grounded chat citations and restating the boundary: answers cite the confirmed records behind them, a citation opens that record, uncitable questions get boundary copy, an unresolved Hermes ref is labelled unverified, and citations are ledger lookups rather than inference.
Verification
python3 -m py_compile scripts/build_release.py— clean.RELEASE-NOTES.mdtext on the next build.Evidence boundary
No rebuild was run for this PR: the released 2026-10-18 artifacts were built and verified from
fe5c3d4before this commit, and their hashes stay as published. This change will appear in the next dated release's packaged notes.View command line instructions
