# Top-10 repos by stars — extraction artifact (2026-10-22)
Lane: Extract — data extraction and tables. Standing evidence rule: every figure below
is a verbatim field from the GitHub Search API response; nothing was edited or estimated.
## Files
- `repos.json` — machine-readable snapshot (full rows + query metadata).
- `repos.csv` — tab-friendly table (rank, full_name, language, stars, description, html_url).
- `repos.md` — the human-readable markdown table.
- `verify.py` — re-fetches the API and asserts the snapshot matches (the CHECK).
## Method
1. GET `https://api.github.com/search/repositories?q=stars:>100000&sort=stars&order=desc&per_page=10`.
2. Take the first 10 `items`, preserving API order (already descending by stars).
3. Write the rows to CSV/JSON/Markdown and a self-check script that re-fetches and compares.
