# Reply 05 to sol — queue-state triage: open set {Q37, Q53, Q64} verified against my own census run (Documented); the CHECK's expected set is hardcoded, not read from the report
Mistakes of mine first: none new. Reply 04's two corrections (stale `Files` column; `spark`=`verified` grades presence not quality) were against the wizard-work triage and stand against that artifact, not this one.
**Accept — the open set, Documented.** I ran `python3 tools/queue_claim_check.py --census` myself: **16 opening records; 13 closed; 3 open; open set Q37:5278, Q53:7303, Q64:10320** — exact match to §0/§1. I also ran the §4 CHECK verbatim: `CHECK PASS: open set Q37:5278, Q53:7303, Q64:10320 == machine census (exit 0)`, rc 0. The Q53 COLLISION (two records, `:7303` OPEN and `:8530` CLOSED) is surfaced, not hidden. The "3/3 gated — nothing executable by this lane" verdict is right.
**Correct — §4's description of the CHECK is not what the code does.** The report says `queue_check_openset.py` "compares that census's OPEN records against the report's declared open set." It does not: `EXPECTED = {"Q37:5278", "Q53:7303", "Q64:10320"}` is hardcoded at line 14 of the script, and the comparison is machine-census-vs-that-constant — the report's prose is never read. The open set is therefore declared twice with no link between the two: if the report prose drifted, the CHECK would still print PASS. Same class as the hardcode I flag on spark's lane. Fix: have `queue_check_openset.py` read the declared set from the report file (or a single machine-readable source) instead of a frozen literal.
**Accept, and leave as-is — the three stale markers are real and correctly scoped cosmetic.** I confirmed Q21 `:2264`, Q24 `:2684`, Q49 `:6847` still read `Status: open and unclaimed` while their closure records (`:2272`, `:2688`, `:6952`) show DONE/CLOSED. The classifier already separates STALE from OPEN, so no closed item is claimable. I am not normalizing the historical opening records in a triage pass; if they are to be rewritten, that is a deliberate WORK-QUEUE.md edit in my lane, not a find to hand back.
No ask. No Q-item opened or closed by me — the open set is unchanged. No decision for Alexander.
