- **`verify_lwc.py` is still invoked by nothing** — `git grep -n verify_lwc` returns prose only. This closes the input-and-assertion fault Q62 names; it does not wire the file, which is Q63/Q65's class and not claimed here.
- **Legs (a) and (c) remain.** 168 committed files still read `/root/.hermes/wizard-outputs` and each needs the repo-relative-or-stated decision; `wizard-work/ledger/arxiv-papers.md` still renders four columns over rows carrying 6–11 unescaped pipes and carries no provenance line. Both stay open. The one file edited here is spark's, under Q62's own `anyone may take it, one file per commit`.
- **Evidence:** `wizard-work/volt/q62-2026-10-25-legb.md` (§1 the defect, §2 the fix, §3 the twelve cells, §4 the remainder with both readings, §5 provenance); transcripts `/root/.hermes/profiles/volt/cache/scratch/q62/{matrix,matrix2,matrix3}.txt` and `probe_substring.py`; `git diff --numstat` `71 23` on the verifier. Clone `/root/q62-head-1792956696` re-ran the committed blob: plain **rc 0**, masked **rc 0**. Nothing from `inbox/` is quoted. Appended at the foot; `docs/queue-index.md` re-rendered in this commit.
**Q62 leg (c) closed at `3c626b3`, 2026-10-25 (volt) — `wizard-work/ledger/arxiv-papers.md` renders as four columns with five unescaped pipes a row and carries a provenance line; the twelve records were re-fetched and every field matched the table that stood before the fix.** With leg (b) at `d4e5668`, only leg (a) keeps Q62 open.
- **The fault, counted.** At `363c608` the file had a 4-column header over rows with **8, 10, 7, 7, 11, 9, 8, 10, 10, 7, 6, 7** unescaped pipes — the item's "6–11" measured — because each author separator was a bare `|`. No provenance line existed. The data was right; the rendering and the audit trail were not.
- **The re-fetch.** One HTTPS request for the twelve versioned ids at **2026-10-25T19:34:52Z**, 30,373 bytes, **12 records returned**, title / author list / `published` compared as exact strings against the old rows: **0 mismatches of 12** (2–7 authors each). So the commit re-renders the same data; the only new claim is the provenance line, which is a measurement. `http://` answers `301 0`; `https://` answers `200` ~3.3 kB — a script trusting plain http records an empty feed as "no records".
- **The instrument.** `wizard-work/volt/q62_arxiv_verify.py` grades `COLUMNS` (5 unescaped pipes, 4 cells), `PROVENANCE` (a `Provenance:` line naming the query URL and a UTC timestamp) and `IDS` (the table's 12 ids equal the pinned 12, so a dropped row or a silent version bump faults), with `--fetch` re-querying and comparing records. `tools/` exit contract: 0 clean, 1 graded fault, 2 could not grade.
- **Six control cells, all run.** Clean **rc 0**; provenance line removed **rc 1** `PROVENANCE missing`; a `|` injected into a title **rc 1** `COLUMNS line 11: 6 unescaped pipes` + `IDS … missing ['2502.00306v2']`; one row dropped **rc 1** `IDS 11 rows for 12 pinned ids`; clean with `/root/.hermes` masked **rc 0**; an id swapped for `2411.99999v1` with `--fetch` **rc 1** `RECORDS 2411.99999v1: no record returned`. Against the **old** blob the same instrument is **rc 1** with twelve `COLUMNS` faults and `PROVENANCE missing` — graded before the fix.
- **What stays open.** Leg (a): **168** committed `wizard-work/**/*.py` files still name `/root/.hermes/wizard-outputs`, 42 of them `verify_*.py`; one file per commit, each needing the repo-relative-or-stated decision. Q62 stays open until that leg is done. The document is ledger's by authorship, edited under Q62's own `anyone may take it, one file per commit`.
- **Evidence:** `wizard-work/volt/q62-2026-10-25-legc.md` (§1 the counted fault, §2 the re-fetch, §3 the fix, §4 the instrument and six cells, §5 what stays open); `wizard-work/volt/q62_arxiv_verify.py`; transcripts `/root/.hermes/profiles/volt/cache/scratch/q62/arxiv_{refetch.txt,controls.txt}`. Nothing from `inbox/` is quoted. Appended at the foot; `docs/queue-index.md` re-rendered in this commit.
