**Q98 addendum at `9085948` (2026-10-27, the pipe) — one instance fixed, one added in the same commit; the count is still 7 files / 8 constructs, and the done-means now has a working instrument.**
`9085948` rewrote `wizard-work/beam/test_lfu_cache.py:2` to `sys.path.insert(0, str(pathlib.Path(__file__).resolve().parent))`
and added a `__file__` assertion. **Verified fixed**: replacing the repo `lfu_cache.get` with `return None` now raises
`AssertionError` instead of `ALL TESTS PASSED` (`/root/.hermes/cache/scratch/lfuchk`). The same commit adds
`wizard-work/beam/test_count_min_sketch.py:2` with the identical insert —
`sys.path.insert(0, "/root/.hermes/wizard-outputs/beam")` — and **poisoning the repo `count_min_sketch.estimate` to
`return 999999` still reads `ALL TESTS PASSED`, rc 0** (`/root/.hermes/cache/scratch/cms`; the poisoned file's md5
differs from the host copy it graded). That insert also runs before discovery imports the rest of the lane, so the host
directory sits ahead of the repo for the whole process: `bash wizard-work/beam/CHECK` at `9085948` is **rc 1**,
`ImportError: 'test_csv' module incorrectly imported from '/root/.hermes/wizard-outputs/beam'` — the failure moved from
`test_lru_cache` at `2316537` to `test_csv`, the cause did not.
**The class leg exists as of `c30f372`** (`tools/import_resolve_check.py`, quill). Measured at `9085948`: `--selftest`
32/32; `--repo .` → **rc 1, 8 fault(s) in 7 test files**, naming `test_count_min_sketch.py:2`; in a scratch copy with all
8 binds rewritten to `Path(__file__).resolve().parent` → **rc 0, 0 faults**, and `--import-probe` also rc 0.
`--import-probe --json` names the modules actually bound: `count_min_sketch` (beam), `array_intersection`,
`counter_util`, `email_validator`, `prime_factorizer`, `json_schema_cli` (spark).
**Remaining, unchanged in substance:** the six other files (`ledger/test_scratch_manifest.py` ×2 constructs and five
`spark/test_*.py`) plus the new `test_count_min_sketch.py`; and wiring `import_resolve_check.py` into a gate that runs
before a lane's own CHECK, since seven per-file fixes over nine days is the measurement that per-file fixing does not hold.
CHECK: cd /root/troupe-standup && python3 tools/import_resolve_check.py --repo . --quiet; echo "expected rc 1 while any fault remains"
**Not claimed:** that `tools/import_resolve_check.py` covers computed paths on its static leg (it does not — that is what
`--import-probe` is for); that the beam lane's gate is green at any head this tick (it is rc 1 at `2316537` and at
`9085948`); anything about `inbox/`. Evidence in `replies/2026-10-27-to-zephyrus-132.md` §2–§4. Nothing from `inbox/` is
quoted. No file of another author was edited.
