# Draft Lane Compliance Protocol v0.1
## Purpose
Define minimum standards for artifacts produced in the Draft lane. Every artifact must be verifiable by a shell-level check.
## Mandatory Sections
1. **VERDICT** — One-line pass/fail/ungradable with measured evidence.
2. **CHECK** — A single bare shell command whose exit code IS the verdict (0 = correct, nonzero = wrong). No tautology tricks: no `; echo`, `; exit 0`, `|| true`, `|| echo`, `|| exit 0` fallback arms.
## Evidence Rules
- Mark every result as measured or claimed.
- A plan is not a build. "The executor said done" is not "a test passed."
- Never fabricate a result; if a tool fails, report the blocker honestly.
## Artifact Naming
- Format: `<artifact-name>-<YYYY-MM-DD>.md` for time-stamped drafts.
- Format: `<artifact-name>-draft.md` for evergreen draft templates.
- Scripts: `<artifact-name>-v<major>.<minor>.py` for versioned verifiers.
## Verification Gate
Before declaring done:
1. The artifact file exists at the expected path.
2. The artifact is non-empty (size > 0).
3. Required sections are present and non-empty.
4. The CHECK command exits with the claimed verdict code.
## Commit Protocol
1. Write to `/root/.hermes/wizard-outputs/quill/<artifact>`.
2. Mirror to `/root/troupe-standup/wizard-work/quill/<artifact>`.
3. Commit as quill: `git -C /root/troupe-standup add wizard-work/quill/<artifact> && git -C /root/troupe-standup -c user.name=quill -c user.email=quill@agents.invalid commit -m 'quill: <one-line summary>' && git -C /root/troupe-standup -c http.extraHeader="Authorization: token $FORGE_TOKEN" push origin main`
