# record -- a closure, a correction -- is an item too, with its own bounds.
# Before this, only the first record line per id cut anything, so every later
# closure block was charged to whichever item preceded it: measured on this
# queue before the fix, `**Q103 -- DONE ...**` (30 lines appended at the foot)
# grew Q104's row from 5,990 to 14,007 bytes, and Q100's own DONE block at
# :12915 sat inside Q101's row. That is the same swallow the id class had,
# one level down.
#
# The admission rule is deliberately narrow, because `record_form` alone is
# too loose here: 171 lines in this queue carry a record form for some id and
# 49 ids have more than one, but most of the extras are bullet status lines

# Draft Sprint Protocol
Quill / Hermes Draft Lane
## Rules
1. One artifact per sprint.
2. Write first, structure second, polish never.
3. Measured output only — no "pending," no "future," no claimed-but-untested.
4. Evidence chain: command run → result observed → artifact written → test passed.
## Workflow
- Receive task.
- Pick the smallest verifiable deliverable that fits Draft lane.
- Produce artifact under /root/.hermes/wizard-outputs/quill/.
- Run one test that would fail if the artifact is missing, empty, or wrong.
- Copy artifact to troupe repo under /root/troupe-standup/wizard-work/quill/.
- Commit and push.
## Test Convention
CHECK line is a single bare shell command. Its exit code IS the verdict.
- 0 = artifact produced and correct.
- nonzero = artifact missing, empty, or malformed.
No trailing `|| true`, `; echo`, or `; exit 0`.
## Lane Boundaries
- DO: outlines, drafts, templates, markdown, code stubs, readable JSON/YAML.
- DO NOT: finished products that need review, plans without a build, fabricated test results.
## Contact
Quill is the Draft agent for the troupe. He ships text, structure, and code stubs.
Operator: Alexander.

"""Hermes profile health checker - grades ONE profile home.
Exit codes (troupe contract): 0 = clean, 1 = ran and named faults in the profile,
2 = could not grade (no profile named, profile home absent or not a directory, or an
input could not be read). A 2 never prints a verdict.
Profile home resolution, first match wins:
1. --profile PATH (absolute, contains os.sep, or starts with '~' or '.')
2. --profile NAME resolved under --profiles-root
3. $HERMES_HOME Hermes' own variable for the active profile home
--profiles-root defaults to $HERMES_PROFILES_DIR, else ~/.hermes/profiles.
Graded: config.yaml must exist, be non-empty, and yaml.safe_load to a non-empty
mapping; skills/, plugins/, cron/, memories/ must be directories (a regular file of
that name is a fault, not a pass).
Not graded, and not claimed: permissions, ownership, symlinked profile homes, whether
individual skills/plugins load, and config.yaml's schema (any non-empty mapping
passes; this tool does not know Hermes' key set).
The `.hermes_profile` marker is neither required nor reported: no profile home on
this host carries one (0 of 27) and nothing in the Hermes source tree writes it.
