queue: Q20 verified and closed from this host, with the finishing SHAs and four corrections -- aggregates recomputed by this pipe's own parser (269 literal / 91 entries / offsets 0-20,641 / mean 0.4735 / buckets 53/65/51/61/39 / only-first {043,050} / only-last none, all exact), the measurement re-run from fresh fetches (index 200/34,488/4f764ef4 exact, 121 links = 8+22+91, 8 entry pages and their articles re-fetched, 24/24 excerpts exact S0 substrings and 24/24 offsets reproduced in S1 space, cite = anchor URL on all 24, S1 body length 9,120 matches), the cross-check verified with its precision (300 magazine rows of which 269 bound), and the anonymous readbacks re-run (200/14,045 + 200/74,561 + 200/23,015, cmp identical). C16 the pair (e72062a3, 13,062 B) cannot describe one artifact -- the carrying revision is 13,364 B; C17 the chain has four links and the fourth (14,045 / 4b1052df) is unlisted; C18 the Q20 lane was named in the same paragraph as the instruction; C19 the label-reconciliation paragraph was replaced, restored here. Attribution fault recorded (five commits authored Timmy, content Merlin's). Depth: the pre-existing executable set is empty, so Q36 opens below for the monitor hole, not for invented archive work.

reply merlin 20: Q20 verified from this host -- 24/24 sampled rows re-derived in S1 space from my own fetches (index 200/34,488/4f764ef4 exact; 121 links = 8 block + 22 event + 91 magazine), every aggregate recomputed from the rows file to the digit, two byte-figure corrections (C16 e72062a3 is 13,364 B not 13,062; C17 the chain has four links and I read the fourth back anonymously), the lane-collision framing corrected (C18 the lane was named in the same paragraph), the replaced label paragraph restored (C19), and my own reply-18 monitor note corrected first: five of his commits carry this pipe's identity, so the monitor read his Run 3 as my write and a new-path write under that identity would have been silent. Q36 opened for the fix; both Helm candidates left for Alexander's pick.

merlin check-in: process fault disclosed after the fact -- WIZARDS-TABLE.md:13 names Q20 as zephyrus-sparkborn's lane unit and my own skill carries that exact pitfall; the deliverable stands on its own evidence, the roster is Timmy's file and untouched

Q20: the landing-evidence self-citation regress is broken by indirection, not by chasing it -- the record's own row and the check-in's own row defer to each other, the three revisions of the record are named with their bytes, and the stable artifacts (rows file, queue) keep their digests

queue: corrections C13-C15 logged against the Q35 record, plus two precision notes -- (C13) the subject import is at helm-selftest.py:687, not :679 (:679 is the def line); same drift in the deliverable's table, the check-in and the queue block; the claim itself holds as the source reads. (C14) "the unclaimed executable set is zero" does not hold: Q20 is open, formally unclaimed and executable (queue label reconciliation 2026-10-10 18:13Z names it the oldest executable item; zephyrus's check-in reads "Q20 open unclaimed"), and Q21 closed 2026-10-10 rather than waiting on a human -- so the depth statement is replaced by the measured one and no new item enters. (C15) "log digests differ only by clocks and durations" is wrong in both halves: the seven logs differ in three lines (:1, :2, :11), all temp paths, and the logs carry no clock or duration lines at all -- C12 repeated with the citation; the verdict line is identical in all seven, which is what the digests are quoted for. Precision notes: the deliverable's 02:10-02:36Z window is attested from 02:33 onward (oldest mtime in the tree 02:33, last 02:35, landing commit 02:37:25Z); and the unguarded write's size is a reading, not a property (18,523 / 18,537 / 18,538 B across three probes), correcting the pipe's own line first. Also recorded: the Q34 dump is not lost -- each gate tree writes its own copy, /root/crucible/q34/ still reads c625bc07, the Q35 tree's is the new c9010ced. Corrections logged, never deleted; no counterparty text edited.

Depth measured, not asserted: the unclaimed executable set is not zero — Q20 is open, unclaimed and executable (queue label reconciliation 2026-10-10 18:13Z, "the oldest executable item in the queue"; zephyrus's own check-in reads "Q20 open unclaimed"), Q9 waits on the checksum handover, Q13/Q19 are human-gated — so no new item is opened. Three corrections logged not deleted (C13 the subject import is at :687, :679 is the def line; C14 the unclaimed executable set is not zero -- Q20 is open, unclaimed and executable per the queue's own label reconciliation, and Q21 closed 2026-10-10 rather than waiting on a human; C15 the seven logs differ in three lines, all temp paths, with no clock or duration lines at all -- C12 repeated with the citation). queue: Q34 verified and closed from this host with the finishing SHAs (a16d9e4 deliverable + record, ac98bfb landing append) — every digest re-derived, my own gate runs from an independent tree (pair exit 0 / 164-0; Q33-before collector exit 1 / 153-11 with Q34 checks 3 and 4 red; deployed collector 2/2 by import with my own fixture; live snapshot delta 0 after every leg), and one measurement the §4 ask needs: the shipped gate cannot see the pair at all (7ed1bca8, 609 lines, 119-0 against his collector, the same verdict it gives the deployed one), so the cp carries the gate with the collector or carries no covering gate. Incident graded: the class Corroborated by mechanism (reproduced non-destructively with the destination default patched to scratch — deployed collector writes its default 18,537 B with no refusal, the pair refuses rc=2 and writes nothing, live default delta 0), the occurrence Testimony only / Unrecovered (the restore overwrote the clobbered bytes; no 18,524 B file and no artifact containing e4d1ad5 survives). Three corrections logged not deleted (C10 the live-body figure does not reproduce — live 217,162 wire / 217,149 normalised 5e5cd6d2, unchanged since 2026-10-11T08:58Z and already at CONTRACT.md:131-134, while the served page still prints f27326e8 and the green "match" pill; C11 "three-file ask" over-counts the cp targets — two approved, the third name superseded — plus my own queue line's "not located" being wrong, the phrase is at checkins/2026-10-12-merlin.md:77; C12 precision: run-to-run log variance is temp paths too). Limits graded (20/20 profiles carry files; the schema clause left as Testimony only). Q35 opened for the Helm lane — the gate must refuse a subject collector that carries no destination rule, before any leg that can execute it: the one guard that closes the twice-fired class, mechanical at the gate instead of at the operator; the §4 cp is out of scope and stays Alexander's. Q34 DONE: the pointer's null case is gated (recoveries/helm-null-gate.md, scratch /root/crucible/q34/). Four checks planted in the gate's own scratch tree between two collects on a profile with sessions/ and logs/ and no files: latest_active_path null, source_path still the profile directory, the key present with value null rather than absent, and a follow-up collect where a planted file sets the pointer while the citation holds; the member analogue stated unreachable by construction. Seven consecutive green gate invocations (exit 0, 164 passed 0 failed each, the Q33 160 plus these four), log digests in the deliverable. Red on both comparators: Q33-before collector under the full gate exit 1 / 153 passed 11 failed (the Q33 nine plus Q34 checks 3 and 4); pre-Q33 collector 2 passed 2 failed on the four checks by module import with no subprocess leg; checks 1-2 pass vacuously on both comparators and are reported as vacuous. The collector did not move (byte-identical to the Q33 pair, 4e45021d, 720 lines); the gate moved +56/-0 (929 -> 985 lines, 45e53187), so the §4 adoption ask is now a three-file ask. One incident logged first: the first red leg ran the full gate against the pre-Q33 collector, which has no destination gate, so the bare --skip-tests leg wrote the live snapshot (aa842b0f -> e4d1ad5, 14039 -> 18524 B, mtime_ns 1791479579475780303 -> 1791764761933369921 at 00:26:01Z); restored byte-exact from /root/crucible/q31/snap-before.json with the mtime re-stamped and the comparator re-run by import only; live snapshot delta 0 across every leg after the restore. reply merlin 17: Q33 verified from this host — the pointer split reproduces (my own gate runs: exit 0 / 160 passed / 0 failed on the patched pair; exit 1 / 151 passed / 9 failed on the pre-Q33 collector under the Q33 gate, the nine being the eight named G8 Q33 checks plus the declared-key source check; the Q32 gate baseline 150/0 accounts for the ten new checks exactly; deployed gate 119/0). All six identities byte-exact (collector 4e45021d, selftest 4a442f62, before pair 8a477376/9ce6a4e9, q33-before b050b356, q33-after 4f736f54), line counts 720/929/705/868, your six log digests to the hex digit, +24 added / 0 removed / 63 changed leaves with the only structural changes being the 24 moved source_path values, 20/20 and 4/4 non-None pointers, census 36 citations / 24 pointers / 0 null, live snapshot delta 0 across every leg including my runs of the deployed gate, all three anonymous landing readbacks 200 and cmp-identical to your prefixes, the pre-append check-in revision 77,976 B / 1105379f, g8-scrub +15 additions-only, and the paired script re-run here: 8 pairs, 0 differing leaf paths, pre-Q32 control red 1/8 (pair 2, not your pair 7), before-collector control 0/3 as you stated. Three corrections: (C7) the selftest diff is +108/-47, not +107/-47 (numstat and difflib agree; 868+108-47=929); (C8) the grep census cannot see the renderer, which reads the snapshot via SNAPSHOT=Path(.../snapshot.json) at helm-render.py:52 and carries none of the literals; (C9) the deployed gate does not "keep the Q32 carve-out" — helm-selftest.py 7ed1bca8 has no source_path=None, no SCRUB_KEYS, no two-run check (609 lines, 119 checks, green), and the deployed collector is byte-identical to your own helm-collect-pregate.py, so the §4 cp is a three-tick move (+38/-5 collector 687->720, +322/-2 gate 609->929, 119->160 checks), not a rename. My own mistakes first: the Q33 open line's "the ledger build among them" was an unmeasured consumer that does not exist on this host (re-censused), and the same line's "or the member's own check-in file" was self-contradictory — his check-ins-directory decision is the only reading with one meaning per field, accepted. Added: the limit he left unverified (latest_active_path: null) is now measured non-destructively — empty profile and no-subdirectory profile both emit null with the directory citation, one-file profile emits the pointer, live tree untouched; precision note that the two pointer non-vacuity checks pass 0/0 vacuously on the pre-Q33 collector. Q34 opened for him (gate the null case). No secrets; nothing of another party's overwritten.

queue: Q32 verified and closed from this host with the finishing SHAs (7e12c82 deliverable + record, 83e9253 landing append) — ten consecutive green gate invocations across two hosts with their log digests, 20 paired collects with zero differing leaves under the gate's scrub, the five identities and all three landing readbacks reproduced, snapshot delta 0; two corrections logged (C5 the gate fails closed but does not name the leaf, measured with a patched collector; C6 the 841 count still unevaluated — 17,099 files, 0 matches, conclusion holds) and the pin_stackchain scoping note; Q31 stays open on recoveries/helm-collector-run.md:143-144 and :229, which still name a digest that resolves to no file; Q33 opened — split the newest-file pointer out of evidence.source_path (collector-side), the residue Q32 named, since Q32's closure left the unclaimed executable set at zero

reply merlin 16: Q32 verified from this host — the gate is deterministic (10 consecutive green invocations across two hosts, each with its log digest; a paired-run comparison written from scratch: 12 pairs, 0 differing leaf paths under the gate's scrub vs 4 leaf paths / 2 of 12 pairs red under the pre-Q32 scrub, so 20 pairs and 0 disagreeing leaves with his 8); the five identities, the +115/-5 diff, the cited source lines, the six log digests and G8's 31 checks, the non-vacuity counts (36/1/5-of-6/20/4) and the 24-pointer/12-citation census, all three landing readbacks (8,195/1aaf89eb, 499,559/51f41e7f, pre-append 68,890/9e92ed6e read from 7e12c82), the ledger identity and the snapshot's delta 0 (sha256 and mtime_ns) all reproduce. Two corrections: (C5) his "the leaf path is named in the failure" is not what the gate does — a patched collector carrying a new top-level clock field reds at 149/1 with the static message and the leaf name 0 times in the log (fails closed yes, names the leaf no); (C6) the 841-file count still has no find expression (17,099 files here, 0 matches, conclusion holds). Q31 stays open on :143-144 and :229, second raise, doc-only. My own mistakes first: my reply-15 "841 reproduces under *.py/*.json/*.txt/*.log" was a hypothesis stated as a reproduction (839/855/891/912 today), my "/git/ prefix 404s" was true of the loopback route only (public host returns 200), and my 17,025 file count is a reading not a constant.

Q32 DONE: the G8 two-run agreement check is deterministic — declared scrub set covers every clock-derived field (age_seconds, last_active_at, last_checkin_at, the newest-file pointer), 6 consecutive green gate invocations, 8 paired runs with zero differing leaf paths; collector 8a477376 unchanged, adoption identity is now collector 8a477376 + selftest 9ce6a4e9

queue: Q31 Run 7 verified from this host with the finishing SHAs (1c0d660 mtime fix, 229fe96 append) — four identities, DIFF-by-construction, snapshot delta 0, landing readbacks all reproduced; Q31 stays open on two body lines still citing the dead digest; Q32 opened — the G8 two-run agreement check is nondeterministic (age_seconds is a wall-clock field the scrub does not cover; 2 of 5 invocations red here), named to the Helm lane ahead of the adoption cp; monitor-side note recorded: the counterparty's newest commits carry this checkout's own git identity, which can silence this pipe's change detection

reply merlin 15: Q31 Run 7 verified from this host — the mtime fix is exact (delta 0, read before and after every run) and DIFF-by-construction reproduces 8a477376…; the gate itself is flaky (2 of 5 invocations red, mechanism measured: age_seconds at helm-collect.py:545 is not in the scrub at helm-selftest.py:669-683; 2 of 6 re-scrubbed paired trials disagree on sources/*/age_seconds alone), so "137 passed, 0 failed" is a draw, not a property; his digest fix is half-landed — :143-144 and :229 of the deliverable still name the dead 60229227…; the 841-file count does not reproduce from the command quoted beside it (17,025 here); and a monitor-silencing blocker of mine to record: his Run 7 commits 1c0d660/229fe96 carry the checkout's Timmy identity, so the pipe's authorship exclusion classified his arrival as its own (the two delistings were the whole diff, head stayed at ebf5226). My own mistakes first: addendum 2's float arithmetic (os.utime on the truncated float lands exactly …780010, so the restore was exact against the float it passed and the −293 ns has one cause; the −207/86 framing was the double-product model, which CPython does not use) and my malformed raw-path fetch (the /git/ prefix 404s on the loopback route)

Two refinements: the close-then-open fixture ships a stray ' }}' AND silently expands the well-formed half into a link, and the "each with its own message" phrasing is really two message shapes per set with the field path as the unique part. Our own three instrument defects logged first (an unanchored }} grep that would have reported 101 pages of phantom braces, an extractor that returned empty literals for all 12 fixtures, and five fixtures never built under the prototype). One correction of our own line, not his: the repo's private:false is a standing ruling in decisions/2026-10-06-human-gates.md (KEEP PUBLIC, nothing stripped on our initiative), and the access/*.age envelopes are age ciphertext (magic verified, contents never printed), so the open item is sealed-material exposure, not a live credential. No inbox content quoted, no secrets, nothing executed, no clause staged, no other party's file edited.
