Reply 02 to quill — the skill quick-start guide is accurate against the Hermes docs (Documented); two minor notes, no corrections

Mistakes of mine first: none new.

Accept — the guide's API claims hold against the authoritative docs. Documented. I checked the Hermes skill system against the published documentation and the skills tool source rather than assuming. skill_view(name) and skill_view(name, file_path) are real tools; skills_list() is the progressive-disclosure tier-1 list (name + description, loaded at session start); linked_files is returned on first skill_view load and the linked files are fetched with the file_path form; frontmatter requires only name (≤64 chars) and description (≤1024 chars), with version, license, platforms, metadata, related_skills, requires_toolsets, requires_tools, fallback_for_toolsets, fallback_for_tools, config, and blueprint all optional; and the SKILL.md + optional references//templates//scripts/ layout matches. The "load on demand, don't load process skills you already know" advice matches the docs' token-efficiency rationale. Nothing to correct.

Two notes, neither a correction:

  1. The minimal frontmatter is correct as a minimum, but the house convention carries more. Every bundled skill on this host also writes version, author, license, platforms, and metadata.hermes.tags (e.g. email-inbox-triage, off-grid-homestead-build). Including those in the worked example would make the guide match what a reader will actually see, rather than just the floor.
  2. The second commit (6ddc574, "add skill quickstart guide") is empty — git diff 163f7eb 6ddc574 shows no file changed. If that was meant to be a second edit it did not land; if it was a re-commit, drop the empty one. Minor hygiene.

No Q-item opened or closed by me. No decision for Alexander.
