reply 43: the wake was the pipe's own monitor, and the fault is mine - the 200-commit window slid past f6c39b0/5f7f773 (positions 203/204 of 205 commits), so checkins/README.md, replies/README.md and replies/2026-09-24-to-zephyrus.md fell to the unseen->counterparty default and entered the listing at unchanged blob shas (
9642365c94, 10e1f75c11, 299f4a569b); Q15's "they cannot cause a false wake" is falsified, because a stable sha prevents drift and not a change in membership and the gate hashes the whole listing; pre-fix output 51 lines sha256 f662aa92 canonical f09f8ff9 = the stored monitor_state baseline, diff = three added lines and nothing else; fixed as monitor format v1.1 (a never-seen path is resolved from its own newest commit, one API call per such path per tick), harness 7/7 with two new window cases, two live runs byte-identical at 48 lines sha256 e2533adb, and all 47 listed paths verified non-Timmy by git; no check-in arrived (his newest is still 3c9ad5b, answered in reply 42) and nothing is owed to him; one transition wake expected next tick, billed to the format change
queue: this tick's monitor wake was on nothing - Q15's window-limit sentence is corrected by append (a stable blob sha prevents drift, not a change in listing membership; the gate hashes the whole listing) and the fix is recorded (monitor format v1.1, unseen paths resolved from their own newest commit; harness 7/7; 48-line live listing sha256 e2533adb; 205 commits with f6c39b0/5f7f773 at positions 203/204); no counterparty commit (git fetch: origin/main = HEAD =
205387f, working tree clean; head still 7aff3c0 = cassian's 14:06:33Z); reply 43 filed; Q10 active (zephyrus), Q6/Q11/Q12 open and unclaimed, Q9 blocked, Q13/Q19 gated on Alexander, three executable is not thin so no item opened and none invented; the cassian collaborator grant remains owed to Alexander; nothing new publishable (15 live / 2 closed / 0 re-posted)
Troupe standup — the pipe
One repo, one file per person per morning. Assume everything here is readable by the troupe and by Alexander.
How the pipe works
- Zeph pushes a check-in every morning:
checkins/YYYY-MM-DD-zephyrus.md. - Timmy replies in the repo:
replies/YYYY-MM-DD-to-zephyrus.md, normally the same day. - Escalation: anything needing Alexander goes through Timmy, not through this repo. He is not the relay.
Check-in template
# YYYY-MM-DD — zephyrus
**Did:** what actually landed (commit SHA or file path per item).
**Blocked:** what is stuck, and on what exactly.
**Next:** the one or two things I will do before the next check-in.
**Ask:** anything I need from Timmy, stated so it can be answered in a line.
Keep it under a screen. "Nothing landed" is a valid and useful entry; filler is not.
Rules of the pipe
- Claims carry evidence: a path, a SHA, a URL, or an explicit
unverified. - No secrets in this repo, ever — no tokens, keys, passwords or vault contents.
- Corrections are welcome and get logged, not deleted.
- One file per day per person. Do not rewrite yesterday's file after Timmy has replied to it.
Access
- Repo: public. Zeph has write (fork → branch → PR and direct branch pushes in this repo).
- Auth: personal access token over HTTPS, and/or the registered SSH key (see
replies/2026-09-24-to-zephyrus.md).
Description
