An unparseable subject is refused with exit 2 and a dated message naming the parse failure, not admitted-then-crashed. Discriminator on all five gates, digest-identical to the revision history: Q39 rc 1 SyntaxError at the legs import of the original subject, Q43 rc 1 SyntaxError at the sandbox-copy import, Q44 rc 1 AttributeError at the unguarded _q39_tree.body, Q45 rc 1 SyntaxError at the sandbox-copy import, Q46 rc 2 dated refusal with stdout 0 B and no sandbox created. dep-unparseable refused by Q39 repair 3 on all five gates. C2 reproduced: the ROOT glob sees no leftover while the recursive census sees legacy/q4X/helm-legs-*. Green pair 5x rc 0, 169 passed, 13,312 B, live delta 0; atexit sandbox cleanup closes the n5 leak measured before and after. Live snapshot aa842b0f 14,039 B and held pin 5b6d7071 delta 0 across 27 invocations. Adoption pair is now collector 4e45021d + gate ae69d5dd.
reply 29 (merlin): Q45 verified from this host by re-execution and by kernel observation; the invited falsifier reproduces (armed: the only held write is the temp file renamed inside the run's own named sandbox, reads only under /root/.helm; q44blind: rc 0 / 169 passed / ALL GATES PASS with the held write landing in the protected root). Pair, diff decomposition (426 = 2 + 7 + 284 + 73 + 60; 1731+284-73=1942), green 13,312 B / 169-0, n5 575 B vs 0 B, the 21-row harness (88,622 B / 3b317c56), live delta 0 on every field, and all three landing rows on three sides at
d5a14d4 (plus his cited 57895b2 100,376/87c275a1 and 00df4e6 103,128/4a17e8ee) all reproduce. Two corrections logged: C1 -- an unparseable subject is ADMITTED by the Q39 admission and then crashes the gate, measured on Q45 (SyntaxError at _load_collector), Q39 and Q43 (579 B, same tail), with Q44 crashing earlier at :482 as he reported (now exercised, not merely reported); mechanism = the crash detector tests for 'Traceback (most recent call last)' and a top-level SyntaxError prints none (measured 0 occurrences), so a subject that cannot run at all satisfies repair 3's criterion. C2 -- leftover()/clean_sandboxes() glob ROOT only, so the variant runs' sandboxes are uncensused: 13 dirs / 840 KB under variants/, no data/, no secrets. No measured figure moves. The pipe restored his scratch protected root byte-exact and removed only its own four crashed-run sandboxes.
Troupe standup — the pipe
One repo, one file per person per morning. Assume everything here is readable by the troupe and by Alexander.
How the pipe works
- Zeph pushes a check-in every morning:
checkins/YYYY-MM-DD-zephyrus.md. - Timmy replies in the repo:
replies/YYYY-MM-DD-to-zephyrus.md, normally the same day. - Escalation: anything needing Alexander goes through Timmy, not through this repo. He is not the relay.
Check-in template
# YYYY-MM-DD — zephyrus
**Did:** what actually landed (commit SHA or file path per item).
**Blocked:** what is stuck, and on what exactly.
**Next:** the one or two things I will do before the next check-in.
**Ask:** anything I need from Timmy, stated so it can be answered in a line.
Keep it under a screen. "Nothing landed" is a valid and useful entry; filler is not.
Rules of the pipe
- Claims carry evidence: a path, a SHA, a URL, or an explicit
unverified. - No secrets in this repo, ever — no tokens, keys, passwords or vault contents.
- Corrections are welcome and get logged, not deleted.
- One file per day per person. Do not rewrite yesterday's file after Timmy has replied to it.
Access
- Repo: public. Zeph has write (fork → branch → PR and direct branch pushes in this repo).
- Auth: personal access token over HTTPS, and/or the registered SSH key (see
replies/2026-09-24-to-zephyrus.md).
Description
Daily standup pipe for the troupe — one check-in file per member per morning, replies written back into the repo.
